Spa Control - BWA Hack 4.7.3 + Redeem Codes

I can connect to the cloud network and control the spa, but cannot connect locally. It says that “Precise Location Disabled”, but it is not when I go to location services and look at it. I have toggled everything on and it still doesn’t allow local mode. I am not real upset, since I can get into Cloud Mode.

Otherwise, the interface is okay. It would be best if you didn’t have a slider to adjust and just had a simple and intuitive up and down set point arrows for setting the spa temp. The slider sometimes gets confused when I am trying to scroll the screen for the jets and light portion below.

I wouldn’t give the app a 1, but it does need a little work and is almost there!

I have been using this app for about 6 months and it works for me most of the time. There have been occasions in which I couldn’t connect to my spa, but they have been rare, and I have always been able to connect by repeated attempts. When I am connected the app works reliably. It basically duplicates the functions of the deck-mounted controller but in a more user-friendly and sleeker interface. Additionally you can set the spa controller’s clock time by syncing it’s time with your phone’s time, so it’s just a one-button task.
I have a very basic spa and I wonder if that’s why my experience with this app seems to be better than that of others.
Wish-list items would be to be able to receive an alert when spa reaches desired temperature, and to have Alexa compatibility.

This without a doubt, the WORSE app I have attempted to use. I worked in the IT world for nearly 40 years, so I have attempted more than a few. Balboa should end their embarrassments and take this thing off the store. It simply does not work. I deleted it, but I wanted to do it harm.
** A year later or more… still disrespect this app. Not developed by highly skilled professionals. I have found out it needs a very powerful Wi-Fi signal. I recently upgraded my equipment to mesh gear. I decided to reinstall the adapter and try one more time. After monkeying around with the clumsy setup, I actually got it to work. Better than nothing - does what I want to do now, but it was a huge effort which it should not have been. Going to two stars with no fanfare.

After years of doing literally nothing, Balboa appears to have finally hired a part time developer. I say “a” part-time developer, because their output has been laughably impotent. Three “connectivity” fixes and an edge case UI problem. The app is now where it should have been 10 years ago at release, a minimum operational product. But today it’s a laughable antique. There hasn’t been a single feature added since day one. DAY ONE. You still can’t set temps to change by time/datpy. You know, turn up the temp Friday at 5pm and turn back down Sunday at 10p. It’s the one thing literally ever spa owner wants, but no. Not from Balboa. They are still living in an analog “wires and relays” world, while millions in potential revenue pass them by due to their ignorance. Sad really. 2 Stars.

Regularly have problems with app can’t connect via “Local” connection even thought connecting to same AP. “Cloud” connection is reliable.
Can control temp, pump and lights from app, but dealer indicated I would also receive alarms and notifications if there was a problem or the temperature got too low, this is not the case.
My primary reason for adding WiFi to spa was remote temp adjustment, which the app does, and notifications if there are problems or the temp gets too low, which the app can’t do.
If you need limited interface with Spa, you’re all set.

We bought our hot tub in April 2021 with the BWA Wi-Fi module, and we had nothing but problems connecting it to our Wi-Fi and being able to control it using this app. And it would never let me use the cloud control at all. Then came app version 4.4 and it works like a charm!!! Thank you for fixing this issue!! Now it connects Fast to Local Connect and I could set up the Cloud control and it worked first try around this time. THIS is how it should have worked from the start!! Thanks again!

I am able to connect most of the time. Sometimes it connects via cloud and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t even attempt to direct connect anymore. It never works. The controls are a bit remedial and could easily be improved to allow for scheduling and exercise routines, since it is a “swim spa”. I am looking for a way to contact the developers directly to suggest improvements, if anyone has a contact.

. NI cannot get this to work period. I tried all the suggestions others have posted and it still will not work. I called the company and they just told me to watch their videos. I had already done that. They said there was nothing they could do they do not work with the end user. I will not be buying another spa with this feature. I will make sure they remove it and discount the price. You would think a company with rating of 1.6 out of 5 would get on the ball and fix it. Can you give a zero rating?

This is a great tool for controlling the spa, BUT it would be greatly improved by notifications when the temperature of the water drops below a certain threshold notifying the user of a problem. Similarly it should notify if it cannot connect to the Wi-Fi. The fuse blew out while we were out of town and had we not just happened yo check the pipes would have frozen.

It takes many times doing cloud connect before it works and even then in the middle of adjusting a setting it gets disconnected. Local connect mode no longer works at all. I held back on upgrading the app until I was at the vacation property fearing something could go wrong requiring a total reset. I should have avoided upgrading it all together.

How do I downgrade my app to the last version?
