Mandavila,
I Want To Love It
I seriously want to love it, the app has some awesome features and my MioPod is very cool. However, the app almost never works the way it’s supposed to. It’s frustrating and honestly for someone like me who likes to see the results, it’s discouraging me from completing my workouts because my data never syncs or the server is down. Always something. If you are considering this app/device I would try something different.

MioPOD - The Best HR Monitor & App For Performance & Value
I’ve had several Mio products in the past and always had good experiences. I loved my MioAlpha2 and Mio VELO and I was disappointed when they were no longer supported. Hey, nothing lasts forever. Then to my surprise appeared the MioPOD! Admittedly I didn’t hesitate, I just ordered one. I had no idea - I’ve been blown away! Far more comfortable and accurate than any chest or wrist monitor I’ve owned to date. Pairs quickly with every device I’ve tried it with. The colors prompts on the MioPOD keep you apprised of where you’re working in your HR zones. Even better it utilizes (5) FirstBeat performance analytics (and Vo2 is being added soon I hear - SCORE!) which are displayed in the App. If you’re not familiar research FirstBeat analytics because the MioApp blows all other apps away in the presentation of your training data. I’ve done the Garmin’s and Huawei Band 4 Pro and they don’t even come close - hear me - NOT EVEN CLOSE!! I’ve had zero issues with the monitor losing connectivity or HR readings. I’ve had no issues getting support feedback/answers from Mio. If you’re having issues with the App I respectfully suggest studying the FirstBeat features because the App gives you everything in a easy to follow format. Okay, there is one thing - I wish the face of the monitor (center where the Mio logo is) displayed your real time HR reading. Maybe with Gen2 Mio? :)
phaset2,
App no longer works, MIO-labs website gone
Don’t do the upgrade! This app was great until I updated it a couple weeks ago. I haven’t gotten it to work right since and it no longer saves my workouts. Tried to uninstall and reinstall and keep getting an error message when I try to login that my phone isn’t connected to a network—it is. Tried to go to the website and it no longer exists. I searched the internet and found a forum where others complained of the same. I think this company went out of business. Maybe it will still work for you if you don’t upgrade. 🤷‍♀️

MioPod - Unreliable device and buggy app
I’m not one to go out of my way to write reviews. It takes an extraordinary positive or negative experience for me to take the time to comment, in this case it’s obviously a maddening negative.

The HR capture device shuts off intermittently with no apparent rhyme or reason in the middle of 50%+ of my workouts. I have given this device several weeks worth of a try, so this review is NOT just a bad experience or two and a rush to judgement. The last straw for me was today when the app decided to get caught in a loop attempting to synchronize one of my interrupted workouts. Do yourself a favor and find a different option to measure your workout metrics.

Forget a Fitness Watch
One of the best products I have purchased in a long long time. Exact constant knowing of my heart rate and when to slow it down. As a heart attack survivor and still wanting to workout, the MIO is perfect. I have tried smart watches, but they were so unreliable. The MIO is exact and I know instantly when to back it down. Great product, no issues, excellent product.
Boo Prompts,
Don’t update!!!!
Had I not updated, I would have given it 5 stars.

After the update a month ago, the app stopped working. It crashed every single time I tried to launch it. Today, I decided to uninstall with the hope that reinstalling would help. Instead I’m logged out. The app says network access failed, please check internet connection on phone.

I have a mio pod device which doesn’t seem to be the legacy kind.
erdogdoc,
Lack of support. Can’t even get an email back.
I can’t even get the support group to email me back. I have a Velo I purchased just last fall and the GO app is no longer supported so I can’t change HR zones. This is their new app but it won’t support anything but the POD. It would have been nice if they had left the MIO GO app active. Time to switch heart rate monitors but I won’t be getting another Mio Labs monitor.
Ramiro Zuniga,
Frustrating
I really like the functionality of this App but looks like it from time to time it didn’t work for many days . I delete and install again, the menu only show USA and China as country options y I can’t log in because the app can’t reach the server .
poseur cyclist,
Miopod
Excellent product, had several chest stap monitors in the past and they were very intermittent in working and collecting day. Not one issue with the miopod. I use it paired to my Garmin 1030, pairs supper fast and have had no issues. App is great as well.
BPardington,
Trash
Doesn’t pair with its own MIO-pod monitor. I wrote and email to their customer support and it was returned undeliverable. They will take your money and give you trash in return- a piece of plastic that blinks and buzzes. A class action law suit is the way to go here. I am going to organize one on FB: MIO class action law suit group. You’ve been warned.
