Bungalow Barb,
Great for Shift Workers!
After getting my Apple Watch I immediately tried their Sleep monitoring and found it to be useless. It seems to expect that I have set sleep and wake up times. My work hours change all the time. If I am on graveyard shift I sleep during the day but there are frequent interruptions. I tried a few other apps but none picked up on getting up for a bit then resuming sleep. Napbot can do this!!! There has been a few times where it failed to catch an interruption but for the most part it figures it out without requiring input from me. If my sleep has been lacking I might lat down to watch tv and will doze off. Napbot figures that out and shows the nap even if its only 10 or 15 minutes. I have had to train myself to put my watch on the charger as I start my daily wind down and put it back on my wrist before laying down. It needs a full charge for those times when I get some solid sleep. I would like a capability to save and forward the sleep results for a specific period or even just a specific week. Cheers!

Only helpful if you only sit still when sleeping
I don’t always have the most consistent sleep schedule, so I like being able to track my sleep so I know how much sleep I actually get. When I was using a Fitbit, I never had any issues, very rarely would it say I was sleeping if I wasn’t, the most common errors I would get were fitness tracking related.
When I got my Apple Watch I immediately realized the sleep tracking that came standard was absolute garbage and started looking for a third party app that would work, this one had great reviews so I gave it a shot. I actually really need to track my sleep right now because I have been having insomnia issues for a few days and I have no idea how much, if any, sleep I’m actually getting. According to this app, I’m getting more than enough sleep, because it decides I’m sleeping every time I sit still or lay down, even if I’m on my phone… last night I woke up at 12:45ish (I didn’t immediately look at my watch) and tossed and turned and stared at the ceiling for hours (until at least 2:15, the last time I remember looking at my watch) but even though I actually tapped my watch multiple times, it tells me I slept solid through the night… so I guess I’m getting rid of this app, I’m just glad I decided to try it for a while before upgrading to the pro version…
Scttzz,
App works good for me but for a five star upgrade...
I’d be more than glad to upgrade this to five star and keep my subscription going if there’s a way to be able to end the sleep manually. Why? When I actually woke up and got out of bed was about 45 minutes sooner then when app said I woke up. I go to rest room and read sitting down for a good 30-40 minutes so I think it was counting that time period as if I was still sleeping. it counted that time as awake. But at 5:09 or so when I actually woke up it showed no awake time. It would be nice if I could select “end sleep” if indeed that would work I don’t mind doing that and I will be a happy camper so to speak.

No Sleep Apnea Tab
EDIT: After a couple days the apnea tab did finally show up. Unfortunately that’s where the good news stops. This thing is all over the board in regards to accuracy and is very limiting on the data it gives you and the options for calibration. I have tried the suggested Sleep Focus Mode with little difference in results. Skip it and choose one of the other well rated sleep trackers. The one I mentioned below is my personal favorite and is vastly more expansive in customization and WAY more accurate.

I purchased a new Apple Watch and downloaded and signed up for the “pro” version of this app to track potential sleep apnea as I suspect I may have issue with apnea. Despite touting it in the app store and showing images of a apnea tab on marketing, there’s no option for this in the app. I normally use AutoSleep which is far more detailed and doesn’t require a subscription but currently doesn’t have apnea tracking. There’s zero reason to use this app over AutoSleep if it can’t in fact do the one thing it touts being able to do over the competition. Very disappointing after making an expensive hardware purchase based on this seemingly absent “feature”

Poor Development...
If you want to try the app out do not pay for premium as it riddled with bugs that for me using a iPhone 11 and Series 5 basically turned the app into nothing but one screen that stayed frozen eternally set on the first screen. Maybe with a massive amount of bug fixes and the most basic of tools in place it could be justified as premium but for now given the amount of bugs and features that are not accessible I do not believe that the app is more than a free version. For the developer to say the app “learns over time” is a big stretch for me to imagine, as he confirmed you can not edit the inaccuracies, so what is it actually learning from? Most apps use motion and heart rate however what exactly is bases for this app as neither of those seem to apply. It has tracked me as asleep when eating dinner and moving around at any given time of day etc. and I have checked all the permissions more than once and done power cycles on both devices as well not force closed the app based the on developer replies and the end results of the most off the wall sleep results of the 8 tracking apps I have tried.

Sleep Analysis Rarely Matches My Perception of Sleep
I purchased the premium version of NapBot and really like the simplicity it provides. I just strap on my fully charged watch before bed and it seems to figure out my start & end sleep times very accurately. On rising, I feel like I’ve gotten a good night’s sleep most of the time but according to NapBot it shows I was awake 30-50% of the time and only reached deep sleep under 10% of the time. My goal is 8 hours of sleep, but most of the time time it says I only slept 4-5 hours. I do get up 1-2 times per night to use the bathroom but I’m only up 2-3 minutes at most & almost always fall back to sleep within 5 minutes. I just don’t understand why the app says I’m awake so much of the time. I understand that deep sleep is normally only 10-15% but I feel like I’ve been in light sleep most of the rest of the night. Seeing all those bright yellow bars just doesn’t match how I perceive my sleep quality.
bhoagland,
Inaccurate and Buggy
I’m skeptical that this app uses ML at all. Nearly every single day, it thinks I’ve slept a full hour after I actually get out of bed. I get out of bed at 6am every weekday and start my morning routine. Every weekday, the app thinks I am in bed until around 7am. This would be a little less frustrating to deal with if it wasn’t with the persistent issues with editing the sleep times. Every version seems to claim improved editing but in every version so far, I will edit the time and tap save and the time does not update. I end up having to edit it several times for it to stick. The latest update also claims editing improvements. I’m not sure I would call it an improvement but something did change with editing. Today, like all other days, the app says I slept an hour longer than I did. When I went to edit the time, the app crashed.

I cannot recommend this app and certainly cannot justify the Pro subscription in its current state.
Gabe McGuire,
Not very effective
It doesn’t do a good job of tracking when I wake up in the middle of the night or how long it takes me to fall asleep. When I put my phone into the sleep focus and put it down for the night, it thinks that is when I fell asleep even though it takes me a few minutes to fall asleep after that. It’s inaccurately telling me I am getting more sleep than I really do.

To the developer who wrote the absolutely useless response: I KNOW IT DOES NOT USE MY iPHONE TO TRACK MY SLEEP. I’m not as dense as you obviously are. The problem is that it always thinks the time I fell asleep is when I put my phone into sleep focus. It doesn’t factor in the ~15 minutes it takes me to fall asleep. It is thinking I’m sleeping longer than I really am. I don’t care how it does it, I just need it to give me an accurate time for when I fell asleep, which it doesn’t.
HindsN,
It's a love hate relationship
I'll start with the love. I love that this app isn't draining my battery and how simple it is to use. However, the data given isn't accurate. I am using the pro version, my husband is using free.

We go to bed at the same time every night. It takes me a long time to fall asleep and stay asleep. While my husband is snoring as soon as his head hits the pillow. My data will show that I was in light sleep immediately, 1-2 hours BEFORE we went to bed. It also indicates that I was in light or deep sleep all night. Nope! While my husbands data shows he was awake for hours and literally got 0% deep sleep every night only getting light sleep, again starting 1-2 before we even went to bed.

Seeing how this is happening every night, I don't think it's fluke. I have to edit the timeframe every morning. I wish I could have more faith in the actual data as well.
Aaronjjj28,
After a year
Ive subscribed and used this app for over a year now and I’ve finally decided to delete it and use a different sleep tracking app. It constantly has bugs and only worked perfectly as intended for a few months out of the year. Many times it would only show the data from the night before and wouldn’t show any previous nights. And most recently it stopped working completely. Even after updating to iOS 15 it hadn’t tracked my sleep for two nights. I decided to download a different sleep app and it has worked very well so I unsubscribed here and went with the other app. I did enjoy this app when it worked and it did help me to understand my sleep better but I’m not willing to pay for it with its constant bugs.
