Monument Photo Management Hack 3.2.2 + Redeem Codes

After more than a year of watching and waiting I finally ordered a monument 2 and received it yesterday. So far the app and device have performed very well and I’m really pleased! I did run into one issue with several files failing to upload and the app retrying endlessly. I fixed the problem by connecting my phone to the computer and discovered the problematic files were corrupted. Deleting them manually seems to have fixed the issues.

I love how I don’t have to wait for the photos to load! Easy to upload photos from iPhone. The best part is that it’s the only app I know of that CAN HANDLE LIVE PHOTOS! 💃 I’ve been using this since March 2019 and the app doesn’t crash anymore. Tagging and facial recognition is so handy. Also, being able to zoom out by month makes it faster to find photos.

Supports RAW is a big plus. Being able to download the photos easy (original or compressed) is a big plus too.

Uploading the old photos is the harder part (but it’s like that in other photo storage system anyway IMO). Easiest way for me to upload was to patiently do it by batch using a memory card. You can also do it from a hard drive but it won’t copy or reorganize the photos in a separate folder.

Don’t expect lightning speed when moving thousands of photos because that takes time even from external hard drive to external hard drive.

Yes, it’s a start up and it’s still not perfect (but even Photos app from Apple isn’t perfect). They’ve been continuously improving their apps/ software and they listen to their customers 🌟

I have been a long-time user of the Monument Hub (the first one) and have faithfully carried round my hub and to small HDs with backup and backup copies on them. It was with delight that I discovered the Monument Cloud service, allowing me to backup my photos and videos without having to carry round the hardware! The service quickly uploaded all my photos and videos, except 1% remaining of them. However, the attentive staff promptly worked with me and helped me overcome the issue and now the service rapidly uploads all new photos and videos to the service. I cannot recommend this service and their staff enough! A+++

It does Not have automatic backup. Lies. Very misleading.
The hardware works fine and it doesn’t what it says. It would be great 5 star if it didn’t pause and stope uploading everytime a message came in, or the screen turns off. That’s right it works great , but slow uploading, but works as long as the app is Open and stays open without any interruptions. There is about a 30 second re connect time everytime a message notification pops up or a call comes in or the screen turns off from timeout if being open. Which means I’m constantly having to tough my screen every minute to keep it alive. If this app worked in background or even when screen was off it would be great

My wife and I have been using the monument for more than a year and it keeps getting better and better! Our entire photo collection is available everywhere we go, and now live photos work as well. We got my parents one of these for Christmas this year because my mom is always getting after my dad to get his phones photos uploaded and in a place that she can see them. We set it up at Thanksgiving and now she has access to their entire photo collection, it's up to date, and it's really user friendly!

I don’t know how the app has gotten so many high star ratings. I have been trying for weeks to finish the initial setup. It’s taken literal hours upon hours to get my photos (~24k) 93% of the way backed up. This is because the app disconnects from the device approximately every thirty seconds and uploading pauses until it decides to reconnect. Now it won’t go past the 93% and won’t connect at all (the app to the device). I’ve been trying for days. My phone OS is up to date and so is the app. I’m really annoyed that I spent actual money on this boat anchor.

Keep up with the improvements. I’m using 2 of these devices for myself and my relatives (close family). The ease of use on windows, iPad, iPhone and among family of all ages is excellent. Finally a solution for managing years of digital photos.

What a waste of money! The app is so feature-less as to be unbearable to use. I can’t believe that this makes me want to avoid my DSLR photos even more than when they were on Synology. The app is so slow. It is impossible to manage albums. The only views are “daily” and “monthly”. The people scanning is beta quality if it works at all. Location tagging doesn’t work with addresses or latlong - you can only tag with place names. I could go on - but yeah I’m taking the SSD out and putting at least I can put that to better use. This monument 2 device is going to the trash.

As with any new technology there are occasional glitches, but it works really well most of the time. The best part is that their customer service is prompt and thorough. On the whole I strongly recommend this as a great way to back up your photos and keep them all in one place.

Monument finally arrived, super stoked to try it out. Plugged it in and the automatic firmware update failed, the app points me to a manual update page that is “Not Found”. Went straight to the website to manually download and transfer the update, but it too points to a page that is “Not Found”. The only way to communicate with this device is through this app and all this app says now is that the automatic firmware update failed. Nothing else. Not impressed so far.
