Cameras themselves are top of the line. It’s unfortunate that the app is not. For the life of my i cannot figure out why Spartan hasn’t stayed up to date with all development like other camera brands have. Every single other brand of cellular cameras I have has a much more user friendly, and much more feature rich app than Spartan. And now those others are starting to catch up with product quality as well. This is the bare bones of what a app should be. You can’t save pictures or videos. You can create albums. Those are pretty basic functions that other brands have had for years but Spartan does not.

Have To Delete/Reload App To Use Some Functions
About 25% of the time the GoLive function button is grayed out when I open the app. GoLive does not need work and I cannot request that the camera take a pic. The only way to get the functions to work is to delete and reload the app. Have seen numerous other Spartan GoLive camera reviews that mention the same issue. I purchased a second camera to see if the issue might with the camera. I have the same issue with both cameras. App is loaded on an iPhone and an iPad.

Hate the new update
I have multiple cameras and shared cameras. The camera picture icons are too big for quickly viewing. New photo’s don’t even show up…you have to click on the camera to view new photo. The library is confusing to figure out which camera took the new pic if you have multiple cameras. Please make pic icons smaller for quick view.

Shared cameras
Great camera except the person I share the photos with can’t delete hers. My understanding is the shared camera auto deletes in 30 days. That’s a TON of pictures to load each time and eats the phone battery. With turkeys looking for food, there were 354 pictures just today. She used to be able to delete them, asI do. Needs an upgrade.

Most recent updates poor
Videos do not load nearly as quickly as before. They fixed the issue with being able to zoom and being able to play videos in silent mode. But, overall the loading of videos is so much slower than it used to be. About 3 updates ago, the videos loaded great. Need an update that allows thumbnails and videos to load easier.

Notifications flawed
I would give it 5 stars if the notifications could be turned on for some cameras and off for others. Very annoying when you have multiple cameras and only one or two that you really want to be bothered with a notification about. Emailed developer with no reply

Notifications
The app allows you to get notifications on your phone when the camera takes a new photo, but the notification is a pretty weak tone. It would be great if the app could access the phones ring tones to be able to select something more noticeable.

Very User Friendly
Very user friendly product. I’ve been using Spartan for several years, always like the support and the service. The update improved the download speed for multiple cameras. Keep it up!

Most recent release made interface worse
App has always been a little clunky. New release auto deleted my interface with the camera. Have been trying for days to get it up and running again and the interface does not execute time lapse command. The camera has been robust for 3 years, software has always been the issue.

It is a very user friendly app to use. Simple instructions to follow and there are many different settings for photo taking. Impressive!
