Description

OM Image Share (OI.Share) is an app required for wirelessly importing photos captured on an OM Digital Solutions camera. In addition to importing photos, you can use your smartphone as a remote controller for remote shooting. This smartphone app makes photography more enjoyable than ever, and offers new ways to use your camera.

1. Easily Import Photos to Your Smartphone
With OI.Share, you can view photos stored on the camera and import them to your smartphone. Simply select photos you want to share ahead of time on the camera (Share Order) to automatically import them when connected to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. With a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ready camera, you can use OI.Share on its own to import photos for greater convenience.

2. Two Remote Shooting Modes
With remote shooting, you can view Live View images on your smartphone screen while executing shooting techniques in Live View, and in Remote Shutter, you can adjust shooting settings on the camera while using your smartphone to activate the shutter release.

3. Camera How To Offers Shooting Techniques with Tutorial Videos
Camera How To shows how to create beautiful bokeh, how to use Art Filter, and other shooting techniques in easy-to-understand videos. You can also view the camera manual.
* Supported on some models only.

4. Easy Connection
To connect your camera and smartphone, simply scan the QR code displayed on the camera LCD screen with OI.Share. That is all you need to do to complete setup.
* The camera whose QR code is scanned is registered to the app.
* To connect another camera, you must repeat the QR code is scanned step.

5. Display images and track data on your smartphone
During your journey, send your camera's track data by Wi-Fi to your smartphone and you will be able to check the progress that you have made on your journey thus far. Track data will be displayed together with images for easy identification.
* Display of movies and altitude/depth data is only possible when using compatible cameras. Compatible cameras: OM-D E-M1X, TG-6, TG-5, TG-Tracker

6. Organize track data and images on your smartphone
Manage your images and track data imported to your smartphone as single Activities. Relive the excitement of the moment and the feeling of accomplishment by viewing the track data together with your images.

7. Add location information

By simply transferring the GPS log recorded with a smartphone to the camera, location information can be added to photos captured with a compatible camera with built-in Wi-Fi.
When connected via Bluetooth, geotags are added during shooting.
* Supported on some models only.

8. Art Filter
Select from 31 different filter options and 8 supplemental effects to expand your range of expression. Add Art Effects to your Art Filter photos for even more expressive imagery.
* Available Art Effects may differ depending on the Art Filter applied.

9. Colour Creator
With Color Creator, you can control the hue and color saturation for more dramatic photo finishes. Operate the Color Ring that appears on the screen to adjust the hues (30 levels) and saturation (8 levels) of the colors in your photo.

10. Highlight and Shadow Control
Highlight & Shadow Control lets you add variation to photos by controlling light and shadow sections of the image. Highlights, mid-range, and shadows can be individually adjusted using the tone curve that appears on the screen.

11. Dehaze and Clarity
You can use popular OM Workspace functions "Dehaze" and "Clarity" to easily enhance photo textures and give images a clearer finish.

Beartrack1,
Useful functionality.
I must apologize for my original review which was not flattering because my camera would not connect with the app. The truth of the matter is that it all works fine now. I use the Tough TG-4 and when I upgraded to this app from a previous version it so happens that I also had to do an iPhone complete reset before I ever tried to use the newly installed upgraded app. I had problems trying to get the app connected to the camera and became certain it was because the upgrade left out compatibility with the TG-4 but that’s not the case. I’ve since found that the phone reset caused some settings to change. Had to go to Settings and then scroll down to find OIShare then turn on Local Network to allow the app to connect to the camera’s WiFi. That was the problem so now all is good and the camera and app connect to each other effortlessly. I’ve found several features in the app very useful.
Blah to the nth,
A delightful piece of software
O.I. Share is a core Olympus feature for me. I use it constantly and it works beautifully. It never crashes or slows down. I can’t imagine using my camera without it. Olympus has spoiled me. I’ll now never own a camera that can’t directly transfer pictures to my phone.
Bob's Nickname,
Needs update
When Olympus first released the app it was pretty groundbreaking. Today it’s way behind the capabilities of the camera. It really needs a major update

One major design flaw, why can’t it connect and store settings for multiple cameras. I have two OM-1 cameras and have to reregister the camera to do firmware updates. It would be very useful to use the app to upload settings and the load those settings to the second camera. It would be useful to have multiple configurations such as studio and landscape, particularly since we only have four custom settings.
B3n S6z,
Doesn’t support multiple cameras
Compared to most smart phone apps designed to connect and control cameras, this one is pretty good, but the problem is that it can only be registered to one camera at a time. I would bet that most people who use this app for any serious work also own multiple cameras. Deleting and re-registering every time you pick up a different camera body is a huge flaw. the other apps that I use, such as the Fujifilm app, support multiple cameras, making the lack of this feature even more obvious.

Okay, but with pushy notifications
Good functionality but a trojan horse for their adware. It’s great to be able to download photos straight to my phone, and even more useful to have my phone’s gps record and sync locations with the camera’s photo library. For the latter to work, you have to open the app and start a tracking log, which will increase phone battery burn. The app has a useful notification that reminds you after two hours of tracking, but enabling any ios notifications brings constant spam on every company sale or social media post.
(: user,
Nice camera paired with terrible app!
I hate this app. It has never reliably connected with my camera. Sometimes it says “no internet connection toon” even though my cameras Wi-Fi is on and it is parked inches away from my iPad. Other times, more frequently, it connects, but either says “no images” or fails to import the most recent images. Olympus apparently doesn’t really care because I’ve emailed them and got absolutely no response. I really like their cameras, but if they’re going to market them as having the capacity to wirelessly upload images, they should have a reliable app. End of rant!
Boi-NGO,
Embarrassingly bad
I use Olympus, Panasonic and Fujifilm cameras and their apps. While none are great there is a clear loser and that’s this one. GPS tracking constantly turns itself off so you don’t get geotagged photos. Connecting is very inconsistent and image transfer is slow and often fails. A well functioning app with solid geotagging and painless image transfer should be the minimum. Features like using the camera to do raw processing from your phone would be great. How, exactly, is there R&D time and money for features like AI subject detection but not for getting your app to function correctly?
Anonymous DC metro rider,
“Easy Set Up” is finicky but worth the effort
I had this working perfectly with my EM5iii on my old iPad (generation 3), but when I got a new one, the set up repeatedly failed to find the camera. I got so frustrated I deleted the app, and lo and behold, reinstalling it solved the problem. So try that if you have problems. This app, once it’s running, has better functionality than Sony’s or Panasonic’s. It still won’t work on my iPhone, though.
Draga Paris,
App needs an overhaul
The prior Olympus Share App was superior. I just completed a vacation with 438 photos that it has taken me over eight attempts to download (app crashes, says it cannot find camera, etc.) in the middle of downloading.

Once pictures are downloaded to the phone or iPad, however, they don’t show up in your photos. You have to DOWNLOAD them all again in order to “share” to your phone’s photo album. Thus starts the initial process to have the app crash while downloading.

This is absurd on numerous Ievels and extremely frustrating.
Shemp,
Feature… less
The app connects great to my EM1 and TG Tracker. Imports images, movies and data with no trouble. Controls both cameras flawlessly.

HOWEVER… You are no longer able to overlay recorded track data onto videos before export. You can meld the track with a video, but you can not export the video with track visuals like previous version. What hirts more is that if you go back to the OI Track App… the option for data overlays is now grayed out.
