Read with Ello Hack 2.0.10 + Redeem Codes

I have a special needs child. He is in 7th grade, and hasn’t learned to read. Reading has always been a struggle with him. The schools and I have tried so many different things to help, but he just gets so frustrated and shuts down. We decided to give Ello a try, after seeing an ad for it, but wasn’t optimistic. We have been reading 2 or 3 books most nights, using the app. He well older than the first level I started him out on, so the elephants voice annoys him. Last night he picked the easiest book in the box to start. I offered to read without the app since he is doing so well, he refused saying it had grown on him and he like using it now. For his second book last night, he chose to read a book he had only read once before. Every page he read correctly, and he would fist pump. He was so proud of himself, and the end he did one last fist pump and said “crushed it”!

My son (7) used to spend so much time choosing which books he wanted to read for his nightly 20-minutes (stalling). He would be burnt out before we even started the clock and I would be too. With Ello, he knows the books are his level and he likes reading them over and over because he gets “better” each time. He still gets to choose which book but the reduced choices (5 books/month) are a relief for him. What once took almost an hour with whining, hand-holding and re-directing now takes 20 minutes and it is all reading, whether I sit with him or not. What once was a major pressure point has been relieved and is now enjoyable and efficient. Thank you Ello!

My husband and I were searching for ways to bring back the fun into reading. Voices, taking turns, but you could tell our son wanted to gain that confidence on his own. I'm so grateful we were able to take advantage of Ello's first month subscription. Not even 20 minutes in, our son was hooked. He not only read through each book on his own but went back to read through them all again. We are celebrating all the success Ello has brought into our home & giddy over getting to hear our son read aloud with confidence!

As a former teacher and a parent of two young boys, I’ve been so pleased with the Ello app. My boys really look forward to the box each month. My older son reads with Ello and his little brother loves to listen along. The app really can tell when my son misses a word and asks him to practice that part. It’s amazing. The book selection is also awesome. The books are diverse and engaging and very often quite funny. For my silly boys, these titles match their interests and make them want to read and reread! We will definitely use Ello again when my younger son starts learning to read.

My seven year old has been struggling with reading, and because of that he had started to hate books and reading. After using Ello, he has gotten excited about reading for the first time! He loves how the interactive app follows along with him and rewards him with stars. He also loves that it helps him with difficult words. I was skeptical about how well it would work when I signed up for the trial, but I’m definitely going to continue with the monthly subscription! My son just told me to write, “it makes reading fun!”

My daughter loves Ello. She is constantly asking when her next box of books is coming. When it does come, she loves to sit and read all of them at once. Sometimes the app misunderstands her, but it’s pretty good on the whole. I wish there were stats or information emailed to parents to show areas of mastery and improvement, problem words, and recommendations on whether to stay on the same level or move to the next one. Overall, I love how much progress my daughter has made in reading and how the app engenders a love of reading.

We recently started using Ello with our 5-year-old son who is an emerging reader. I have been amazed at how quickly he is reading through his books, with the support of Ello! The platform is kid-friendly and engaging; my son learned to navigate it within a couple sessions. Ello’s positive support has kept our son engaged and wanting to read, “just one more book!” The ideas behind and technology involved in creating this app are remarkable. We are excited to continue to use the app!

There were so many things that were wrong with this app experience. First, there is a bait and switch scheme with the pricing - it’s not $20/month as advertised it’s closer to $25/month with shipping plus potential book charges. Not even sure if this is legal given the lack of transparency. Second, the child reading assessment test was flawed, but the company is so headstrong they don’t take feedback and keep sending the wrong level books. Which wastes an enormous amount of time receiving and you are billed while waiting. Finally, and worst of all, the app doesn’t even work!!! The app will accept incorrectly pronounced words and does nothing to improve reading. Huge disappointment and waste of time.

I am a stay-at-home, work-from-home mom and wife of 3 under the age of 8. I was looking to build more confidence in my oldest son when it came to reading. Ello has helped my son gain more confidence when it comes to reading and he actually enjoys reading much more than before. It's not a fight or a struggle. I am so glad that I found Ello. It has allowed us to utilize this time of practice, consistency, and most importantly patience when it comes to building confidence in my scholar.

My 6 yr old loves this thing when it works. Sadly that’s not as often as we’d like. There is regular audio skipping often times leaving instructions unsaid. The animation will continue, but the sound stops. We’ve also had app loading issues and freezing which makes us have to force quit. Audio recognition is pretty good, but when it doesn’t pick it up right it leads to confusion and frustration.

I REALLY want to love this, and I think I will when things smooth out, but right now, these hiccups can make reading time frustrating, which has the exact opposite effect that is intended.
