Best meditation app out there
Been meditating since I was 9 and have tried many approaches, and in recent years used a number of apps for guided meditations. Melli and Cory give the best, non-religious introductions and guideposts throughout each meditation. Having a new one every day is grounding and helps you feel like you’re growing. I’ve been using it for over a year and a half, after reading STOP MISSING YOUR LIFE, and I use up all the 30-day passes every month, I’ve recommended it to so many loved ones. You can select the amount of time you want each meditation to last, so it’s also ideal if you have a changing schedule / a lot of resistance / only have a few minutes, or if you want to spend more time, you can go up to 30 minutes per session. Also, both teachers are grounded and gentle, realistic and of-this-world. Every day there’s joy waiting within, and this app has helped open me to it, even on days when I least expect it. Very grateful for it.

Getting in touch with the “Deep I”
I just went through an intuitive guidance meditation and wow, I have never really been “there” this is soooo hopeful, soooo promising, soooo enlightening and I am just scratching the surface. Cory Muscara is just a wonderful vehicle, an enabler, a mentor, a facilitator to get you “there”. I highly recommend this app! I was somewhat skeptical when it first came out, in comparison with other apps in this space, but it has so grown on me during its evolution, so much so, that I expect to be a forever subscriber. Cory’s and Melli’s teachings have so resonated with me, have so grown my awareness and shined a light on the fact that I have I lot of work to do but there is a much better path moving forward. Do not expect instant results for you, it is a work in progress. This not a light switch, it is more like a dimmer that slowly gets brighter. It requires patience and consistency. I cannot thank you both enough, your guest teachers and the team responsible for making this happen.

This is life changing!
So i suffer with insomnia and bad anxiety and I don’t really know how to express it. This app really helps relieve anxiety no matter where you are. And this helps me sleep better with their sleep stories! Even though I don’t realy get to finish the stories i fall asleep withing 10-15 minutes. It helps me feel better about sleeping alone in the dark because I have HORRIBLE fear of the dark and I have breakdowns when my door is closed, even open im scared but this app makes me feel like im not alone and that i can finally have a good night rest in a long time. And it makes me comfortable doing things that I wouldn’t want to do in my everyday life. So I definitely reccoment if you or someone in your life suffers from bad anxiety or depression or also insomnia like me. Please speead this word, it can really help people in need. Supportive guidance, great for beginners
I’ve been using this app for several months now. I had run into Mrs. Mindfulness online and love her perspectives. She has worked with a variety of mindfulness “masters.”

I started with the free version of the app, and when they ran a special on the lifetime membership I decided to go for it. Even though I don’t always meditate daily, knowing I will always have this resource is great.

I like that there is a very short presentation before each daily meditation. It sets the mood and gives good food for thought. Then the theme is applied in the guided meditation.

At any time I can choose a different “track” (for example, stress relief or improving sleep). And each day I can choose how long I want to mediate (anywhere from 5 or 6 minutes to 20 and sometimes more are the options). The experience is very customizable.

There are two instructors, Mrs. Mindfulness (Melli) and a young man whom I like just as well, if not better.

I like that I can set a time of day for the app to remind me to meditate, too.

I would say this is a nice app for beginning and intermediate mediators. It helps build the meditation habit and skills. If I don’t want so much guidance I can just listen to my intro for the day and then mediate on my own. But I usually choose to listen to the structured meditation, at least for 5-6 minutes.

Am appreciating the nuances of awareness/ focus/ choice she encourages. Equanimity is very different from numbness.
Im seeing spectra in minds’ eye as if i have my finger on the slider which digitally changes the intensities of color, light, shadow, tone.
After years of resisting Chemotherapy for inoperable cancer, i am adopting choices of low doses and adjuvants for increasing energy/ queasiness…or decreasing nausea, yet dimming emotion and sensation.
My partner just served me green tea and is watching TV in another room.
Ima transplant some seedlings now.

Old review i forgot to send:Acceptance of the difficult; the sensations/ associations, yet anchoring in the reality and refuge of the breath. This meditn was one i cd sit with: it soothed my distress aboyt today’s 7- day deal-with-your-inner-critic. ( My opinion:): John got too focused on the negative, the “pain points”, w/o enough reinforcement of the ways to challenge and transmute the critic(s). I was unable to leave a review for this one so im slipping it in, along with a re-direct to what i did appreciate: thanking the critics for their opinions. Noting the secondary gains of being stuck in the cycles of insufficiency. Anyway, both voices are excellent and the English accent is a fine topping. Thank You, Mindfulness-mongers!

Anxiety Attack
I go to gymnastics,and I am not trying to brag but I am very good at it. So because of that, I am very young and I am put in a class with people way older than ME. Last class I ran out crying, and I have been thinking about the other girls thoughts and what they think of me. All of my anxiety has taken over me where I can’t even bring up the word gymnastics. All of my family and friends have been trying their hardest to help me overcome that thought, but it just didn’t quite work. I tried the anxiety mediation today and the bells and the silence just helped me relax and rethink about what the other gymnastics are thinking about me. Now I no longer am thinking anything about their thoughts. Today I am going back to that class and I will be much calmer, and I am going to give it 100%. Thank you for helping me overcome this fear.

Very useful and helpful
Good afternoon, Mindfulness is a creative approach to guided meditation! Mindfulness begins its sessions with a deep breathing technique which is used to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, the same system that helps return our bodies to its normal resting state. My topic of focus was stress relieve. Throughout the sessions, your mentor introduces new ways to view or handle your stress. This is a method called cognitive challenging. This is practiced in Cognitive-behavioral therapy to help individuals learn to rethink and modify the distorted thoughts or predictions they have about themselves, the future, and the world. Although this is commonly practiced for those with a depressive disorder, it is a good maintenance tool to use regularly to help improve mood and behavior even if you do not suffer from this disorder. I would use this app in the morning after I had gotten ready for the day to help bring me back to earth before attending to the stressors of school.

The opposite of anxiety
A few years ago when I heard someone say they had anxiety I didn’t think it was a real thing. Now I know it’s as real as me being alive. More help like this is needed I have family members also of different ages who lifestyle is affected in a negative way because of how it keeps them from doing a lot of productive good things such a social gatherings and business. It paralyze you in a sense. Restrict your movements by limiting your fun and business activities, if you don’t get it under control with meds and or therapy. I suggest both. Both together has helped me and my family extremely. That’s coming from a woman that didn’t believe anxiety was a real thing definitely not a disorder/illness that’s in need of solutions to solve in order to have a decent lifestyle.

Great content; seriously overpriced
I did the first three days of daily mindfulness videos. It starts with a video explaining a mindfulness concept and is followed by a short (or long, depending on your preference) guided meditation. I have to say I found the content compelling, insightful, and engaging. However, after your first three sessions, you have no access to any further content unless you sign up for the most wildly overpriced subscription I’ve ever seen in an app. $96/year is a little insane, especially compared to the many free alternatives. I’ve decided that instead of springing for this quality, but costly, content, to stick with Balance, another meditation app I’ve used that’s completely free to use and still totally life-changing. If the price comes down in future, which I expect it will eventually have to, then I will reconsider paying for these videos, which I did thoutoghly enjoy and benefit from. Thank you and best of luck!
