This release adds new functionality to the SCO Members app and fixes a few bugs:
Spotlight Searching: To search for a tutorial in the SCO Members app, swipe down from the middle of the iPad or iPhone home screen to access the standard iOS Spotlight search panel. Selecting a result in the Spotlight search now takes you directly to that tutorial’s show page inside the app.
Now Playing support in Control Center: You can now stream a tutorial’s audio to your HomePod or other AirPlay speakers via the audio control in the Control Center
Custom URLs: We now support custom URLs which will take you directly to a tutorial’s details inside the app. We will be using these in future newsletters to allow you to access the tutorial page in the app from the newsletter with a single tap.
Misc bug fixes including fixed a layout issue with the video player’s top bar position.

Some additional enhancements to the new 2.0 functionality:
1 - You can search using just the tutorial number, no leading zeros are required.
2 - If you stop a video at 60 seconds or less before the end, we assume you have finished and will remove the video from the "Watching Tutorials" section - for all those people who don't wait for the end credits to finish!

No functionality changes in this release.
This release contains bug fixes and a change to the authentication method used when signing into the application.
Due to the authentication change, you will be prompted to login into the app again using your ScreenCastsOnline username and password.
Apologies for this inconvenience, but it will only happen once, and all your downloaded tutorials and data stored in the app will be retained.

Search for your ScreenCastsOnline Tutorials from the iOS search panel.
With this update, you can now see results from the SCO Member App when searching your iOS devices.
Install the new update and open the SCO Member App. You’ll see a small activity indicator in the top left-hand corner, indicating some additional icons are being downloaded. Once that’s finished - it should only take a minute or two - you should see results from the SCO Member App in your iOS search results.
For example:
* Swipe down from the middle of the home screen on your iOS device to access the search panel.
* Type in a search term e.g. “WiFi Assist” and you should see an entry in the Search results for the SCO Members App. You may have to scroll down to see the entry. The entry is actually a tappable link to the relevant ScreenCastsOnline tutorial.
* Tap the entry and the SCO Members App will open and reveal the selected tutorial page.

Speed Rate Changes
Following member requests, we've added some additional playback speed rates. You can now play the tutorials at 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2.0 speed. In addition, the app will remember the playback rate for each individual tutor. So if you like to listen to Don at 1.5x speed, and Todd at 1.25x speed, the app will remember your preferences automatically.
Tappable iOS App Store Links
Where the show description contains links to the iOS App Store, the links will now be tappable allowing you to go directly to the iOS App Store from the SCO Members App.

Feedback on the ScreenCastsOnline members iOS app has been terrific and it’s proving to be a great membership benefit.
The most requested feature was to improve the video player with some additional functionality, and we’re delighted to release this new and improved version.
Video Navigation
You can now skip backwards and forwards through the video in user-selectable increments by tapping on the skip forward and skip backward buttons in the play bar. The default is 30 seconds, but you can set the backwards and forwards amounts independently via the player settings view. Just tap on the small cog icon in the bottom right corner of the player to configure the skip increments independently.
Gesture Support
One of of most requested features - In addition to using the on-screen buttons, you can now also step backwards and forwards through the video by swiping right to skip forward or swiping left to skip backward. You can also stop and start the video by double tapping on the screen.
Variable Speed
You can change the playback rate to play the tutorials at half speed, normal speed, one and a half times the normal speed and double speed. This is selected by tapping the speed control icon in the bottom toolbar. This setting is applied to all the videos that you view.
We’re committed to providing the best service possible for our members, so if you have any further enhancement requests for the iOS or Apple TV apps, or to any of of the ScreenCastsOnline services, please feel free to contact us at
