==== IMPORTANT ====
"Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang AB.
Skins can only be uploaded to supported Minecraft platforms (i.e. Java and Bedrock Edition only at this moment in time). However, you can still design and share skins if you don't play these editions. The app does NOT support the creation of custom skins for Xbox edition at this time (it's impossible for us to add because the games don't support them!), although if the game allows it in the future, we will defiantly add definitely for it.

This version of the app may pop-up to tell you about important announcements from 57Digital Ltd. However, this will only happen in rare cases and will only ever pop-up once.

*** Uploading skins to Minecraft.net or Bedrock Edition requires the Minecraft game.

Our biggest update EVER... and it's FREE to our existing Skin Studio customers! Our previous version is over two years old now, so we felt it was time to update the app. So, rather than simply adding more-and-more features, we felt it was necessary to reimagine the whole app - so here you are, welcome to Minecraft Skin Studio Encore. It's got everything you love about Skin Studio - plus more!

- Completely new user interface
- Easier to use Skin Editor; now you can change body parts using our new "Body Bar" at the top of the screen!
- LOTS of new advanced tools*; including Dynamic Copy & Paste, Textured Spray can + more!
- Preview your skin in 3D while you're editing it! No need to keep switching screens.
- Full support for the brand new Alex skin model; that includes importing/editing/previewing/sharing/searching/etc!
- Gorgeous new Community Skin interface; with 3D previews everywhere!
- Better support for importing ("stealing") skins from Minecraft.net (it uses the new Mojang API)
- Better support for uploading to Minecraft.net (lots of error handling incase stuff goes wrong!)
+ much more... now stop reading and try it out already!

* The update to Skin Studio Encore is free! However to support the huge FIVE MONTH redevelopment cycle of Minecraft Skin Studio Encore... there are a couple of premium features that require unlocking via In-App Purchase. However, we have carefully selected these features to be "Power User" features that are not essential for everyone. You can quite happily use the app as you always have without purchasing anything else. Thank you for your awesome continue support - we love you! :-)

schimpfian2,
Absolutely the best mobile skin editor!
For a while now, I’ve been wanting to make my own custom skin in Minecraft, but all the other editors on the App Store I’ve tried just didn’t fit my needs. They had confusing interfaces, laggy Ui and a general uselessness for serious artwork outside of just using the premade skins that they stole off the internet. This app completely different. It has an excellent color mixing tool, a wonderfully smooth and intuitive user interface, and it has a good variety of premade skins that actually serve as good templates for creating your own skin. And the feature where you can copy anyone’s Minecraft skin is great for making your own version of a favorite you tubers skin, or finding a good base for your own. I was skeptical at first, especially after all the crappy skin editors I’ve used before, but this one was a great buy. The only feedback I have is a better system for storing custom colors would be a welcome addition, but overall, this is the best value for money skin editor I’ve used. Don’t get suckered in by the free, laggy ad filled editors on the app store, this is the only one I’ve used that’s worth your time.
Skins Don't Always Upload,
Skins Don’t Always Upload
Sometimes when I try to upload a skin it won’t upload at all, even if it’s been more than a few hours. Also some words that aren’t even curses are unnecessary censored and you can’t post skins with certain names, for example I was trying to make a Killer Croc skin from Batman, but their’s been an update that blocks the word killer. Sometimes not being able to upload skins for simple reasons like that is annoying. However as I stated earlier, some skins won’t upload at all. One skin I can’t get to upload is Kirby pixel art. But no matter how many times I try to upload it, it doesn’t upload. Overall it’s a pretty great app and it’s useful for making your own skins easily, there are some features that I wish they had like the ability to invert the colors of a skin. As I said before overall it’s a good app 4 of 5 stars.
❤ App,
Why the changes?
The app was perfectly fine how it was. There was no reason to remove the commenting feature. Now people can’t ask for requests or have discussions about skin creations. I’ve never seen a large amount of negative comments on MSS so it’s not like it’s just trying to make the environment more positive. Some solutions would to allow users to select whether they would want to receive comments on their posts, give users the ability to delete comments off of their post, and block users from commenting. But removing commenting all together overall makes the platform much less positive than it was before. Also why are so many features disabled instead of being removed? The dislike button is still sitting on every skin without the ability to click it. Is this just laziness from the devs? Is it really that hard to remove a useless feature? Besides, if you just don’t show users how many dislikes a post has, you can still have a rating system that works without the negative connotation that comes with it. Please have one thought about this situation and make the app functional for growing and communicating. Ban bad people, and give users rights. Thank you (:
Kittentamer12,
Amazing!💯
This skin editor is definitely the best I could ever use! It has excellent community skins, easy-to-use editor menus, and no ads! Even if this wasn’t the official skin editor, I would still think otherwise. The community skins are always so lovable and easy-to-edit. The best part by far is the fact that you can upload your custom skin to the Java platform! The only issue is that there is no color recognition when transferring from skin to skin. I mean that when you select a color and go to a different skin, you r color will not transfer unless you go back to the original skin and make an edit with your desired color.
Malipheyhou & Baila💕,
I miss the community. All of us want it back.
It's a great app for making skins, but the main factor in its success was the community. We built each other up, but now it's taken away. There were many flaws in the timeline, but the many years I've been on this app, none of those flaws were as big as taking away the community. A lot of people have left because of that, and I must admit, it gets lonely. It's now a relatively empty place and it's not lively like it used to be. Every year, I took breaks and came back the next year. Every time I came back, it was as welcoming as the last. Except for this year. I probably won't quit, but many others have. I hope this is temporary, as I have taken notice and I don't think anyone really likes the changes. This certainly makes this app less successful, so I don't think it benefits Chappers, and it's quite selfish. I think we should be able to have the right to comment, as this is annoying. That's all I have to say about the once welcoming and amazing app with a community that's been torn down.
deadlycobra,
Not what it used to be
I’ve been using MSS since 11 May 2018 and it has been my go-to editor ever since. To date, all but one of my custom skins that I’ve used in Minecraft have been created with MSS. And it wasn’t just that it was easy to use; the community was amazing, full of wonderful people.
At least, until recently.
I came back from a year-long hiatus to discover that the comments were gone. Well... not entirely removed, but you can now only type one character. This tells me two things:
1. If the MSS devs tried to remove commenting as a feature, this shows that they were either too lazy to go back and take it out completely in an update or that they’re trying to please users by leaving it as a “feature”.
2. If there were specific incidents that led to comments being removed, what happened? Was it someone throwing out one too many swears on the ChRiStiAn SkiN eDiTOr pLaTfoRm, or were too many people trolling? Did someone’s special feelings get hurt? If so, why not just ban and move on?

Congratulations, MSS team. You’ve removed a key feature that was the only way for people to communicate with each other efficiently. I really hope you’re happy.
Hopefully this is just temporary, but I don’t know how long this has been in place for.

MSS is just not what it used to be.
Zack the god,
Give us our community back you vampires
Give us the ability to comment back. Give us the dislike button back. Give us what we used to have back in the day, Chappers. You sinister, diabolical man. Bring MSS back to its prime. If you don’t, I guess you should say goodbye to your once popular and sought after built up app as I fan the flames while it burns to the ground. See, take away our way to create a community, you take away EVERYTHING. Nothing matters anymore. Give us our community back you evil, evil man. Put Chappers outta the way and have someone or SOMETHING that’ll bring this community back with a punch because I cannot STAND how CHAPPERS is doing things. Curse you and your absolutely stupid rules and regulations. I gotta give you a round of applause for banning me for a whole year off of the app as well. You KNEW it was joke but banned me anyways.
If you don’t improve MSS and bring it back to the way it was, this is gonna be the last you’ll ever hear my name ever again.
-Zork
small teddy!,
Its pretty good
Overall it good, kids (and adults) can share skin in the community for other people to wear! You can make your own costume skin! It not like the character craters in Minecraft, you have your own free will to do what you want! You cant really add big hat or small details and they give you a limited color pallet but you can make your own colors and add small hat, so overall good! But glitches make the best of you. there’s a comment section and every time i go to it, only lets you type 1 letter then it says your message is to short, so that’s kind annoying. I love it my friends love it so really good!
catsmeowformenotyou,
Account problem
I can't seem to sign into my account correctly. I just keep getting an error message. I've tried recovering my account and changing my password multiple times. I've even tried making a new account altogether, to no luck. I want to connect to my account through multiple devices, but I can't do that if I keep losing access to said account via error message. I really do enjoy this app, and I've been using it for years. So please try to fix my problem so I can continue enjoying this app in the future.
Stykkman35,
The community is gone.
I joined the app 4 years ago. Back in the old days, you could like comments, talk for hours, and hold contests. The devs of this app created a safe space for so many people. I’m in college now, and dang. I came back to the app after a year or so break and my heart broke.

Comments were gone, no more contests, & skin descriptions were absurdly limited to less than a sentence or two.

My friends that I have grew up with online could barely contact me. Skin uploads are super late too. When I joined, skins you uploaded showed up on the page in 5 min tops.

It takes on average about 2 hours now.
(And there are less people on the app now than in its highlight! There is no excuse other than to limit people from talking back and forth. They stopped comments & skin disc talking.)

Thanks chappers, but you butchered your safe place. Maybe this is temporary and maybe I’m taking this too seriously, but dang. My childhood was gone.

I’ve been featured, tagged, and I’ve even talked to the dev personally.

I still like making skins, so I’ll keep uploading.
Get it together. I liked the annoying pop-up era better than this one.
