There is a new Calendar tab under both the practice level and client level Tasks & Billing tab. You can now add appointments to a Mobile Lactation Consultant internal calendar or you can continue to add appointments to your external Google calendar or any other calendar. Appointments added to the Mobile Lactation Consultant calendar will have appointment reminders sent. You can also have text message appointment reminders sent if you enable the SMS notifications in the Settings->Account tab billing section. Charges apply for that feature.
Now you can have phone calls made to your SMS number forwarded to your phone. Go to the Settings->Account tab billing section to enable this feature by entering the phone number you want calls to be forwarded to. Calls will cost 2 cents a minute.

I still have a concern about when you save the information and then click “done”, that if you add one more item, and click save, then “delete” is where “done” was previously. I had to re-enter all of my information, because I accidentally clicked on the “delete”.
I would like you to add “Greenish Yellow” to the stool color choices.
I would like you to not require completing “months breastfeeding” to save the names of the other children. It will not let you go the next child’s name without completing the “months breastfeeding”.
I would like “none” to be able to stay on the mother’s health history, if she has any health conditions. Right now, if you select “none”, then it goes away.
I would like you to add the “First time baby received formula” and the “Last time the baby received formula”.

Just adds to the frustration
My lactation consultant had me download this app. I hate it for several reasons:1. The forced use of landscape mode and no scrolling functionality on the login page and throughout the rest of the app makes it really difficult to use on my iphone5s—might not be a problem with bigger models, but should be an obvious fix that was not addressed when I updated the app. 2. When you’re learning the app, it has several pop-ups asking you to review the app which then details any progress you made in the meanwhile.3. It’s not clear in the chat function if/when you will be notified when the consultant replies, so I’ve been checking back in, but that leads to the next glitch...5. When I try logging on, it will just close the app with no explaination. This was not fixed by updating the app. This app has taken the incredibly frustrating experience of breastfeeding and made it even worse (although I didn’t know that was possible...)

I began using MLC when there was not much available for EHRs for IBCLCs. From day one the app has been buggy. There is no manual, no specific training video for a new user, poorly managed official Facebook support group, slow (if any) response to customer concerns, unprofessional responses when you do get them, and a quick dismissive manner in which any and all issues are “user problems”. Well, without proper support on how to manage the app, I would suppose that folks are just trying to do their best.
I can attest to difficulty with the app syncing which is not an issue of “poor internet connection”.
I thankful that there are now many more options for EHRs for IBCLCs. Save time, money and frustration and use another option. Oh and for the record, I am not a fake account or out to prove a point. Michael Daly personally requested that users post reviews and I am happy to do as such.

Great for small practices
Our small business has been using this app for the past six years. It is a wonderful option for small practices needing electronic health records. I have been a nurse for 20 years and have used at least 10 other electronic health record systems, good luck finding one that is perfect. As with any software, you need to know what you are doing, there are lots of ways to make mistakes in electronic world, please take the time to learn how to use this software before charting real patients. Once you learn how to navigate it you will love it.

Worst app ever!
Logging in as a client is confusing. Once you finally get logged in there is paperwork to fill out to save time when you get to your appointment. Unfortunately nothing in the app works. I tried from my phone, iPad and computer none of them worked! There are documents to sign but it is virtually impossible to do! Looks like I'm going to my appointment without the required information filled out! Don't bother wasting your time! I lost hours and still didn't complete it.
Interesting the company finally responded after two years!!! Stating it was my fault for having an old phone and slow internet... really! Interesting you kept documentation that long. This is speculation at best. I highly doubt anyone bothered to really look into it.

Terrible UI, no support
I don’t even know where to start. I’m a UI design professional and this program is astonishingly bad. Ignoring the 90s-era aesthetics (or lack thereof), it’s a confusing mess. Trying to do any task is an exercise in digging through random tabs, menus, icons, and settings. It’s also buggy—although the developer claims to store all data on his servers, there are multiple accounts of lost data—and even random people’s charts showing up in others’ practices!—on various Facebook groups. The developer is not helpful in tracking down the bugs; looking on the official support group you can see lots of unanswered support requests. Not only is it not worth paying $19/month for, but you might lose your data. Skip MLC and pick another solution.

Very Much Enjoying MLC
I am learning more and more all the time about this program. It has a ton of features but still basic enough to be user friendly. I really like how mobile it is, and I can answer my clients questions at a moments notice. I will eventually sign up to use the electronic billing feature. The admins are great about answering questions. The little glitches that happen (as does with every app) is easily managed. Thank You MLC for a great, uncomplicated and truly mobile program!

Great for our Practice
We have been using this EHR for 5 years and it has come so far I can’t keep up with all the great new features. Most recently the providers in our practice (I’m the office manager) have been enjoying the new text template feature that generates visit notes based on rollable fields. We also use the Message Templates feature to automatically send educational resources to clients at specific time prenatally and postpartum.

Great tool for your Private Practice
MLC has definitely changed how we are documenting now. It saves time and covers the bases for proper and consistent documentation. My only “wish” is that the clients had an easier time accessing the program. Regularly there are clients who have a really difficult time accessing the platform so we have to start the visit with creating a file which is time consuming and not the best way to start a consult.

User friendly, easy to get started
I have been using MLC for over 4 years. It is user friendly, was very easy to get started and become comfortable with. The developer is super helpful when you have a suggestion or a request. It can be modified pretty much to your individual preferences. I create my own handouts and templates, and easily uploaded them into my charts. I completely recommend MLC for your electronic health record charting.
