blogilatesfam,
Love the app, but a subscription should come with new content!
I had a hard time sticking with PIIT when it was online only. So, I love the flexibility to switch between plans and make your own workout with the app. Sometimes the app is a little glitchy but I usually just need to restart it and all my custom workouts will repopulate. Otherwise, I love all of the workout features. The reason for 4 stars instead of two are these: 1. My biggest beef is that if you are going to charge me an ongoing subscription, I feel like there should be new content more frequently. And I don’t mean asking for an entirely new PIIT 5.0 plan. I mean like adding a new move to the custom workout builder or adding in a single workout every couple of months or something like that. Maybe some Pilates only workouts?? New stuff more frequently would keep me here forever!! 2. I think the timer should give you the option of how many rounds you want to do like the older timer on the Blogilates app. Sometimes I only have time for 3, some day I hope to do 5 rounds. :) It would be nice to have that option as nice to get credit for your efforts on the calendar if you do less than 4 rounds.
GingerMacchiato,
Looks great but can’t access
UPDATE: If anyone has been having trouble gaining access to content after purchasing a sub on the new piit pocket app, they need to contact Apple for a refund, make a new account, and purchase a sub on the new account. I wish someone from Piit28 had responded to my email or comments asking for help instead of leaving me to figure it out on my own. Updating to 4 stars with a star lost for poor customer service.

PAST REVIEW: I purchased the monthly subscription but the app still registers me as a free account so I’m unable to access workouts or meal plans. I’ve attempted to restore purchases, delete and redownload the app, sign in and out but nothing has worked. Super frustrating that there isn’t a contact for support considering the cost of a subscription. Hopefully in the future the bugs will get fixed but until then this app is a dud for me.
displeased Artist,
Can't even make an account
I really wanted to try this app as i have the body app by her too and loved it. Unfortunately, I can't access any content or even get pass the make an account screen despite filling in all the info to make an account multiple times. I tried uninstalling, restarting my phone, using the facebook log in, and nothing worked. I would hit the create the account button after filling my information in and then the screen would flash for a split second as if it was going to load the next page but instead it just shows the same make an account page but all my info just disappears.

I thought maybe they used the same user data base since both are by her, so perhaps maybe i already had an account since i had the other app. So i tried logging in with my other account information and it didn't work either. It said the account didn't exist. So that confirms you do need to sign up still even if you have the other app.

The facebook login too just didn't work as it just told me the feature wasn't available when i tried it. So i just can't access the app period. Very disappointing, I hope this issue gets resolved. I would still like to try the app if this gets fixed. If i gain access I will update this review.
danielegant,
I can’t believe that I like this app
To be honest, when I first heard about this app I was very angry. How dare Cassey make me pay for this when I already bought it. PIIT 28 1.0 wasn’t cheap when I bought as an ebook but I thought it would be a good investment, I barely used it. I even bought the workout timer on Casey’s old app and hated that too.

Then I decided, what the heck, I have the money to afford one month and if I hate then I’ll cancel my subscription. I just did my first workout and the app is great. I used it to make food and I no longer have to trudge my laptop around the kitchen so I can see my recipes or go crazy flipping through pages on my phone to find them. I wear glasses and having Cassey tell me which move was next or tell me when to switch during get flexy was so great. I was able to take off my glasses and just focus on the moves. I can honestly say that I’m glad that I bought it and it’s only day one! Too bad my poor mat can’t say the same 😂. Gonna need to stop buying cheap ones
SmallTownGirl83,
Thank you!
I love this new addition to the PIIT family and getting the discounted pricing was even better. When I first purchased the 28 Day reset I bought the regular version but having made some changes to my diet I was contemplating buying the Vegan version. Now I have access to both plus 2.0 and 3.0!

Even though I have already paid for the online version I don’t mind the monthly fee. I understand that their was a cost in creating this amazing app and any future updates. Cassey and her team could have just offered a limited time discount instead of the $4.99 until I want to cancel but they didn’t and I appreciate it.

As the team is considering updates I would love it if they added an electronic version of the Rep Record Sheet as well as connect the recommended Get Flexy cool down with each workout. Even without these features I’m loving the app!

Upgrade and game changer! 💯
About a year ago I purchased PIIT28 and I loved it, but this app is definitely an upgrade and game changer! It fixed two of my biggest problems while also giving me a bonus!

1) Convenience 💻📲: I had to use my bulky laptop anytime I wanted to workout. Because I like watching Cassey do the moves to correct myself and I like her telling me when each move comes next. But this app does it for me through the convenience of my phone! Now I don’t only have to work out at home to use my laptop, I can work out any where I want!

2) Music 🎶: It was difficult to enjoy my workout thoroughly because i couldn’t hear the music i wanted. I would try to play my music along with the PIIT28 videos but my music clashed with the background music in the videos, and it opaqued Cassey’s voice. With this app, there’s no background music so it allows me to play mine without clashing. Also, the music dims anytime Cassey’s voice comes on to give me instructions, without pausing or interrupting my music.

Bonus🌟: I’m a hard for carnivore (Texmexican over here lol) , but I’ve been interested in giving veganism a try by eating a couple of vegan meals here and there. This app gives me access to both meal plans so I could try new delicious recipes, both vegan and not vegan!
ashathekar,
Great colors and organization but need monthly calendars
This app is amazing for those of us who actively follow blogilates by being the ultimate PIIT machine. I don’t ever have to find another app and design it for piit speciifically. I’m currently on the free account but still love that I have access to the create your own workout and video bank sorted by body type.
Another plus is the visuals. These colors and fonts are very representative of what we see on the blogilates website and her video editing styles and I really like that. It’s not too bright to the point where it creates headaches but brings enough flair for some fun.
The only thing I’m finding strange is the lack of integration with the monthly calendars on Cassey’s website. I know it might be a pain to add in considering the calendars do differ monthly but I think keeping those on the app would really make it the only app I need.
PearlinaRose,
I was looking for a workout app!
This app is literally such a life saver! I love how it combines recipes and workouts all in one. I was recently looking for a fitness app but none of the really captured what I was looking for. I love how Cassey lets you download it for free and then you can decide if you want to buy the full version. I just wish I had the money to do it.
But seriously, if you Are looking for an app that gives you workouts and recipes, then this is the way to go! This app will also let you make custom workouts and meals and it gives you a list of cardio and strength training moves to choose from! And she also offers vegan options for those of you who live that lifestyle!
Thanks so much Cassey! You are my favorite fitness instructor and I look up to you so much!
Kitty6835,
Scam
The app is something we’ve all been hoping for for along time. A great interval timer, with audio/visual cues. All recipes and workouts in one place. Customizable routines. Except that I’ve already paid for PIIT28 package and paid for the interval timer through the Blogilates app (which was total crap. I ended up downloading a separate free interval timer app and I will continue to use that app instead of hers). And now I have to get a subscription. For content I have already purchased...? She’s sent a thousand emails prior to the launch “explaining” that it’s totally new content (uhh, it’s not) and that integration from the web based platform of PIIT28 to an app platform just isn’t possible (uhh, it is), hence the need to charge us yet again. Which is why I’m giving such a low rating. Frankly, I feel like I’m being scammed by a friend. She’s either being lied to by her IT/App developers or she’s lying to us to make a profit. Either way, not worth it the purchase!
lilfenneko,
Got this for convenience but honestly...
I got this app hoping it would make my workout planning more convenient but honestly it hasn't been very convenient at least for me. Just with the way I prefer working out I would need a much larger screen in order to better see what I should be doing. I think an easy way to fix this is have this version compatible with iPad/tablets or possibly even have a casting option for Chromecast or TV. Another thing would be to have the app make a grocery list for the week so you'll know exactly what you need to get. It's pretty tedious to make my own meal plan and then I also have to go back and manually count to see how much I need of each ingredient. Overall I'm somewhat underwhelmed by this app. Pros would be the timer but that's about it for me. It is an improvement from her old app however!
