We've made some fixes this week to better improve your experience: 1. Users were seeing issues with validation codes for password resets. We made some improvements so validation codes should be working smoothly now. 2. Some users were seeing duplicate or too few accounts on the patient selection page making who to select confusing. That problem is solved and selecting a patient should be much simpler.

Lack of Important Data Tracking
I’ve used the Walgreens and CVS pharmacy apps for years. The Walgreens app is the best. Both are much better than this one. One very important thing completely missing from this app is prescription history! There’s no way to keep track of prescription ordering and refill history, and details for each prescription such as qty, and price paid each time, etc. Those things are important to me. Now I have to go old school and keep a separate log and manually enter that information, since I have switched pharmacies and need to use this app now. Major bummer. I also miss the ability to just sign in with my finger print, so many user names and passwords these days. It can drive a person nuts!

Helping independent pharmacies compete
Love the concept, it basically seems to do what I need. And I’m so happy my local independent pharmacy has this tool to add some of the convenience of the big corporations. I love my local pharmacy. I get fantastic, caring service from professionals who know my family’s medications and who will advise me directly about important side effects or drug interactions instead of making it my job to read the dense info included. But it feels like an early version of the app. I would like to support the developers with useful feedback without trashing the app in a review. Please allow in app feedback and a feedback channel on the website. Also, better documentation on the website would help. My husband is having trouble creating an account. He entered his correct information but was told it doesn’t match what the pharmacy has on file, which cannot be true. Also I’m trying to add family members. It asks for their Rx number. What is that? How do I discover or obtain one for them? Maybe explain more fully how to do something like that on the website. All you do there is step through the really obvious path as set forth in the app. So, I’d say communication with the developers and ways to get questions answered in more detail would be the first major change to make.

Simple, Secure, Convenient!
Edit// v.5.2.95
This release has introduced a bug; I cannot select medication for refills, as it states “currently being refilled,” but such isn’t the case upon calling. This message even appears for meds that aren’t due for several weeks.
Thank you for the response and what appears, this far to be a successful patch on the login issue. I have been able to receive SMS for verification. Back to 5-Stars! 👍🏻 _________ Simply put: this app makes for very clear, easy handling of my prescriptions! I love that I’m able to request refills via the app, receive messages in-app, and to also have the versatile notification options which are provided! While I’m sure one’s experience will likely be [heavily] weighed based on the pharmacy with which they’re interacting, I definitely believe that so long as the pharmacy staff are doing their job, this app will greatly improve communications! The interface is simple and clear. I can submit requests, check status and in the case of generics, I can even see the particular brand of generic which has been filled (as one medication I take changes almost monthly) and know before picking them up. A major plus is the interfacing among patient-pharmacist-provider. This makes for a seamless experience, and I absolutely love it!
Wheauxdat,
Was great, now awful (but review updated)
This is my first ever app review. Tells you how TERRIBLE this update is.
Just had to update my app. Previously was very easy to use and stored all the info about my family’s prescriptions. Could submit refills easily with a touch of the screen and would tell me a pick up time.
Few days ago after update, I had to enter a new login and try to remember my password. Had to change it and still wouldn’t let me get into app. After several tries I was able to get in. The ease of submitting refills was gone. Had to go to several different screens to get to each family member’s lists. Very time consuming and not user friendly like before, but got it done.
Today, opened the app and I have to REDO all my login and password etc - app didn’t remember it.
Have tried 3 times and gave up.
This update is confusing, difficult to get in, not user friendly. Have NO idea who thought to change to this current version.
Awful!
UPDATE -
Developers have gotten back to me and said they are working on a fix - they have had similar complaints.
I used the app earlier today and it allowed me to log on with no issues. It also seemed as if the family members were all grouped on one page so I didn’t have to click several times to get from one to the next. More similarities to the older (more user friendly) version.
Hopefully my experience was a glitch and from now on the app will be a better experience.
Change to 3 stars (for now)
chellynn13,
Great idea, poor execution
Too many times I’ve tried to refill or contact my pharmacy via this app, but it simply doesn’t work.. some times my pharmacy received the request & they tried to acknowledge that via the app but I didn’t receive a notification & some times my pharmacy simply doesn’t receive the refill request & I’ve never been able to schedule a delivery in the app because the pharmacy never gets those request notifications. Also it’s slow to update the current medications list & there’s no way to edit my address in the settings. Additionally, I changed my pharmacy location so I added that to the app but I can’t delete the old location because apparently somewhere it’s labeled as my primary pharmacy but there’s no way to edit the primary pharmacy & there’s no way to contact someone in tech support for the app either…. Out of all of the apps that I currently have, this is the only one that doesn’t have a way to contact support or submit feedback. Just incredibly sloppy overall.

Good App - Something has happened
I used to use a big box pharmacy and the service was terrible so we decided to switch to a locally owned option and it’s been a wonderful experience. I was pleasantly surprised they had an app option via RxLocal. This made the experience even better. Leveraging digital as a part of your customer service reach is right on target. Customers appreciate the convenience.

RxLocal is a good app. It’s simple in design and intuitive. I have enjoyed using it. However, something happened. I had reminders set up for my scripts and they are gone yet I still get a push alert with nothing there. When I try to reset them up the screen is out of sync and won’t let you set the time to establish the reminder. Obviously a bug fix.

Also, unless I missed it, there isn’t a way to give this type of feedback inside the app. I think there should always be a avenue for feedback.
crainiac4Christ,
Love after the update!!
This app is great! With other apps like PocketRx, you have to scan in or manually add your drugs. Then, if you try to refill an arc when there is a newer Rx on file, those apps tell you that your Rx can’t be filled. This app is great! It connects directly to the pharmacies software and shows me the drugs I have available, even those I forgot about. Comes in handy when I’ve forgotten that I had a refill on an antibiotic my doctor wrote me last year. Saved me a new trip to my doctor. And, I can directly message my pharmacy and even take a picture of my new insurance card. Hope your pharmacy is as good as mine at answering. Can’t say enough good things about this app!!
P1553d!,
In the top 5 worst apps I’ve ever used!
This app supports great pharmacy’s, but it is the WORST! Every time they do an upgrade it pretty much stops working, do you guys even test this thing before you force an update? What is the designer, cause you should be looking to replace them! I’ve seen highschool kids design better apps, and I’m talking about freshmen class! I love my pharmacy, but this app is straight garbage! Why can’t you fix it and leave it alone? Why do you fix it, add an update that doesn’t change anything other than break it more, then fix it back, then force another update that also breaks something??? Are you doing it on purpose? Seriously, are you scared if it works you won’t have a job? Not sure what the pharmacy’s are paying you for this, but they should have a SLA that if something is broken a dollar amount is fined back to you!
LaelaeEle,
Unusable, even on the website
The app errored my info as invalid, so I couldn’t create an account on the app. I went on the website on my PC and was able to create and validate an account on there. It didn’t recognize my login on the app. The website errored as link expired when I tried to choose my pharmacy.

I closed the browser on PC, and when I tried to log in on a new browser window, it didn’t recognize my login. I use a password manager. I didn’t miskey the password. I double checked the pw manager entry, and it saved exactly what I had typed in and was able to use to log in the first time.

PioneerRx owes pharmacies a refund. Absolutely unusable, whatever platform is attempted. Incredibly shameful. When next the pharmacy is open, I’m contacting the owner. I’ll also be contacting Apple to lodge a complaint.
--Bill,
Signed me out dumped my Reminders AGAIN!
The app missed reminders this morning twice. I opened the app and the reminders were there, but they did not notify me. Notifications is turned on for the app. Later I opened the app, I do not close it, it runs 24/7 in the background, and it prompted me to create an account or sign in. I signed in, and when I checked my reminders, it told me that I have no reminders. This is the third time that this has occurred. “Recent update” did not fix this. I reported it to the pharmacy, and they told me to keep them updated. I am going to recommend to my pharmacy to drop this app and find a better one. This is sad, because when it worked, I liked it very much, but I have no time to keep fixing it.

UPDATE: happened again. My pharmacy just told me they are going to drop this app.
