lanternyard,
clean and easy
this is perfect for designing meals and researching foods to hit nutritional targets, rather than just logging what you eat after the fact. I wonder about the completeness of the database behind it, but that said I can usually find what I’m looking for or a close match. Simple and easy to use, no social media garbage, forums, blogs, “communities,” etc. cluttering things up. An app that simply does what you ask it to do - look up nutritional data on food items. good job.
MJ Czelen,
Great app, but I wish…
This app is very helpful to me, a Type1/insulin-dependent diabetic who doses insulin based on the carbohydrate content of what I’m about to eat. With that in mind, it is imperative that I can readily measure or at least estimate the amount of carbs in my food. So when I use this app, I'm disappointed when I find a listing that gives the carbs per Serving but doesn’t give me a Volume of the serving, or at least the weight. Weight is harder to estimate, but Volume is easier, as in 1 cup, or 8 ounces, and so forth. It appears that nutrition info found on commercial products don’t always take such needs into consideration so I’d Love it if your app could add that info to help diabetic users like me. Overall, Thanks for your app, I use it frequently.

Fantastic App!
This app saves me so much time looking up nutritional information. I enter a food item and immediately I am presented with options ranging from generic to brand names. I am not interested in “tracking” my foods, I just need to know nutritional info, and this is the perfect app for that! I have yet to enter a food that was not included in their source. Love it!
mjjronquil,
Inaccurate information
The concept for this app is great, but unfortunately the nutritional information for many of the items is incorrect. Just simply look up generic oranges and you’ll find out that the calorie breakdown adds up to more than 100% (2% fat, 100% carbs and 8% protein). Other examples: pinto beans are somehow 43% fat, walnuts are 90% fat, 8% carbs and 9% protein (which again adds to more than 100%). Those are just some random things I looked up in the last 5 minutes. The inaccuracies and the variation between items in a search is so wild as to make all the results unreliable (how do I know which ones are right and which ones are wrong?). I hope they can fix this.

Great app, but wrong info
The app itself has a great setup, however some of the information is incorrect. I looked up an egg in the app and it said it had about 2 grams of trans fat. This seemed incorrect from my understanding of trans (rather than cis) unsaturated fatty acid hydrocarbon tails not occurring naturally in eggs. So I looked it up on google and yeah, eggs do not have trans fat (at all). I’d love to use this app, but I need the information to be correct. Thanks though, and there is great potential for this app. Let me know if you guys update the database of information, as I would love to use this app rather than google search every food item I’m curious about
Joanne O.,
Love this app!!
Being a patient of both heart failure and diabetes I have to read labels religiously. This app makes it easy and great for eating out. Just type in the food and up pops sodium carbs sugar everything that is on the sides of all our packages. Can’t wait to show this app to the nurses on my next visit to see if this app can help other people like me.
Dstefonek,
One of the greatest Food counts Sources
I’ve been using this APP for quite some time now. It’s just fantastic in my estimation. My main reason to use this food counts source is because I require a fast source to carb counts in various foods and salt.
I really do like the ease at which this APP is to use.
Coletrayne,
Great app, but needs a sort feature.
As a Type 1 diabetic for 34 years, I use this app to show the number of carbs for restaurants and fast food. The app is great, except the info per restaurant is not sortedin anyway. You can search for the restaurant, then the different sizes of say French fries are not grouped together.
If there was a way to sort alphabetically it would be much easier to use.

Simple and effective
I just needed something that was super simple and easy to see nutrition facts. This is exactly that. I’m not necessarily looking to track my info. I just occasionally wanted to see nutrition facts quickly and easily without having to go to google all the time and search.
Lowes fan,
No complete nutritional profiles
Nutritional breakdown beyond what is on the label is what I was looking for. (For example, whole foods often contain minerals, vitamins, bioflavonoids, fatty acids etc even though they are not listed on the label.) This is label-only info and nothing more. I am trying to wean off of supplements since they contain dangerous flow agents, and instead make certain my diet is complete without them. A star for appreciation of its being free without ads.
