The biggest visible change in this update is that you can now check quizzes that include audio questions and see the correct answers with audio included. I also fixed a few transcription errors in Lessons 17 and 20, and made a few small updates to the culture lessons.
Behind the scenes I totally re-wrote the code that handles audio, so if you had any weird issues where a button wouldn't play or maybe you had to reload the page to get audio, that should be fixed now. This update adds trophies to the Table of Contents based on your highest quiz score for each lesson. An 8/10 earns the Bronze Trophy, 9/10 earns the Silver Trophy, and a perfect score gives you the Gold! You can earn a gold trophy for culture lessons just by reading them.

*Pocket Thai Lite is now twice as fast and uses half of the memory of older versions. That should mean faster page turns and slightly faster load times for you!
*Thai text is larger now so it should be easier to discriminate between similar Thai letters. It's hard to tell the difference between ถ and ภ, ฎ and ฏ, and other almost identical pairs. Having larger text should make the differences easier to spot!

Best Thai Learning Resource I’ve Found So Far
I’m just getting started learning Thai, and this app, despite its modest trappings, has proven to be easily the most instructive, well structured, systematic, consistent, and humane approach I’ve found (short of soliciting training from actual live teachers, which I haven’t done yet).
The developer clearly put a lot of love and thought into this, and has a clear knack for structuring the learning process in a way where the systems and rules of thai are laid out consistently, and explained with both clarity and precision. The transcription system used here also makes more sense to me than any of the others i’ve encountered so far (some of the others really bear no resemblance to how the words actually sound in Thai as far as i’m concerned!).

Best language learning app i’ve ever used
I bought this when I wanted to learn a bit of Thai to speak with my uncle and cousins more easily. I’m still learning and need to be more diligent with my practice, but this app has been an amazing study guide. The content is both clear and thorough. I like the cultural and historical context as well as the mnemonics for learning characters. i look forward to practicing and improving!

It’s difficult to navigate within the sections, other than paging forwards or back. If you leave off in the middle of a section, the app forgets your place: you have to start at the beginning and then page forwards.
I wish I could bookmark pages. I find myself screenshotting useful pages for later review. I wish there was a downloadable PDF (minus the interaction), just because it’d be easier to navigate.
It’s a tiny bit buggy. It locked up on me once. More commonly, the audio won’t play immediately. Hitting an audio link repeatedly causes the audio to play multiple times, overlapping like an echo. So: first nothing, then echoed audio. That’d be easy to fix.

Great language application
This is one of the best language applications I have used. From reading Thai to speaking it, it is ordered very logically. I have used 30+ Thai language applications and this is one of the two I use daily. If you are looking to read Thai, speak Thai, learn essential vocabulary, language syntax, and about the culture, this is the best program that I have seen. It doesn’t hurt that it comes at a cheap cost. Well done!

Incredibly helpful
I have been learning the language casually for a few years now. I recently decided to buckle down and my goal is to become fluent. This app has been incredibly helpful. There are a ton of great tricks to remember tone rules and classes. I think this is a solid app to use exclusively as you learn the language and also to pair with another Thai language learning program to supplement.

Best Thai App for English Speakers!
I’ve tried tons of apps to learn Thai, and this one is by far the best I’ve tried. It breaks everything down so that you know the history of the language and why it is that way. Because of that, it means you can learn not only to speak Thai but read it and understand it.

I’ve bought books, attended few lessons in classroom and tried using a few apps over the years to learn Thai. This app is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. I haven’t completed it yet, but I’ve learned more than any other form of teaching so far. Highly recommend. Don’t waste your time on any other apps. You found the best!

Very nice.
The excellent commentary is key to the app. It makes sometimes difficult concepts, such as tone and sound classification, easier to digest. The author's insights and personal experiences bring life to language learning, that otherwise is often cold and tedious. I am not quite conversational, but my wife is correcting my pronunciation less often, since I began using this app.
