Snap! Connect Hack 6.1.13 + Redeem Codes

My child’s elementary school sent out a request that all parents and guardians download this app so the administration and teachers can communicate with us. However, when the administration sends messages to me, the App does not alert me that I have a new messages. As a user, I have made certain that my phone software is updated, the App software is updated, and that the settings are enabled for the App to send notifications that new messages are awaiting my review on the phone. However, the App still does not send notifications of new messages.

I am more than disappointed that alerts between teachers and myself, concerning my child, sit and wait on the platform for me to randomly check for their existence. I cannot depend on this App to properly notify me that teachers are waiting on my response to matters concerning my child who has health diagnoses that may require a timely response. As a new user, this experience has been EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTING. Can a new update be released to rectify this matter?

The app does not clear the badge indicating there are messages to be read both within the app and also on the icon for the app. Super frustrating. I turned off notifications but now miss news, but the badge thing is too irritating to turn them back on. Please fix it.

Yet another app added for school communication. Not this apps fault, but just a note that our school systems really need to consolidate and reduce complexity!

The signup process for this was bugged for me- blank pages on their website. Support responded fast enough but only suggested to use the app to sign up. That worked.

The app itself shows a badge for 27 notifications but inside the app doesn’t give any indication where those are. I went through every single message (20+) that already existed and was able to bring it down to 11. I disabled app badges for this as a result.

The message scrolling is also a bit jerky compared to other apps. I would assume it’s because it hasn’t been optimized for iOS 14 yet.

Doesn’t seem to be any way to break out individual class messages by a topic. It’s all just one long text chain. This may be fine for 1to1 conversations, but when 25+ people are talking for an entire school year, this is going to be really convoluted.

Not a great experience so far, but I’ll admit my opinion is clouded due to being forced into using yet another messaging/communication app.

I have multiple kids at more than one school using this app, and the support was able to quickly consolidate my accounts so I only have to be logged in on one account. Here I was, thinking I would have to log out and log in to see the different feeds since they’re at different schools, but they fixed it for me in one afternoon. Thanks!!

As an app to communicate important information, it is a failure: notifications are broken. I see notifications regardless of whether there are new announcements or messages. When it occasionally clears, then it doesn't show new notifications until it feels like it. Uninstalling, reinstalling, none of it works: a tech can reset it on the back end if you complain, but then it won't work as soon as something new comes in. The devs have known about this for a long time, but it's still fundamentally broken.

When you click on a notification in iOS for this app, it takes you to a load screen that doesn’t load. You have to back out. Drag down to reload and go back in.

Sending takes a long time and you can’t leave the app while it sends.

Adding people to a new conversation is cumbersome and requires many taps or clicks. Sometimes the list of available people loads very slowly or not at all.

Pictures take a very long time to send.

Both in app and online, new messages don’t show up unless you refresh the page or message window. You may get a notification for a conversation that you are looking at and see no message.

Can’t mute notifications from certain groups. Didn’t add myself to the group. Unwanted notifications from other parents, all times of day or night.
Get good information from school and school board but unwanted notifications from parents who cannot seem to pay attention.

Can’t mark all notifications read with out opening them. I don’t care enough about activities my kids are not involved in, but I still have to click crap. Notification count is sometimes off. People don’t get marked with their school, so it’s confusing figuring out who some posts are from.

Very basic. No video uploads. No ability for caregivers to comment on posts. No ability to send messages to a group bcc style, message threads become a reply all chaos. Pictures show up as attachments and can’t be swiped through like social media. Not user friendly. Frequent bugs that are not fixed in a timely manner. Translation into many languages is nice.

You guys need to really need to troubleshoot this app. I have tried multiple times to login and even email the app but no luck! Very frustrating! Keeps saying server is busy and to try check my internet connection. Please please troubleshoot!
