Dasudajon,
Great for training!
I really enjoy the option of choosing between notes and the piano keys. I find so much benefit from spending 10 minutes of my hour piano lesson practicing with this app!

5/5 for sure!

p.s. To the developers, I would love to see an adjustable sizing option for the piano keys on the iPad. I enjoy being able to practice clicking the piano with the fingers as I would in the key of C for practicing!
Dissimilar,
I love the app, just one fatal flaw…
I really do love this app. I’ve been super lazy about reading, because it’s hard to learn how to walk when you already know how to run. This app makes it a little more fun…

For me there is just one big issue. I really, really wish that reading off the grand staff was an option. This app is awesome for learning how to read the individual Clefs, but many of us need to be able to read from the grand staff, and it would be a whole lot easier to just do it all at once instead of compartmentalizing. It could be just the way my brain works, but it would be super helpful to have that option.

One more note: I would love to be able to practice reading time in the app as well. I know it would be a lot of work to implement. It would be like writing another app, but I would really love that option as well.
stevenlynnhall,
Best Note learning App PERIOD!
Any time I have a minute free I go to this app. It has helped me more than anything else with my sight reading in both clefs. The scoring feature makes it like a game and I’m always striving to get a better score based on time and accuracy. It doesn’t feel like studying but you are in the best way!!!
I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone struggling to sight read!
Musicman2911,
Nice layout, but doesn’t show me wrong answers
I like the layout of this app. It’s very simple, easy to adjust the settings, and has all of the options I need. The one thing I would change about this app is that it doesn’t show the correct answer when I get one wrong. If I put that a not is C# when it was actually D#, it just moves on to the next one instead of telling me that it was D#. It doesn’t do me much good if I don’t know the right answer.
ZKJarrah,
Really great!
I’ve been playing guitar for 15 years never having learned to read music. Recently I decided I wanted to be better so I started taking lessons and my instructor recommended Music Tutor and it has really helped. Plus it’s really fun to watch my average response time tick down as my score goes up over time.

Love working and learning notes
Really love hanging out and I have so much fun leaning the notes. I have little challenges with fam trying to see who knows the most and it is just great. Really is great FR the brain and I love it.
Download it Now and u will have an AMAZING TIME playing it!
Pastoronthemove199,
Awesome app
I appreciate the simplicity of helping students learn notes while making it fun, like a game. The one thing I would love to have is a keyboard that has more octaves. That would really take it to the next level. I use my iPad with it, and it would be great if you could also have it turn into landscape mode with a keyboard with several octaves.

Almost Perfect
I'm glad this app has a better icon that i can stand to look at.

Though, there needs to be landscape orientation support for the notes reference. So the references can be viewed in landscape. It's hard to view it smushed in a protrait view.

Other then that this app has improve much over the years. I use Note Trainer as well but is nice to have a simple and quick app like this handy.
TunerTeacher,
Enjoying the app
I haven’t used this app a ton yet but it is definitely helping hone my listening skills. However, it sounds like an out of tune piano! 😬 Boo! It’s not quite bad enough that it affects correctly identifying the intervals but it would be great if the developers would up their game and give us in tune intervals to identify.
NewAux,
Good, but there are better apps out there
I used this app to train myself to quickly recognize notes on the staff. It was useful but it has its limitation, like not being able to train yourself to look ahead. After searching around, I now prefer Note Trainer and don’t use this app anymore
