THE NOT SO FAN,
BEST RUNNER GAME!
I love this game but getting characters from the areas are kinda a little overly hard when getting to sky sanctuary the animals you would have to play for hours and hours to get them and while yeah there aren’t many areas wich you should add more it still is a little overly hard to get the animals and then when you try to get too new places there are SO many levels you have to get it’s kinda boring until you get too the high enough levels your looking for also can you add more bosses and maybe more characters like infinite? Can you make the rewards for the leaderboard a little easier tho it’s hard to get them and It’s gonna take forever.

So much for being the ultimate version
The game plays just like the regular version except certain changes were made because of the no IAP model. While some of these changes are good like the regular leaderboards with prizes, a daily login bonus, permanent upgrade that cost Red Rings instead of real money, and the ability to get construction Gems and character tokens (including non current event characters) from the bonus sections between Zones. Bad changes include every token unlock character requires 500 tokens instead of 250 tokens and every character needs an additional 175 tokens to fully upgrade. While this is no problem for Blaze, Silver, and Cream every other character requires a specific lucky roll of the between Zone bonus 18 times in order to be fully upgraded. As for character unlocks Tangle and Whisper still haven’t gotten any events (at least since someone asked about them in May 2022) so they have the 50 lucky rolls path to unlocking. Also is Baby Sonic in the game? I know that the other Movie characters that have been in the regular version are here.

Fun game, but some issues…
So I got this game for free, and it was so fun, but… There are a few problems I would like to talk to you about. First of all, whenever you get knocked-out, you have to spend red star rings to revive. It starts off with paying 2 red rings, then 4, then 8, then….16… then more! Which that really makes me upset, so please fix that. Also, I do not like how you have raised the prices on the characters you have to buy with red star rings. In Sonic Dash they were each like 60 Red Star Rings, and in Sonic Dash+, you raised them to a price of 100 Red Star Rings, like, what the heck. Also, I don’t think that it was a good idea to just change Sonic Dash to be exactly like Sonic Dash+ So I’m not saying to get rid of Sonic Dash+, but if the games are the same, then what is the point of having Sonic Dash+ if the original and the + version are the exact same! You should download this game, but be weary to save up your Red Star Rings for what you want. I’m just saying.

Sonic Dash had some problems
So I like SonicDash and all, but having to spend the red rings when you die is really not fair because what if like say I don’t have any because I spent them all I wouldn’t be able to revive when I died so I would hate that because I would stop playing the game in when you die, you have to spend two stars so I think you really need to make it so you don’t have to spend two red stars when you die then eight then like 16 so you really need to fix it so you only have to spend 1 star so people play the game more well nobody will actually like it because 16 stars like Bruh that’s too much so I think you make it to only one star, because I mean like that’s too much having to spend 16 stars so this is my review because like that’s a lot the rest of the game is really fun so you might want to take that if you want people die player game more often.

It’s still good but my issues are…
My issues is the gem system. When you finish all the areas gems do nothing. My idea is that you can buy rings, spin the wheel (over course a bit more expensive then normal) or better yet power ups/boosters. Because everyone who finished are just sitting on thousands of them. But besides that the game is still the same one I played years ago. The grind is tough but I personally don’t mean mind because it’s a game you play while on bus or car trip and it builds up over time. I know some characters won’t return but I won’t have to buy most of them. But overall is you enjoy the game back then you’ll most likely like this game. The problem is the gems but that won’t change my rating because it’s the same game.
Also I wish there was more voice acting but that would be difficult in all seriousness.

Can you add data transfer?
Great game! I really loved sonic dash ever since I was a little kid. I was absolutely ecstatic when I heard this was coming out! When it did, I downloaded it immediately, ready to reneged the world of sonic dash. The game has updated textures, lack of micro transactions, no ads. I mean, it was essentially Sonic Dash but perfect. At least, that’s what I thought, until I realized U couldn’t transfer my data. All my previously earned characters that I spent hours collecting, were gone. If you could just add data transferring to the game, it would be absolutely perfect! Thanks for reading!

Not the best infinite runner
There’s been many infinite runners and Sonic Dash just feels pretty mediocre. Sure there’s unlockables and levels, but it all feels like it was in service of loot box mechanics instead of just fun mobile gaming, with leader board prizes that reek of its pay to play past. Spend money to win except there is no buying your way to the top (thankfully) to get loot.
Then there’s the actual game, which while decent, feels cheap as it feels next to impossible to see what’s ahead generally by the forth level as obstacles pile into absurdity. In the end, it’s fun for a few hours but characters are more or less skins as are the levels. Everything this game has to offer can be done in the first few hours.
It’s a nice diversion but I can’t imagine wanting to spend much time on it for a title that has little longevity to offer.
Then there’s the actual game, which while decent, feels cheap as it feels next to impossible to see what’s ahead generally by the forth level as obstacles pile into absurdity. In the end, it’s fun for a few hours but characters are more or less skins as are the levels. Everything this game has to offer can be done in the first few hours.

The best thing I can say about it is that it runs at 60fps, has a lot of characters, and is visually-reminiscent of the classic Sonic games.
Swapping Sonic between the lanes doesn’t feel intuitive, and constantly having to swipe isn’t a reliable method of control when the game picks up speed (probably intentional for when the game was F2P and it incentivized spending real money to survive the later sections of the level).
All of the characters are functionally identical, so there’s no point to swap between them.
The “building” progression system feels like something from a bygone era of mobile gaming. There’s no point for its existence beyond artificially extending goal posts to get certain characters. It should have been removed entirely from the Apple Arcade version.
Four different “currencies” that bottleneck you from progressing. Some of them can only be earned through random drops, so upgrading characters takes ages.
Boss battles are a joke. A simple pattern recognition mini-game that gets old very quickly.
Maybe people who have nostalgia for the game will find some enjoyment here, but nothing about this game is designed to be fun—it was designed to annoy and frustrate you until you’re tempted to spend money to remove its many roadblocks.

Some Suggestions
The game sound is too loud, and there’s no option to lower it without turning it off. It makes putting your volume on one sound like you have it on 5, and having it on 0 prevents any sound whatsoever. You should add a setting to customize SFX and music. Also, the graphics are kind of bad, and it gets more and more noticeable that the rings aren’t 3D and are just 2D images. and there should be an option to increase them, as most modern devices can handle better graphics nowadays. The boss battles are extremely underwhelming, but just running through regular zones is pretty fun.
Overall a good game, and I’ve only encountered one bug since I started playing (Which doesn’t affect gameplay and is kind of hard to find without looking for it.)

Great Game, But...
I've been playing this game since I first discovered it nine years ago, and it's still one of my favorite games to play on my tablet when I'm bored. However, it seems that there are still a couple of issues that have yet to be fixed.
Not only is the timer missing after I get thrown off course by an obstacle or I let myself fall off the platform, but I'm pretty sure that two events aren't supposed to occur at the same time. I would appreciate it if the developers further look into the matter and resolve these problems soon.
