Description

When the kids at your high school start developing psychic powers, you and your friends must team up to stop the principal from taking over the world!

"Psy High" is an interactive teen supernatural mystery novel by Rebecca Slitt, where your choices control the story. It's entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Play as male or female; gay, straight, or bi. Will you be a jock or a brain? Popular or ignored? Use your psychic powers to help others, or to take what you want. Win a coveted scholarship, star in the Drama Club play - or lose it all and spend your senior year in juvenile detention. How much are you willing to sacrifice to get ahead in the world?

Can you solve the case? Can you save the school? And most importantly, can you find a date to the prom?

• Solve mysteries in the classic teen-detective genre with a supernatural twist
• Find your place in the cutthroat high-school social scene: be an athlete, an actor, a brain, or a rebel
• Uncover the truth about your small town and its secrets
• Instead of stopping the principal, why not steal his powers for yourself, or even join him in his plan for world domination?
• Find your one true love, or more than one! (They never talked about love triangles in trigonometry!)

Gambious,
The Best
This is by far my favorite choice game. I’ve played a lot of them and this is one of the best written, avoiding most of the usual pitfalls of the writing style in these games, as well it’s choices seem more impactful than some (if not most) of the others.

It’s a decent length (though I wouldn’t mind if it were longer), and at no point is it ever a chore to get through. If you’re a fan of this genre of game it’s a must play, and if you haven’t played one before it’s a good first.

I easily recommend this game!

Love It!
This is the first Choice of Games I played, (now have played almost all), and remains one of my favorites. I like the ones with more dealings in this reality for when I don’t feel up to/don’t have the concentration for one of the more complicated Choice of Games. Please make more like this!

Good game but can’t stay with my crush
This is one of my favorite CoGs because you have magic abilities in high school, however i rated 4 stars for a reason. It’s a bit difficult to destroy the vinculum and foil the principals plans but it is completely IMPOSSIBLE to keep your relationship intact with your crush. She/he either dumps you when you lie to her/him about your powers, or she/he dumps you after saving Mackenzie. I spent so much time on this trying to do everything right, but it was all to no avail! Maybe it’s just extremely hard, but for me it was unbeatable
The Wonderful Wizard of Cocoa,
I love the magic and the romance!
I do, however, wish there could be more epic magical showdowns between us and the principal

Also, my date in the game is going to Oberlin!??! I’m literally at Oberlin right now. Wow. I wish I could see him in real life! Haha.

Entertaining
This game reminds me a lot of Choice of Games' Orpheus Ruse in how it's storyline unfolds. I think that is a very good thing actually because it helps you to truly feel a sense of power and impact in how this interactive fiction unfolds.

You play a high school student who has the ability of clairvoyance in a New England town. While trying to solve a mystery you will take part in pep rallies and proms and school plays and probably other situations depending on character.

I love how the author attempts to flesh out your relationships with people in the school and your relationship with your parents in addition to the story. Great game. Interesting and I want to try it again as a different character.

I wish it could continue
After the junior prom and everything I wish that it would let you play your senior year of high school so that before you play the summer camp one you actually get to see if you end up dating someone before going.

Buffy, only with you as the star!
I don't have especially fond memories of high school, so I was a bit hesitant about this game. After playing the first three chapters, though, I was well and truly hooked. Now I'm about to start a fourth playthrough.

The great thing about this game is that your choices really do matter, and as a result it feels like the ultimate outcome is up to you. The diversity of the world never felt heavy-handed, and the NPC's were fully realized to the point where I felt genuinely bad about some of the decisions I made. I would love to see more from this author, especially if it was set in the same world.

Perfect
This. This, is the perfect game for choice of games. The characters were so interesting, the story lured me more and more into it's webs. I got the perfect ending I wanted on the first try, and even then, when I messed up on some parts, I never looked back, because the story made it difficult to start again. I applaud the creator of this game, and I expect great things from them. This is the start. Of something fantastic.

Not the best CoG story...
For one, it's the cliche of the grumpy old teachers turning rowdy students into well-behaved zombies. While that isn't exactly bad, the author didn't manage to pull any real excitement for the story. After playing the Hero Rise Trilogy, I began to appreciate the suspense and high risk situations with a creative and original spin. The author of this story fails to give detail where it would be beneficial, skips over parts of the story that would give it more interest. These mistakes and overlooks result in a story that isn't exactly under thrilling or bad, but very plain and vanilla. All in all, this story is an overly generic high school story with highly overused stereotypes that make it seem much less realistic (even though you're a clairvoyant).
Abby Lizz,
Love it
I generally like most of CoG's games, but this one I really loved, and is definitely one of my favorites. I've played through several times just to explore what other options were available, each just as entertaining as the last. I definitely recommend it to both experienced CoG players and newbies just starting out with these games.
