Description

Unlike other Soccer apps SoccerTrackr doesn't require any 3rd party hardware. All that you need is an Apple Watch and an iPhone.

SoccerTrackr turns every iPhone into a sophisticated soccer tracking computer.  Start SoccerTrackr before a game and track your favorite performance stats, and afterwards, dive deep into your data.

SoccerTrackr tracks just about any performance metric you can imagine, plus a few exclusive to SoccerTrackr.

Key Features:

• Dedicated Game, Pick-up, Practice, Goalie and Ref modes
• Game Scores
• Goals and Assists
• Shots Against and Saves (Goalie Mode)
• Calories Burned
• Distance Ran
• Heat Map showing zones of the field a player spent time in
• Heart Rates (including Max and Average)
• Max and Average Running Speed
• Speed Charts (showing you when you ran faster during the game)
• VO2 max**
• Heart Rate Recovery
• Maximum Capable Speed
• Effort Level
• Soccer Fitness Ratio
• Max and Average Running Efficiency
• Historical graphs of all your metrics over time to see whether you're improving
• Share your stats via text, email, Twitter, Facebook, Slack!
• The notes section lets you keep track of how you played or describe goals, penalties, saves etc.
• Custom heart rate filtering algorithm that will filter out falsely high heart rate values.

SoccerTrackr lets you record a full workout, from start to finish, without a phone.

**Note that in order to calculate VO2Max, SoccerTrackr uses your resting heart rate (as is set by Apple during period of inactivity). Series 0 Apple Watches are not capable of resting heart rates therefore VO2Max cannot be calculated at this time on Series 0 Watches.

Notes:
• SoccerTrackr requires an Apple Watch to collect the data it displays
• SoccerTrackr integrates with the Health App on your iPhone to retrieve the data it displays. It will request permission to access the relevant data types associated with a workout.

This update fixes an issue that was preventing several metrics from being calculated like Effort, Heart Rate Recovery, Soccer Fitness Level, and Run Efficiency. Apple had added a required entitlement that I was unaware of. This update adds this entitlement which should permit these metrics to all be calculated now. Sorry about that!

Also Fixed an issue that was preventing the settings screen from showing correctly.

This update includes a tweaking for the Running Efficiency metric to further dial it in. RE is a measure of how efficient of a runner you are by tracking your heart rate during your fastest sprints.

Info buttons have also been added to Effort Level, VO2 Max, Heart Rate Recovery, Soccer Fitness Level, and Run Efficiency so that you can better understand what these metrics mean.

STEVENIZER103,
Great app!
I’m a semi-pro soccer player and I’ve been testing this app to track my training sessions and I love it. It seems to match up on everything except for the max speed. It gives me an accurate reading on most sprints but then there will be a random one that will read anywhere from 25mph to 30mph, which I know is way too fast haha. Other than that, it’s a great app and I’m going to keep using it! I also love the heat map. It’s super accurate!
Bailey Broc,
Depends on what you want to track
If you care about calories burned for workouts do not get this app. If you care about speed, efficiency, in game statistic trackers (such as goals and assists) and other measures, this is the app for you. It is a little clunky but overall does well with speed and heat maps. For example, the average speed is typically what I would expect for my games but a few times it has read that I ran 27mph... and I can’t even bike that.

The biggest turnoff for me, the reason I do not use this app, and why I wish I could get my money back, is that it does not calculate calories correctly. Like other comments, I have changed the settings of where my watch pulls data and prioritized this app. Even so, it is saying on average I burn half of the calories than if I used the built in Apple soccer feature on the watch. For my sanity I will be using Apple’s soccer mode and enjoying my post soccer feast.
Helps Me Close My Rings!,
Super Underrated
I use this for pickup and even my adult league games. My league usually makes me throw a sweatband over my Apple Watch to play but it’s great to have stats on how much you ran and a heat map too. Definitely recommend if you have an Apple Watch
apodjxu,
Finally I see this app on my watch.
I didn’t see this app on my Apple Watch. When I do latest watch Os update, I can see the app on my watch now. So if u do not see SoccerTrackr app on your watch, u need to update first. It is very important.
Aegeansoulja,
TBD
Ran my first game with this and have been eager to see the results but it’s been over half a day since the match and the details are unavailable in the app as it says the watch is still syncing while showing some metrics like total distance and heart rate? Heat map is incomplete. I’ve been home with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is on, watch is connected, etc.
1jrc8,
Good Idea, Poor Execution
I like the idea of having in depth statistics about distance ran etc, but I don’t think what it offers is really worth a subscription price. Especially because of the constant difficulties I have with the app on the watch, with the app frequently being stuck on the end workout screen without a way to get off, except for deleting the app, which then deletes account history.
Hexd,
Love it but ….
The app has so many cool things to see but it seems like the calorie number might be wrong. When I use the Apple Watch soccer workout I get about twice the number and the heart rate is different. Don’t know which is real but I like the higher number.
itscominghome1990,
It’ll lose your work
I used to love this app until I realized it would not save any ongoing workout if your battery dies. Why would you not save progress periodically?! This works on a device that can’t be plugged in a power station while being used and needless to say it drains the battery. You should fix this immediately it’s not that hard.
Salehdidit,
Seems a bit off
Has my top speed at 30mph (!), and some of my other measurements also seem too good to be true (soccer fitness ratio of 381!) for my first game in a year when I was visibly out of shape (quick sprints and some light jogging for 2.33 miles over 75 minutes with a 10m break).

Quite a overpriced for the casual once a week pickup player as well. The one week trial is a joke for an app that is wildly off in almost every metric it measures.

As far as the usability of the app itself, I'd like to see explanations of each metric on the workout section vs buried deep in the other section. Clickable info balloons or something to that effect would be welcome given some of these terms (soccer fitness ratio, run efficiency etc are not common knowledge). Have other ideas (e.g. averages of all players for comparison by level etc in the graph section) but that really stuck out.
bibby this dont work,
Can’t cancel a subscription
It won’t even let me cancel a subscription after it wasn’t even that good it’d say that my speed was either super fast or super slow it would also drain my battery super quick.
