BCraver,
Fairly user friendly. Some glitches
As a client, I like the apps user friendly features. Although it does take a slight learning curve. For example, it almost never shows “todays workout.” I either have to pull down to refresh or go to calendar. This took me a while to understand. In the beginning, I clicked “workouts” and did a workout thinking I was doing what was scheduled which unfortunately didn’t show my coach that I did that’s day workout. I also am bummed I cannot complete a workout for a different day and it show that was what I did for the day. Otherwise, these are minor things that could be tweaked. Generally I like the app!
Tre tothenine,
Not the best but will do for now
When you are working out and recording each exercise that you do, make sure you don't hit the back button or that your phone doesn't shut down from that screen, you lose everything that you were recording during your work out. The other problem is if you miss one of the days, it's not like you can make up that day on the following day, you completely skip that days workout. That means if you had chest day on Wednesday, but had an emergency and couldn't show up to the gym on Wednesday, there is no way to regain that work out. You have to wait till next week, Lord forbid you miss that work out again. That would be two weeks straight without working out your chest.

So as long as you can utilize this consistently every day without missing a workout, and be sure not to leave that page while your recording what you are doing, then all is well. I would prefer to find an app that corrected these two issues.

Eat Well, Get Fit
PT Lee is a game changer for fitness, wellness and your relationship with food. It’s not just a couple workout plans and a bogus “diet”. He educates you on the how and why your body changes in relation to what goes in and what you’re putting into your workouts. There are no cheat foods, there are no “points”, and there are no coincidentally adjacent charges for things like mediocre pre-made TV dinners. It’s just real feedback to educate you on what works (and the science of why). There are no gimmicks... no tricks... no easy answers to fitness, but working with PT Lee makes long term goals achievable and even fun. The community he has built of fellow judgement-free, normal people, just trying to live their best lives is very encouraging and being a part of something helps keep me accountable. 10/10 would recommend PT Lee and this app.
just frustrated for now,
The app looks great….but…
I like the appearance of the app and the functions are easy to find. My problem is a couple of different issues.
One, it only pops the workout on my Apple Watch so I don’t need a phone. That’s it. Doesn’t start the fitness tracker to keep track of my stats or anything. To do that I have to start that myself, not biggie but sometimes I forget and boom I am halfway through my workout with nothing tracked. Other apps will automatically start that.
Second issue, if I check chat from my trainer it stops the timer and acts like I quit the workout and have to go back to the hub and restart it.
Third, granted this app tracks your food intake for you and even has the spot where the trainer puts your goals. It never tracks your meals on that screen even though it looks like it should. So in the mean time I have to switch between different screens and compare my goals with my actual intake.
My last one for today is, I have submitted issues through the app with the concerns of my issue. No response.
Now for some positive stuff. I do really like the ease of communication between myself and the Coach. The app makes it easy if I am not in a workout.
It also looks very very clean and I do like that.

They have some stuff that needs improvement but I have seen some upgrades lately that show they are working on improvements.

Lots of Bugs / Glitches
This is a UK based company. The app had lots of potential but presently there are many bugs and glitches. Time stamp is in 24 hours, calendar date is in UK format, client end dates are marked as invalid so compliance doesn’t register. Clients workout programs are not tracked because of this. Creating programs is very time consuming. Sorting exercises and finding exercises takes a tremendous amount of time. They don’t have a cardio search for simple basic exercises you need to know the names. For example if you search for jumping Jacks it will not show because they call them star jumps. If you add a notes to an exercise the note doesn’t save in history. Hopefully they will improve the functionality and glitches that I’ve listed. Plus improve adding sessions to the calendar and improving recurring payments for clients and allow clients to schedule sessions. I’m going to jump ship and try out Trainerize. This app has too many issues. ** Buyer Beware **
generaljerryfit,
Clunky
It’s gotta lot of bells and whistles but the UX is not fun when you have to constantly retype things. Things on the workout disappear until you go to another category then they reappear. Everyone calls it a push-up btw not a “press up.” I want so bad for this app to be better and it’s made some improvements over b the past 6 months or so, so that’s very promising, but in my opinion there isn’t much that compares to this, but it’s still about $15 overpriced per month until they fix the enormous amount of glitches. Update 9/28... the fact that you can’t select multiple exercises when creating a workout is a pain. They’re there. You can select them. They just don’t get transferred to the current workout screen. Kinda tedious if you want to have any kind of creativity with your program.
Plano Chik-fil-a Mom,
UI is simply awful
Where do I start? It feels like this is a beta version which still has to get updated to the current type of user interface that you see on many apps. What would be a nice touch is an icon or picture of the food item once it’s selected. This is a small, but basic thing on many of the food tracking apps out there today.
1. The app doesn’t automatically save so if you’re not careful you’ll have to start over after you’ve entered in your info. Happened to me twice.
2. The units of measure is restrictive. For example, once you have found your food item there is a drop-down list for measurement and typically there is only one choice. Therefore you have to adjust your serving amount to get the correct caloric count. The serving size for special K cereal, per the box, is 1 1/3 cups. I had only had 1 cup. Since I could not adjust the serving size to 1 cup, I had to guess the serving amount and reduced the serving amount from 1 to .80 to get the adjusted calorie count.
3. It’s great that there is barcode scanning capability, but he doesn’t find a lot of items. It couldn’t find the fresh blueberries or the peaches, both which I found on the Lose It app.

I’m using this because my trainer uses it and asked me to track it this way so they can easily have the visibility to my food. I’m going to give this a week before I decide if I can continue with it or not.
pwdoodle99,
This app is garbage
I hate using this app and actively dread anytime I have to. The wonderful coach I work with uses My PT Hub to schedule and organize workouts and programs, as well as to pay her for working with her. If there was any other way to do it, I would. The times zones are never correct. It automatically changed my birthday for some reason. The calendar never displays properly on my phone. Currently I’m trying to buy a pass for my next class and there’s no way to let me do it. The option is just not there, though it used to be. Instead of just telling me I don’t have a pass, why not put the option to buy a pass right there on the screen instead of sending my on a fruitless hunt through this wonky app? Again, I use this because it’s what my trainer uses. But if I had a choice, I’d delete it from my phone and never think of it again.
Juicingenthusiast,
Ok. big room for improvement
The feature set on the app is good. I can do what I want for the most part.

For an app I use almost every day the UX is AWFUL. I bet the coders don't use this app for their workouts. It doesn't behave the way I expect when I want to start a workout or use the calendar. I feel like it is hiding information unnecessarily a lot of the time or making me work to choose the options I want. It's not clear how a workout program relates to specific workouts either. I can't seem to filter that information and old workouts clutter the view.

In a workout it will randomly drop out of the workout sometimes dumping all my progress. This is extremely frustrating.

It's cool that a lot of videos are available demonstrating exercises. However almost all those videos have terrible loud music that adds nothing and forces me to stop my workout music. Its so jarring I dread having to watch these videos. This app should NEVER stop my workout music. At the most just blend it like Instagram would . Preferably if there is no need for audio, just leave it silent!

Summary: basic functionality is there but it misses a lot of polish. These small bumps add up quickly when you use the app a lot. Please hire a UX designer.
Al'i,
Eat well, learn to stay fit
My PT Demi has taught me about macros and calories this app helps to log food and shows you what foods are better than others. Workouts have great videos “how to” show you especially if you have never done them before. I am using this with another app to help me get back to healthy and teaching me to live better and get back to healthy and fit without fad diets, points, restrictive diets and plans that work with food allergies or other foods unable to eat. Pretty easy to use but some food are not in but easy to add. Easy to navigate once you learn where everything is on the app.
