Itsme543,
Just something I noticed that I don't get and things you should add.
What I noticed is when painting terrain, the AI doesn't like walking on grass :/

Anyways, you should add controllable PCs (Player Characters) they would do all the things the AI can do only you control their actions.

Also, maybe add a conflict event triggered 1/20 of the times AI run into eachother? Like you could see arrows flying across the map or sword icons over top of of the AI when they are attacking with melee and a shield on top of the other guy if the attack missed. If they take damage it would show in red text -[NUMBER] over top of the AI tile icon for how much damage they took and above all the AI there would be "currentlyHP/maxHP" kind of thing in small grey-white font. (Max health would be random based on the 4D6, throw the lowest number away rule) Because you can only have a limited amount of AI on the field, so that you don't kill everything off, maybe they would just fall asleep if they die? Either that or add factions and people of the same faction have a zero chance of attacking eachother.
Somanytakennicknamesugh,
>.> hmmm...
Ok, so I downloaded the app, but I feel like I maybe I was a bit hasty in purchasing all features off of the bat... I can generate maps, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to add or edit props. I can spawn a dwarf that travels around my dungeon chasing bread and editing my map as he sees fit... idk I’m just confused about certain features and would love to see some sort of guidance early on... I’m not done trying, I’ve had the app for 15 minutes, but these are my first impressions to share. Till then try before you buy?
ArmoredEagle,
I love this app
So I do a lot of DMing and always run into the problem of my group going “let’s do a game” when we are all hanging out... and I have nothing prepared because I was caught off guard. The fact that with this app I can randomly generate a map-the hardest and longest part for me- is just awesome! I also don’t mind the payment options because that’s what they are. For the most part I can find my own way it just takes time and effort. What I would like to see though are more outdoor props. I just went to make a camp site encounter and discovered there’s no A frame tent or even a bedroll (wink wink developers lol). This is nice because it doesn’t require the same amount of artistic talent or time (most nice makes take hours if not days, I can make a decent map on this in one or two hours easy).
Joshtheperson,
Got ripped off
This seems like a really cool app and I really wanted the extra features so I got the feature bundle. All of the features together cost 7 dollars but the bundle only costs 4. So I bought the bundle and realized I only got half the features. I then looked back at the bundle and realized that it only says the bundle gives you those 2 things. Which would of been ok but those two things only cost 3 dollars total to buy them separately while the bundle costs 4 dollars. So I paid an extra dollar for half of the content I thought I was getting. I’m sure they meant to put all 4 of the features in that bundle but they didn’t and ripped me off instead. So unless the developers will fix this and give me the rest of the features my review will stay at a one star. I’m sorry I’m sure a lot of hard work went into this app, but this seems like a pretty big over sight on your part and I would like it fixed.
Jacob!!!!,
Works for what it was made for.
The wondering A.I is unique as far as I know and the app works fine on my 6s, not so much on my iPad. I figure that’s because it’s an older model. Real bummer though because I refuse to bring my phone to the DnD table, only my iPad. Went ahead and bought the all inclusive pack anyway though since it was cheap. I liked what I already had (plus I didn’t realize it wouldn’t work on my iPad at the time, crashes after the logo screens). Good work, if you can get it working on older gen iPads it’d definitely become a main stay in my campaigns.
A Donut Lover,
Could be better...
Personally I think that the app is very useful especially for a certain GM that I know, but it is very annoying that you need to purchase just about everything that isn’t a normal boring dungeon. In order to get anything fun you need to spend a decent portion of the average allowance. I think that this would be much better if it was littered with ads, but no in app purchases other than the standard premium edition. Despite all this, I still rate it a four out of five.
namethatiskool,
Near perfection
This app is so easy to use since I do Dungeons and Dragons all the time, and dungeon creation is among the harder things I do. Only things that need to be changed are that when you’re editing the map, if you try to zoom out it will add tiles while you zoom out. Other thing, as I’m sure countless other people have said, make it free. Or cheaper, at the very least.
a few things you need to fix,
Shouldn’t have to pay
As soon as i opened the app i generated a dungeon, witch was pretty cool but i wish that you had more personalization options that you don't have to pay for. I was planning to use this for my D&D campaign but with the lack of personalization it wasn't that great.
To the creators, all you would need to do is slap a popup ad on the side and have some options for free.
I think its cool but would not recommend if you are planning on making a full fledged dungeon.
FullRowdyBull,
Feature bundles?
This is an amazing app for both brainstorming and coming up with encounters on the fly. However there seems to be a problem with the Feature bundles sale where it actually costs 34 percent more than buying the two separately. I had noticed that right before buying it thankfully but I am still confused how 34 percent higher than original price is a discount.
Barneynibbs,
Cost model a barrier
From what I can see, this could be a cool app to have, but the cost model with all the in-app purchases is a barrier to adopting the app. I like to be able to kick the tires on all of the features before deciding whether to purchase the app or not. Within a couple minutes of poking around I realized that I wouldn't be able to test out all of the features and was already looking for more apps that do the same type of thing. Love that this was done in Unity, though.
