T.Serafica,
Move Tool features are finally patched in!
Prior to this update, it would take me 5x longer to make a decent looking model in this app using whatever sculpting workarounds I could muster, compared to what I could do in other desktop apps. Now that the Move Tool’s available, I’m able to crank out decent models as quickly as with similar desktop apps, minus the desktop/laptop+pen tablet clunkiness. The lack of any copy/paste and transform features is still a minus, but at least I’m able to make entire figures in a neutral T-pose and then export the figure (either as a whole or in pieces (Duplicate model, use Cut Tool)) to another modeling package for posing, welding, and finishing. The developer says the next feature coming down the pipeline is going to be Layers. If the transform tools are going to be integrated with it, that might provide me what I need to pose the model away from the generic T-poses.
Plasma5445,
So far, so good (I guess)
Just started my first 3D art with this, and so far I like it a lot. It took a few hours to figure most of the tools out, and I am enjoying the app. There are a few changes though that I would like to point out and suggest - 1st and foremost is the document size. I wasn’t able to get halfway through my project without it say the file was too large; several times I had to resize, and I don’t know what it is doing to my project. 2nd, I feel like there should be a little bit more freedom with your art, such as easy access to color, and finer tools.
Overall, I feel like I spent my money pretty well. This app was well-made and enjoyable, and it gave me a new experience for a change.
Gabby-,
This is what I was looking for!
I have tried other apps and struggled to get control. I always felt like I was fighting them to do what I wanted. I am still learning but within a few minutes I was roughing out my form faster than ever before. This is the app you were looking for too, I believe.

Want to sculpt quickly and intuitively with a clean non cluttered interface? I am sure there are features that i will wish it had and ones that i haven’t found yet, however right off the start this is better than any other.

The additive/ subtractive sculpting with a quick smoothing feature allows you work very fast. I am very impressed.

Potential
To be honest, the first time I used this app was the first time I even tried 3D sculpting. At first I was so, so, so confused and kind of distraught about having spent 10 dollars on this app. I felt like I couldn’t make anything on this app. However, while it’s still harder to me than using actual clay, after a few hours of trying with the app I think I’ve finally gotten the hang of it (mostly).

I think my main hurdles right now are that it’s hard to rotate in some of the directions for some reason, I keep having a hard time positioning new limbs and where they’re pointing in space (but maybe that’ll just come with practice), and detail work has been a tad bit hard. For the last problem, I feel like my experience would probably improve with the addition of layers and different tip effects for the sculpting tools like other people have said.

One other thing that might be cool to see in this app for me is the ability to paint sculptures.

For what it is right now, I think it’s a dang good tool especially for the price, and it will only get better with time.
Goraar,
It’s a great app
I really enjoy using this app. There are some problems but overall it works fantastically. I wish there was a way to rotate a model in the app as sometimes when importing a model it’s not oriented correctly so the camera controls don’t work correctly. The only other gripe I have with the app is that there is no real tutorial so it took trial and error to figure out what all the tools do. Besides those issues this app works amazingly. It’s smooth to work and it’s very easy to import and work on projects. Highly recommend it to anyone that wants to do this style of 3D modeling.
Kenzie LaMar,
Great start
The app feels great. I think with a few more features it could be amazing. It’s an exciting start.

Things I think it needs are:

Layers-being able to put sculpted parts in layers would really help. Like eyeballs when sculpting a head.

Masking-a masking tool would be very useful. Especially with the move tool.

The pinch tool could use some deform with it. Pinching and pushing in or out at the same time.

In general the speed/strength of the tools needs to be able to go much higher. I have to go so small on the scale factor to get any responsiveness that I can’t sculpt details.

The carve tool could have a few shape options since it looks like it’s just using a sphere as the extrusion.

A smooth stroke option would be nice.

A transform tool would be needed if layers were implemented that allows the whole object to be moved without deforming it.

I can’t wait to see where this app goes.
OnlyWoz,
Nice for a launch
I understand that this is a sculpting app but it needs to be a modeler too to be Pro. There are few default templates. Three of five are spheres of 3 sizes. A pinch/move tool would be great, there’s only so much you can do, so fast. The binding box is small, can’t sculpt a full person.

The Pros are that the mirror can be turned on and off at anytime without affecting the sculpt. That’s really cool, blender3D can’t do that without a add-on (probably) but this is also a paid app, blender isn’t per say.

Can’t wait to see what these awesome devs can do.
Slrephy,
User friendly
I love this program. It’s fun to hop on and just sculpt with a few tools in the morning without having to do anything in depth. This can be viewed as a sculptures sketchbook without the sketching haha. The professional will think this to be too limited but the hobbyist will find this to be a great way to learn and kill time. Overall the hands on nature of this program make the experience really enjoyable and I couldn’t be happier.

Helpful customer support
I bought this app by accident & Apple refused to refund me. Sculptura customer service was willing to issue me my refund but Apple refused to allow this. This app did not work for me as I needed a 3D modeling app not a 3D sculpting app, but I am sure the app is great for 3D sculpting. Their customer support is fantastic, but unfortunately Apple’s customer support is absolutely garbage, unethical, & violates every possible consumer right.
Blank_screenname,
Very novel first attempt
However, for being so limited I feel the price the developer is asking is simply not worth the value of the app...had I known it would be so slowly to work in I would have just stuck with Zbrush for everything. It works well for what it is, but please don’t expect to make any real final work in this app it’s way to buggy and clunky to work in for that. I will update my review as the developer works on the app, but for now I’m simply not able to give it anything more than a two, mostly the price is what bothers me...shouldn’t cost anything to essentially beta test an app.
