Wokeuplykthis,
Feeling in control
After Covid struck a year ago I went from on the go and at the gym to stick at home. Workouts were a struggle and my eating couldn’t adjust to my new lifestyle. I gained 15 pounds and was unsuccessful in finding a way to turn it around. I felt awful. Finally after repeatedly telling myself it was too expensive I signed up for Reset.
Initially I went with two days a week, but after trying the food and enjoying it I decided to speed up my results. A quick note to my coach John had me going three days a week.
In just over four weeks I’ve lost seven pounds and expect to easily hit my goal before warm weather.
I’ll be 60 this year and was a fitness instructor before Covid so it’s that really hard to lose weight I’m dealing with. You know, those last 10-15 pounds anyone finds themselves stuck with after dieting. And it seems harder to lose weight when you’ve been working out can’t make a lot of healthy lifestyle changes too. (I had a good routine of exercise for a month or more before Reset with no change.)
Thanks Reset. Knowing I can have it tomorrow if I really want it makes a difference.
Tari Jo,
Plan works great!
I’ve been using Reset with coach John’s support for 9 weeks now and my weight loss is solid at a pound a week. That may not be fast, but it is so doable and sustainable, which works best for me. I love only having to track my food two days per week, letting those two days help train me to eat more mindfully, and having the weight come off. Two Reset days is perfect and keeps me on track. I’m making changes and enjoying many non scale victories in eating more healthfully. I’ve rated the program a 4 and not a 5 because I feel like the training support under the “habits” tab could be increased. Most other apps I’ve used give you content daily and I only get updates on that tab once weekly, maybe twice sometimes, so I don’t even check it very often anymore. There’s so much that could be offered there. Tracking is easy except that the barcode scanner is glitchy and doesn’t always work, but most foods are there in the search or I only have to add calories and protein, so it’s easy to add my own favorites quickly. Reset works and has been easy for me to implement and John has been supportive and responsive and has answered my questions or provided help in a timely manner when needed. Thanks, Reset, for helping me get on a healthier path!
Skorpionqueen09,
It definitely helps
I am finishing my second week using this app. It has helped me so far stay on track and more motivated than before, and I am actually losing weight because of this..I do have an observation. For the reset days, some recipes show amountsfor 1, 2, 6 servings etc and that's confusing and frustrating. Why there's no consistency? Who knows. But it would be better if they just stick with the same amount of servings (preferably 1) or let the person select how many servings they want shown. One time I didn't noticed and started preparing my recipe, when someone told me that those amounts looked like too much, then noticed the recipe was for 6 servings. Then had to throw food away and figure out how much I had to eat because now I had a gigantic salad just for myself.

Also, the coach advertised is not really a coach. They just respond to you if you send a question, that's it. My coach has not contacted me once to ask me how I am in regards to my goals or encourage me to stick with the plan. I understand what the app costs is low so I don't expect a personal coach 24/7 for myself, but it shouldn't be advertised as a coach when that's not it at all.

Feeling encouraged
I started eating healthy 2 1/2 years ago. One day I looked at the scale and I was 159. I said to my self “No way am I going into the 160’s. So I started a healthy eating style of mostly meat and veggies. I cut out sugar, white flour and a bunch of stuff. Eating healthy, I lost about 18 lbs. but suddenly gained a couple of lbs. again and couldn’t get started losing again. And then I found this way of eating, with the restart days. I have just been on this way of eating for less than a week, but have lost a couple of lbs. already and the big thing is that I feel more encouraged and like this is doable for the rest of my life instead of being punished daily. I’ve only had one reset day, but 2 resets a week is definitely possible instead of feeling bad when you occasionally eat something that is not on your plan. This is a life plan without guilt!

I have now had 2 reset days, and am down to 139.8. First time I have been under 140 in 40 years. I feel great!
Aaahhhteee,
Hey I’ve just started this!
And they’re asking for a review ha ha. Well, let me tell you. With any of these programs, there will be questions on how to navigate through them, etc. In my case of course there were, and I was connected with a wonderful Ashley, who talks to me like we’re best friends … well, let me say she answered every question in a totally helpful and rational manner and solved all my problems. Is Ashley AI? I have no idea, but we’re best friends now in any case 😊 😎 This is a real great thing for a company to do - connect each person with an individual, I feel I’ve got somebody there who will answer my questions Means a whole lot not to have to look around and waste my time. I’m an intermittent faster already anyway and I like this 5:2 routine already. So easy! I’ll be keeping with this and will send an update in about a month or so. Good luck, all of you! 🍀 😊😜🤪😇🤣🥰 🍀
Lesliemitch,
Intermittent Fasting Without the Fasting
I am in recovery for Binge Eating Disorder and have been for quite a few years. I have been able to give up binging and maintain my weight, but losing it has been more difficult. While my therapist is not down with restricting, this program allows me to do it only two days a week, and it has the added benefit of keeping my portion sizes in check for the rest of the week. It has done more to help me nudge my weight in a downward direction than just trying to be mindful by giving me a little more guidance, which I needed. And I only have to restrict 2 days a week, so I seem to be able to keep the overwhelming urge to fight the restriction with binging at bay. The weight comes off very slowly with only 2 days, but that is just fine.
angreboda,
This WORKs
Pair there recipes and reset day budgets with walking 10,000 steps at the speed walking clip and you will drop weight. I’ve lost 5 pounds in two and a half weeks, which is not always easy to do and maintain. My goal is just another 10 or 15 pounds. I’ve learned some really cool recipes. I found out I actually do like kale. I’m actually not as hungry as I thought I would be. Are used to be in great shape, and had no trouble keeping that way, but after Covid, everything kind of slid downhill & I couldn’t stay on top of any diet. This isn’t a diet. (The secret to kale is to really ring it and massage and massage olive oil and lemon dressing on it with your hands.)
Pjc722,
No different than others
It’s no different than other weight loss apps. Possibly the biggest difference and my 2 stars is that you don’t know what the program is all about until you pay them $72 for the first installment. Then you get to review what they promote. Worst still is there is no customer service or even email to reach out to them. It’s all through coaches. At the moment I’ve been waiting for a response from my coach to find out how to cancel and get a refund for subscription just made today. Certain I’ll have to contact my credit card and dispute. BUT BEWARE. It’s no different than other systems with little support or actual education. At least with NOOM, you learn from the get-go. Here they just give you meals and options to swap them out without any context to why OR WHAT YOU DO THE OTHER 4 days not on the 3 day diet portion. Stay away
good game everybody,
Not what I expected
I love the concept of this however, not at all what I expected. I would like to have the capability to edit certain items within a recipe that may affect the calorie content. For instance, if I made an omelette but left out the cheese, or I didn’t include that slice of bacon, it would alter my calorie and protein content which is all it tracks on the reset days.

I don’t like that I can’t input my own recipe or food intake on the reset days, every meal has to be one from within the app.

BUT MOST OF ALL…..I do jot like that there is no way to cancel the membership directly! What looks like a “chat” feature actually got me nowhere except to type in my message and get a reply that it will be answered in my email. I haven’t gotten ANY emails, not even when first signing up. Something just feels shady about this app. I feel like it’s pretty pricey also for no more than what it is.
C Ballew,
Working so far…
I’ve tried every diet, packaged meals, intermittent fasting, diet pills and everything in between, but nothing has worked so far until Reset. I’m in my mid 60s, so I just thought this is just the way it is. I took a chance on Reset and I’m really glad I did. Reset is so easy and I’m sure there’s some psychology built-in, but on my Reset days, I’m a little hungry at the end of the day, but it’s not bad knowing that I can eat more the next day. The funny thing is that the next day I don’t feel all that hungry either. All I know, is Reset is working for me. I’ve lost 5 pounds in a week and I’m going to keep going.
