Virtual Care While on Vacation

While on vacation in Hawaii I developed a rash that started to become super painful and looked like shingles (yikes). I have Kaiser and being out of network, I assumed it would cost a ton to go to the doctor but I remembered that I could use my Sequoia app to access Kaiser’s virtual care and was able to setup a video appointment that same day. My doctor confirmed that it was shingles and was able to send a prescription to a pharmacy right next to my hotel. Not ideal to get shingles in Hawaii but I was so grateful I could access the virtual care and get medicine immediately so that I could enjoy my trip! Thanks Sequoia!

Truly horrendous app

I’m running this app on an updated phone that’s only been out like maybe 2 years. It’s impossible to find a simple profile or account settings and my medical cards aren’t even showing up. Also, the slide down notch at the very center top of the Home Screen breaks if you use it and gives you a blank blue (their specific shade of blue to set them apart from other blue apps) screen with literally no way to return. You literally have to force quit the app. That’s a glaring issue for an app with a main button or slider on a home page. It’s purely aesthetic over functionality and I’m getting tired of seeing this sort of thing in apps that you need to be able to use when the time comes, such as insurance cards, I don’t need blog post prompts promoted more than necessary features that are supposed to streamline medical and financial services in your life. A card would be easier.

Made my life easier

This app has made it super easy for me to view my HSA, 401k and commuter balances in just a couple of clicks.

I wasn’t sure if I had enough money in my HSA account before a doctors appointment so I was trying to log into my account on my computer and couldn’t remember my password. I logged into the Sequoia app easily with thumb print recognition and could quickly view how much money was in my HSA account.

Also- It’s about time we are able to have all of our healthcare information in a modern app instead of physical benefit cards!

So Easy! Everything in One Place!!

Just starting to use the Sequoia Mobile App and I love it. I love not having to carry my insurance cards with me anymore.

Also, it makes searching for in network doctors super easy, divides them out by my medical, dental and vision plans so the search is easy and I don’t have to remember different log ins for each provider.

Still have more features to explore, but so far this app makes getting to a doctor a lot less painless, hoping the other features are this good as well.

Thank Goodness for this app

With so many things to keep track of in life, I am constantly forgetting about my FSA balance OR forgetting to submit my expenses. This app allows me to keep track of my balance to ensure that I am not leaving any $$ on the table (which I would do all the time previously) I am also able to take a quick snap shot of my receipt and easily submit/get reimbursed. So easy! The quick access to my family’s ID cards has also been super convenient.

Refreshing Innovation for Insurance!

This is the first time I’ve ever used an app for my health insurance and it is so ahead of so many other insurance providers. I was blown away, even as someone who works in tech. I was worried about having to figure out what my policy numbers were but it was super easy using my work email and SSN. It’s so great to now all have my policy numbers on hand in the app (you can even add it to your Apple Wallet!) and even search for doctors on the app. So great - well done!

Makes Visiting the Doctor a Dream

Was able to completely manage my care end to end through this app. Found a doctor in network, visited them, sent my insurance information electronically to them, and then tracked my claim and saw my medical spend change all from within the app. Can’t imagine ever going back to paper ID cards or life without this app.

Responsiveness / UX not great in many places

Consistently since I downloaded this app months ago, the UX in the work life portal is really poor. You go to click things and half of it is off the screen, you can’t zoom out to exit out of pop-ups, and generally it’s extremely slow.

Other parts of the app are okay hence the three stars, but the inconsistency is frustrating and I like using this significantly more as I use it quite frequently on the go as opposed to on my computer. QC could use some love.

Looks Promising but Isn’t

I was excited to use this app to have a place where all of my information is in one place. However, I have been attempting to locate a primary care physician and I’ve called about 7 different clinics and what not. Most of which informed me that I’m contacting the wrong number or that the doctor I’m looking to schedule with doesn’t accept patients who aren’t admitted into the hospital. Why give me 7 pages of doctors that I can’t even go to. The app also glitches and times out so frequently I’ve had to click and wait on it this whole time. It has a lot of potential but it just seems so unreliable already.

Love the app but rarely works

Love this app, immensely helpful to manage my healthcare and overall benefits if you can get it to work.

Ever since I bought a new iPhone The app has been broken with a Variety of error messages over the last six months. I’ve reached out for support several times and I get a response saying that either the app senses my phone is jail broken or another app is trying to access data so the app goes into lock down and doesn’t even load. There is currently no fix. Bummer as it is the primary way to access my insurance cards and providers. Looks like many other reviews cite the same errors
