Takes 15 seconds!
I wasn’t sure what a PD was so just used this app to calculate it for me. Took less than 15 seconds from download. Turns out my doctor had written it as pupillary distance on my prescription already and this app came up with the same measurement, so definitely feel more re-assured about it.
I like that this app doesn’t ask me for 500 personal information questions. Just does it’s job and gives me my results. Discount at the end of the exam is a nice touch tho!

Best app to measure IPD
I tested it several time with several people and always put the right measurements consistently and reliability. I tested also some other product but dosent work like this . Nice to have a coupon at the end of the process . I love innovation that solve consumer problem and are well designed .

Bias against Black skin?
I ran this several times. It would just sit there telling me to improve light conditions. I have professional film lights that I use for my film class. I was sitting facing a large window with plenty of natural light. I finally got it to start the measurement but it froze a few times. Start over again and it still tells me to improve light conditions. It doesn’t get better than facing natural sun light. After numerous attempts I was able to three reading. They were different from each other. Now I don’t trust the measurement. This can’t be accurate if I get different measurements. Impossible. Headed to a shop to get my measurements. Forget this app. It’s garbage.

App doesn’t return a result. After looking into the app for between 5-10 minutes, all that happened was a voice saying to, “please keep looking straight at the dot.” There is t any indicator for how long you need to “look at the dot” or when the “measurement” will be completed. The first time my arms got tired holding the phone, so I tried again using a camera holder. After 10 minutes, I gave up the second time. I recommend some user feedback on duration beyond “please keep looking”. The app appears to be a good way to waste time without doing what it is supposed to do - measure the distance between pupils.

Does not work
I waited a long time watching the blue circle around my face, there were no instructions from app if I was or was not doing something right and I got no results. I tried repeatedly but it always went silent and nothing happened once I put my face in the circle and stared at the camera
