fon1954,
Still Needs improvement
This app has lots of potential but lots of room for much needed improvement.
The inability to stop video recording from the app makes it pretty much useless. WiFi connectivity and the transfer of photos are buggy at times. I can get the app to xfer pictures to my IOS devices but the Transfer While Shooting(Recording) does not work. Correct me if I'm wrong but It won't transfer Raw files, only jpegs. I'm a pro photographer and shoot in Raw. I generally don't shoot in both Raw and Fine Jpeg. Also I use a iMac 27 and the app will not find my Mac on my network. Some positive things to say.... When it does connects the remote functions for still photography are very good and useful, much better than a traditional remote...and easier to use. There is enough control in the remote for most functions of the camera. The user interface for stills is also pretty good. So Panasonic please listen to the feedback and fix the bugs, Xfer issues and inadequate video function. Oh I am using this app with my Lumix GH3, iPad 3, and iPhone 6 and an iMac 27. I ask that when others review please list your gear as this is helpful for others to know.
Dan Neiman,
Very disappointing!
I was really excited to try this app, but it seems sadly broken when used with the combination of iPod Touch 4G and Lumix ZS30.

Most critically, when I take a picture using the remote, I invariably get a "Please wait" notification and the application freezes while, I presume, it downloads the picture to the iPod. Except that it never seems to finish, and I don't want the picture on the iPod (and there's apparently no way to prevent this). I just want to use the iPod as a remote shutter release so I can take pictures of wildlife.

Sometimes I will get the live view but the controls will be disabled for no apparent reason, preventing me from zooming or taking a picture.

Although the screenshots above show that the user can change f-stop and focus points, those features are apparently only enabled for the DSC-GH3, even though the ZS30 is a later camera.

The WiFi also has a disappointingly short range. It was struggling to connect much past 25 feet, and sometimes much shorter distances.

The interface is clunky, but I could live with that if the functionality was robust.

So, the application kind of ,sort of works, but it could be so much better.
azrunnermilo,
well not good review about this
this is not good i am trying to give a try but all the review are bad about this app it won’t make me to take a decision in get this app, i know is that some of the applications from Panasonic are really slow in transferring pictures from the camera to my lap top and when you try to edit them is even worst super slow as hell when i have a decent laptop an iMac pro and is good when i work on my pictures from my NIKKON camera but the files are as big twice as big as the panasonic Lumix pic and i get them transferred really fast to to my laptop with the panasonic application it take long time my my laptop slow down a lot using it….. well have deal with for now….

Panasonic Lumix Link Review
I had high hopes for the software. I am dissapointed that the record length is 3 minutes or less and that I can initiate a recording but have to physically turn it off recording from the back of the camera. In addition you can't see what's being recorded in real time either. I would be satisfied with a low resolution image but no image at all, Really Panasonic!

Lumix GH3 is an awesome camera but this is dissapointing piece of software at best, and the tech support and Panasonic is some of the worst I've ever seen bar none.
None of the technicians know what they are talking about and when something get's escalated for a call back within 24 to 48 hours you can rest assured that your ticket is thrown promptly in the trash and you will NEVER get a call back.

Great products... Heaven help you if you need help from Panasonic.

CapnSmurf,
Good, but not great
This app is very promising. The ability to shoot remotely is fantastic. However, my biggest problem with this app is the inability to start AND stop video recording. This would almost get 4 stars from me. The other thing that would be nice, is the ability to utilize the phone or ipad as an external monitor for video recording. Currently When you record video it does provide a live view. Add these two things and you've got a 5 star app.
Old Eyes,
Won't connect to iPhone 6
Now that I've upgraded to an iPhone 6 this app is no longer able to communicate via wifi to my GH3. The camera no longer appears as a wifi access point, and if I enter the SSID manually the phone reports no such network.

The description says it's compatible with up to ios 6.1. Where have you gone, Panasonic?
PStu1219,
Lousy app
This app has extremely limited functionality with the Panasonic G6. I can see the picture in remote shooting mode but cannot do anything with it. This feature was one of the major reasons I went with a Panasonic camera over Olympus, but the function is so far unavailable.

Fix it or let 3rd party developers have a hand.
Camera appertizer,
Appsolutist
This is the worst I have ever downloaded from the app store. It spontaneously drops the Wi-Fi connection with the camera, it will not import photographs from the camera, it is extraordinarily confusing with respect to how it is supposed to operate. If I had known how bad this interface was, I would never have bought the camera in the first place. Canon software was bulletproof.
Bob Wojda,
Come on Panasonic
Really disappointing effort by Panasonic. Using it with a GH3 it won't stop the video record, allow for setting changes while recording or show you the video feed while recording. They need to work on this soon, gopro does this for much less and we need it in this for the GH3 now. Please Panasonic release an upgrade soon.
trn58gnp,
Great remote control app
I use this app often for remote control of my GH3. I also use it for wireless transfer of images. It has been rock solid functionally.
