Description

RADAR PACE is a real-time voice activated coaching system. The system has two primary components: Smart Eyewear with integrated audio + the Radar Pace mobile application.

RADAR PACE is like having a trainer with you whenever you’re running or cycling, a mentor that gives you the help and motivation you need to take performance to a whole new level.

TRACKS and analyzes your performance.
There’s a lot of technology packed into RADAR PACE. It monitors what you’re doing and how you move, and it adjusts your workout plan as things change.

COACHES you with real-time feedback.
Tell RADAR PACE about your training goals and an upcoming event, and it will develop a training plan that assesses your level of preparation and dynamically adapts your ongoing training. Vital performance information is stored for later, but you don’t have to wait to take advantage of it. RADAR PACE becomes your personal coach in the here and now.

RESPONDS to you in a natural way
Using RADAR PACE is intuitive, natural and hands-free. Ask it workout-related questions in different ways, as though you’re speaking to an actual coach who’s right there with you and knows how hard you’re pushing yourself on rides and runs. It even understands the context of your questions, so go ahead and ask follow-up questions.

The power of technology meets the power of possibility. We put the best of everything into the RADAR PACE real-time voice activated coaching system. With your new personal trainer for running and cycling, it’s time to reach for the next level and beyond.

done with oakley's,
Cant even log into and register in app
I received these nice Oakley glasses today from my son for Father’s Day. Yes one day early so I can get familiar with them and enjoy them. After reading instructions I downloaded the radar pace app. First prompt is to provide name email and password to app. Well half hour later and multiple tries it would not let me register as it indicated an error occurred during processing and try later. Way to go oakley techs. Needless to say even though it said do not pair glasses no other way but through app I was able to pair to my smartphone and listen to music. Cool feature however the swiping to raise or lower volume and tap to next song did NOT work. Not feeling good about how much my son paid for these glasses. A lot I imagine and disappointed so far and trying them to get to work properly. I will have him send them back if I can’t get app and other features going. Reading other reviews I am wondering why Oakley techs are not responding and fix the problems quickly. I will go on web a give a low rating also for poor quality app and recommend not to buy glasses as a result. Oakley glass are not all cracked up to what others say about it and for the price you should get top notch quality. Signed by disappointed Dad
BoomerQT,
Good glasses. Terrible app.
I believe the entire point of this app is to connect Oakley sunglasses with various sensors used during workouts. Not sure though because it doesnt work very well.

The directions almost make it sound like the glasses will shatter if you dont use this app so I grabbed it and went to work. Then the app wants name, email, height, weight, location, etc. to the point you wonder if it is going to want blood type and dna sample then begins prodding you to agree to let it send data to them etc. After all that it said setup of the account failed.

Finally got it to work but I really couldnt care less about all the sensors etc anyway. I just like the glasses and wanted to listen to music while doing stuff outdoors. So I just set it up through the phones normal bluetooth and it works fine so far.

Bottom line if you just want some nice glasses with built in bluetooth they are pretty good although I probably should have just bought some nice glasses and some separate mp3 earbuds. If you want all the extras for serious cycling, running etc. though and thats why you want these that needs some work.
Mtnracer,
Crashes when updating firmware
Just picked up a set of Radar Pace shades and saw the factory firmware is still 1.0.x. Loaded the app on my iPhone 7 running iOS 11.0.2 and went through the setup process. App tells me that new version 1.4.x is available and tells me to update. I click update and app immediately crashes. Tried twice more with same result. Also noticed that the app constantly loses connectivity with the glasses even though iOS still sees them and I can play music to them via Bluetooth. I’m guessing these issues are related to the old firmware and the app having problems. Total nightmare at this point. Tried finding a way to update firmware via Windows but there is no mention of this in the instructions or the Oakley website.
Active Frustration User,
Great glasses - Terrible App
Love glasses and lenses.
The app won’t load on my Apple Watch...Try Later... over and over.
Loaded on my iPhone but doesn’t show on the watch list... as it it supposed to be on the watch after initial watch sync according to app on my iPhone.
Rides terminate at any time because the glasses think they heard something like... stop ride... even though that was not said. It stopped twice on last ride because of what it thought it heard. Always listening even without saying “okay radar.” The I didn’t understand that or I didn’t get that from the app... drives me crazy. I lead ride group and speak to the group during rides for holes, slowing, stopping, etc. The app complains every time I speak about not getting it or understanding.
Make the dang “ok radar” activate voice commands and stop listening at some point.
How can this app be so bad? Great idea but the app developers have really failed. Get it together and improve the app to be useable in real life????????
Jfab2,
Very bad Tech Support
Let me start off by saying I love the glasses and listening to music on them. Also using them as a phone is much more difficult than it needs to be. When the phone rings you have to go into your settings and reconnect the glasses to the phone so you can talk on the the glasses. I love the concept but these glasses are in some serious need of an app update. It seems Oakley has just written off these glasses which is to bad because the concept was great but they left these out in the cold and have no updates planned apparently which is very disappointing.
Shankar_0786,
Unable to save profile
I got radar pace 4 days ago and not able to save the profile when using radar pace application. Gets error there is error processing your request, please try again later. Contacted Oakley support and no help and told to Keep trying. Application update will be coming soon however no ETA. I can pair the device with phone and listen music however unable to use coach and the training programs. Can’t believe that Oakley have hardware , which is good however no software to support and their customer service is clueless about their product.
Cameroni79,
Doesn’t work at all.
Glasses pair fine, when you get to the “meet the coach” portion of the app it requests that you put on the glasses to meet the coach. App becomes unresponsive. There’s no change when you put on the glasses. Oakley staff was completely unhelpful and transferred me to seven different people who had no idea what was going on. There’s no way to move forward or access the training. Totally useless.
Mtb 2019,
Setup in about 10min
For me the initial setup process took about 10min and I was up and pedaling on my bike listening to music and voice prompts. The glasses paired flawlessly with my phone and Garmin sensors. Overall I cannot understand all the negative reviews on this app but maybe bugs were fixed before I used it. My review is from march 2019.
Purchases,
App is clean slick
No issues with the app. It connects easily with Garmin sensors (heart rate monitor, cadence and speed sensors) which many other apps don’t do.
The app is very intuitive and can create work out plans for you. I followed a running plan for its 8-week duration and it was very effective.
Connects to other services like Strava seamlessly.
kjcolumbo,
Initial bugs, but working now
First, it wouldn’t let me create an account. It said there was an error and to try again later. Then I created an account, but there was a download needed that could not be completed due to an error.

Everything seems to be working fine now, so I’m looking forward to testing them out.
