New sleep deprived mom here. I’ve been trying to see how much sleep I’m getting with it all broken up.

Such a minimal to the point app which is why I feel it will be so effective for me. Not a lot of information I don’t need to truly sleep better,and distract myself from the core of it.

I like the attention to detail. The colors of light, deep and disruptive in the graph are the same to identify the score of the items below with circles next to them. It helps to easily remember them.

I’d like naps to be included in the grand picture of sleep not a separate tab. Perhaps underneath night sleep. So you can look at both together and with ease.

I like the smart alarm and it truly woke me during my light stage. When I stop the wake up alarm however it stops collecting sleep data, for some this might not be a problem but I am the type to fall back asleep most mornings for another hour or two, and the watch completely misses these period of time giving me inaccurate results.

I’d also like their to be the option of am/pm not only military time.

Other then that it looks like the sleep tracker i’ll be sticking with. 👌

When I downloaded this app, I was under the impression that it would wake me up during lightest sleep, and I believe it advertised this as well. This was the biggest draw for me as I feel like I frequently wake up in the middle of deep sleep, which leads to me feeling very groggy. Now that I’m looking back through the app store page, it doesn’t appear to advertise “waking you up during lightest sleep” anymore - I’m assuming that’s because *it doesn’t actually do this.* I’ve been trying to use it for a few weeks now, and the alarm literally just goes off when I tell it to. No correlation with my actual deep sleep/light sleep. I’m pretty disappointed because I struggle a lot with this issue and was hoping this app would truly help me wake up at the end of my sleep cycle. It’s also never accurate despite me providing feedback, my time to sleep is ALWAYS 15 minutes and starts right when I open the app- it usually takes me way longer. I’m disappointed because I shelled out a considerable amount of money for this app, and it’s not doing much for me. Would love to hear back from the developers regarding why “wakes you during lightest sleep” is no longer a factor.

I do like the layout, and seeing the info clearly is nice. I find this doesn’t do a great job of detecting light sleep and periods when I am awake. This leads to extended time documented falling sleep, and it doesn’t always count my actual am wake time if I wake up, turn off the alarm and go back to sleep within a few minutes.

Used the free trial and will try other apps before possibly circling back. Would have paid for and given it a month or two if that were an option, but it’s not and I strongly dislike that the only option is 1 year purchase. That’s what sent me packing vs seeing if it evened out/improved over time honestly. If I find another app I like better, I won’t be back. I understand their 1 year policy brings in more $ for them initially, but it pushes out ppl like me on the fence after the 1 week trial who would have paid for a few months to give the app a fair shot. Shame, now I have to research other apps again :/ 2 stars is mostly for their year-only approach. I’d give the app itself somewhere around 3.5

Most accurate of the five I've tried
I've used FitBit and Garmin and those have good built-in sleep trackers. I was disappointed after getting my Apple Watch that it doesn't have a built-in tracker, I reckon so they can make more money on app sales. Anyway, I tracked five different sleep tracking apps assiduously for three months and I can confidently say REM is in the top two (the other you could call SW).

I give REM the top score for accuracy, the other app the top score for additional factor tracking such as HRV, blood O2, and respiration rate. REM is my top pick if you want a simple and accurate sleep tracker. It would be hard to beat and worth a sub if they added a couple more factors that the watch can track and provide to the app.

I didn’t originally love this app.
Unsolicited review. I bought this after reading several reviews about it. Wasnt crazy about paying for a sleep app when there were free one’s available (including apple’s health app). Most of the apps I used prior to this either were really not accurate or provided a million details I didn’t care about. When I downloaded this for a trial, it didn’t seem to track my sleep accurately. I provided feedback to the developer and it has become very good. It provides exactly the level of detail I want, and is very accurate now. Definitely worth the few bucks a month in my book if you want to track your sleep patterns. Ive always struggled with sleep regularity so I love it now.

Good sleep app
The app itself works great, easy to understand and is pretty accurate from what I can tell. I do wish however, that the alarm on my Apple Watch was better. I am not hard to wake up but all it did was vibrate once or twice with a longer than preferred gap in between and only started to make sound once I lifted my wrist to see it (I was half awake when it went off so I remember it). The only other issue I have, it isn’t a big one, it that when my sleep gets so bad in the night it logs it as part sleep part nap. This definitely isn’t a deal breaker and I will still continue to use this sleep tracker!

Lack of any customer support when problems occur
1. Frustrated with sending REM Feedback reporting problems including sleep not getting recording and recurrent inaccuracy when information recorded and never getting follow-up contact from REM. Doubt that anyone reads my messages-why is there no customer support?
2. Fitbit app is more user friendly and has more comprehensive information and additionally tracks average hours of sleep per week ( in addition to hours per night) which can be tracked back until when one started using app. It has helpful bar graphs which visually illustrate trends of sleep scores, hours slept, hours in various sleep stages, & sleep schedule for past week which REM app does not provide. Fitbit also captures nap times and adds them into sleep time which REM app does not do.

Simply the best!!!!
After going through 3 expensive smart watches I settled on the Apple Watch which still provided crap sleep data. I was ready to go back to the ugly Fitbit which is gold standard for sleep measurement. Before doing so I stumbled on Rem and reluctantly set up the trial. This app is OUTSTANDING! Reliable. Easy to set up. Gives you the stats you need in an easy to digest layout. Best of all it measures naps too! For someone like me who’s sleep cycle is messed up by life, I need to know exactly how much I sleep so I can adjust my schedule to catch up when I can. This thing is worth every penny and I tried every other app first!!!!

Most accurate sleep tracker I've found
I've tested several sleep trackers now and this one has been the most accurate. I love that I don’t have to explicitly tell it every night that I’m going to bed, it figures it out, and it doesn’t record false positives during the day.

It also does a good job of accurately reporting data to the Health app. A few of the previous trackers I used really messed up my sleep data.

My only gripe is I wish there was a way to schedule daily smart alarms. Currently, I have to go in and set the alarm every night, which kind of ruins the whole “automatic” aspect of this.

Happy with REM premium
I was looking for a clean, simple sleep tracking app that would not require extra effort from me before going to bed. I tried a few competitors prior to REM that made me open their app before bed, enable microphones, or only use their app’s internal alarm… those weren’t practical for my lifestyle.

With REM, I just fall asleep! In the morning I get a notification with my sleep report. I love looking at the detailed data for interruptions during the night, total sleep, time to fall asleep. If you want a sleep app the accurately, reliably, and simply does the job, REM is it.
