Diarrhea Madman,
Looses Pairing Constantly
Just bought the device a couple of days ago from Costco. While the monitor does the great job measuring blood pressure and the heart rate, I have to constantly pair it to my iPhone, unlike all my other Bluetooth devices that automatically pair when they are within the range. I decided to live with that until now.

After measuring my blood pressure and saw that the monitor was paired with my iPhone (shown as “connected” under the Bluetooth devices), I tried importing the results from the Dashboard but nothing would happen. I’d drop the connection and try again to no avail, or the device be discovered only sporadically-very frustrating! It’s not iPhone issue because I have no such problem with my other Bluetooth devices.

Thank God for Costco’s great refund policy. I will be shopping around for different monitors and, if I find one that works flawlessly on Bluetooth, I will return Microlife.
Alexa1475,
Will not sync or pair
I wanted to think that the issues that caused all the low ratings were fixed. I wanted this to work! It did for one day. ONE. Then it wouldn’t sync anymore. What is the point of having a supposedly Bluetooth compatible device if the app won’t work with the device it’s made for? I am probably returning it to Costco for a full refund, and will avoid this brand.
Wouldn’t import data to phone. Wouldn’t sync. I tried clearing the pairing in my phone settings so I could start over. Then it couldn’t see the device at all. Like it wasn’t sending out a Bluetooth signal, even though the Bluetooth symbol was flashing. Then it said the setup was incomplete and I had to clear it and do it over. But how do you clear it in the device? Plus the phone didn’t even see the device. I tried taking the batteries out. Had to redo the date so it must have cleared the memory. But still wouldn’t pair. The device seems like it is 15-20 years behind the times. The touch screen is a joke. So maybe I should have expected the app to not work? Also, the app is not intuitive. We have been spoiled by beautifully designed apps that don’t even require instructions. This is not one of those.

App is Okay - Documentation Needs Help
Downloaded the app after I had purchased the Microlife BP monitor from Costco. Set up my profile and was ready to download my readings from the monitor to my iPhone. I needed to get the BP monitor to turn on its Bluetooth...so I read the manual which said to press and hold the Power switch to activate the Bluetooth. Well, this model had a slide switch for the power...not a button. Called the Microlife support and was helped relatively quickly...the manual is wrong they said. Press and hold the Start icon on the screen. That worked!

The app does download the readings quickly. I haven’t tried exporting the data but will soon. It would be nice if the app could generate a simple graph of the blood pressure readings.

So I’ve had no Bluetooth connection problems with my iPhone at all. The app itself seems to work but has limited functions. Hopefully the developers will add more features in the future.
BillyBobSing,
Device is fine, app is awful
I constantly have to re-pair the device to my phone. Often I have to reboot my phone to get it to work. It might do 2 or 3 data syncs and then it fails again.
For all the “good” reviewers who think the bad reviews are just stupid people who don’t read the instructions (awkwardly written and as incomplete as they are) I’ll say that I’m a software developer who knows a thing or two about troubleshooting issues and I’m not dismissive of end user issues, especially when the same issue (looses pairing) is reported multiple times.
If it happens to work for you, great! But you should understand there’s a serious flaw (probably in the device’s firmware) that creates problems for a large percentage of users.
DancinDana,
Great app!
Being someone newly diagnosed with hypertension, I need consistent monitoring. This app has made it very simple. The data upload has worked well with my iPhone X. I have not used the timer yet, but definitely will start. Haven’t found any major bugs.

A couple of suggestions to throw out for added plus:
- Have a general note/ledger page or a general medication dosage page for each person, in addition to the ability to the existing notes for each measurement. This would make it much easier to make note of medication dose amounts and changes , dates & times. Otherwise, I am going through and opening one at a time to search for something specific.
- ability to print data in addition to emailing.
rope776,
Good HBP monitor and easy to use
I bought it from Costco and had doubts to keep it because of bad reviews on App. I have it a try, and overall impression remained positive.
I had no problem to sync up measurement from monitor to my iPhone App. For those who had issues, please use circular arrows icon in the right top corner after synchronization is offered on monitor screen. If you didn’t make it during the allocated time, your measurement remains on monitor, and it will be offered to save again next time you measure BP.
Also App allows to keep or delete u wanted data (for example guest results) to keep personal queue neat.
My BP is not stable, therefore I can’t control accuracy of this device. But when my spouse measures BP results seem accurate.
Airlne Pilot in MD,
So far, so good!
I just bought this device from Costco two days ago and have used it twice with perfect results. I have an iPhone SE and when I finish taking my BP, I push the synch button in the app on my phone at the same time that the Microlife device Bluetooth symbol is flashing after taking by BP, indicating the device is ready to transmit the results and both times the data transferred immediately. The device is made well and the app functions correctly to record readings and allows you to send them (by email, text, or any other option on my iPhone). Very happy and would recommend this device and app to anyone looking for a good device!
IgnacioATX,
I’ll give it 4 stars because I can’t give it 4.9.
See everything works perfect. The missing 0.1 to give it 5 stars to microlife device and app is because you gotta take an extra step to sync data to your iPhone. I read other reviews about it doesn’t sync well. I was experiencing the same situation, because we are used to the simple and easy way of how other devices sync, in this case is a bit different so I suggest to take a few minutes to read the instructions in the book and watch the tutorial in the app. After doing it so all will make perfect sense. Data transfer is easy and fast, you can even share it with your specialist.
DJP111,
Very Pleased
Don’t be misled by the negative reviews, this app with BP3GY1-2N monitor from Costco have worked perfectly for me. I have had no issues syncing two phones (my wife and I both have iPhone 6’s) to two separate profiles in the app repeatedly with no failures, and the info transfers to the iOS Health App flawlessly as well. The one thing that tripped me up at first was trying to use a nickname to increase privacy in the app profile name, as suggested by Developer in response to a review. I found out that the profile full name must match the Health App profile name on the phone if you want the data to transfer there.
Mark L W,
Just what the doctor ordered
Purchased my Microlife Bluetooth Blood Pressure Monitor three days ago from Costco store, it works just fine. Syncing to my iPhone was a breeze, saving my tests results to my iPhone is easy - just push save!
I haven’t been able to set the hour parameters for daytime and nightime readings so that by pushing the “sun-morning”or “moon-evening” buttons I see only specific time readings which according to the tutorial can be “identify hour range” set by me.
I particularly appreciate the three test averaging, where it automatically tests three times with a 15 second pause in between each test and averages the three tests together.
