Love this App

Able to sort spells by class and level. Would love an option to sort by school as well. I’m still checking through it for accuracy and have only discovered one error so far; Jim’s Glowing Coin spell is a wizard spell but does not show up under Wizard category, just Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight. No Unearthed Arcana spells are included, likely because they are not canon spells. But for the rest, it is an incredibly accurate tool with beautiful spell illustrations. You have to subscribe to it as opposed to buying it outright, but $5 per year is very reasonable. If there were an easier way to contact the developer, I would be happy to provide him with info on any further errors I come across so that they can be fixed, turning this into a truly perfect app.

Renewed with pleasure

I gotta be honest. I had canceled my subscription, but then renewed it. I just depend on this too much. That seemed silly to me since I have all of the books and DND Beyond sources as well, but… this just works better. I cannot thank you all enough for making this app. I have been doing D&D since I was a kid in HS. Now I am in my 50s. Great Work everyone, I hope more people support you and your product. I would hate to see this disappear one day.

Not accessible to the blind.

I like the interface set up with this app. It is very clean, looks to be easy to use, but is not accessible to the blind. As a blind person, I was able to tap the spells but I could not move back-and-forth from a menu once I double tapped to look at the spell closely. Voiceover works, and reads the spells information. However, once you double tap on the spell, to look at it, closer, you cannot return back to the previous venue. This seems like an easy fix. It would be awesome if blind individuals could fully use this app. I would be able to recommend this app, I would buy it, pay the subscription and also recommended to others. Please fix these inaccessible features. They don’t seem to be that big a deal for you. You seem to have a very refined, interface and menu system. Thank you so much for the great effort!

Awesome. Really helps me find my spells in the midst of battle.

This app is awesome. It helps me find my spells really fast and it has cool pictures. It even shows what classes can use certain spells. It also shows which book the spell came from. It also calculates your Spell save DC and you spell attack modifier. Overall, an awesome app. I bought the premium and I love it. It’s so cheap. You should buy this app now!!

It’s too good to be true.

It looks smooth, runs smooth, and seems like it has all of the spells (for free). I’ve been looking for a program to give to new players in my campaigns and I think I just found it. I haven’t used it in game, but with a saved spells list, now I don’t have to right down what each spell does on player’s character sheets. (Now all we need is a sister app for monsters and items). Great app!

Best 5e spell app

I love the background art to accompany the spells! The frequent content updates show the developer really cares about the product. My only suggestion to make it even better is to have an option to see the background art by removing the darkening tint and/or the spell text entirely when you select a spell to review. Great job and keep up the good work!

Great design (and great developer)

UPDATE: Thanks to the developer for his multiple great responses! I was confused over a few elements of the app, and the dev happily clarified things for me.

This is a beautifully designed app that manages spell options for all DnD 5e magic-using classes. I’ve already passed this app on to a friend who was curious about playing DnD, and the ease of the app (and the great background illustrations) have convinced her to play!

Pretty art but some spells locked behind a paywall

I tried this out to replace another spell app I have that added annoying ads. This one whenever I wanted to add anything from Tasha’s it was paywalled for premium users. The art is kinda cool but also the layout of things means you’re scrolling quite far to look through your entire spell list. Basically the app like any of the others are pirating this material so for them to charge money and paywall spells for someone else’s copyrighted stuff just feels scummy to me.

Great app, Great Privacy

I use this app frequently. I enjoy using it and I recommend it. It’s very well done. I’d also like to say *THANK YOU* for not collecting data. I’ve deleted so many apps since developers had to start declaring their practices. I’m so happy I didn’t have to delete your app.

Good start

I enjoy the design, spells are nicely categorized & definitions are clear. All in all it’s a good start! Needs the spells from all the 5e updates. Needs a “saved spells” list so I don’t have to search through ALL the spells to find my “known” spells. I think this has potential, but not worth the price, .99¢ would be more accurate IF it had the new spells. I’m hoping this apps developer sees this & adds the spells, if these changes are made this app will be the BEST & only worthwhile 5e Spellbooks in the AppStore.
