Ringgold Fleck24,
TLS 4-day routine is wonky
There are only 3 days on the 4 day routine on the app. I figured out that workout 1 and 4 are both lower body but it doesn’t separate it in the app so it’s confusing because there is only one exercise that is the same. Also, I mistakenly added barbell bench press when I should have added barbell squat, so I took the press out on edit but I can’t seem to figure out how to add the squat in. Still learning. Also, I can edit it but it would be good to allow to go below 45 on the squat, especially to add a warm up. I just completed my first week so I’m super excited overall! Thanks for putting this out.
Posidon D.S.,
Best Free Workout tracker app
RETORT: I saw a 1 star review about someone complaining about “server connection failed” error and not being able to use the app. I got that same thing, probably about the same time as the other user. I just uninstall/reinstalled and problem fixed, all my past workout data was there. Angry user clearly never learned basic troubleshooting.

NOW TO MY ACTUAL REVIEW: I’ve used several workout tracker apps in the past including some paid versions. Out of all, I would say this is hands down the best one you can download and use for FREE. While some of the paid workout trackers can do a lot more, the extra features I rarely used enough for me to fully endorse. STACKED has all the essentials things you need to track your workout progress, for FREE with NO AD WALLS or annoying pop-ups telling you to upgrade to a paid version. Nothing I can really complain about. The only thing I would want added is a few more exercises to choose from, or some of the dumbbell/barbell variations to swap, and maybe integration into Apple health tracking. Other than that 5/5 stars.
jessicachacon,
Amazing App
I am thoroughly impressed with the results. The app is specifically designed for weightlifting and has everything you need to plan, track and optimize your weightlifting sessions.

The app has a sleek and user-friendly interface that makes it easy to customize your workouts and track your progress. One of the standout features of the app is the ability to track your progress over time. You can log your weights and reps for each exercise and monitor your progress on various charts and graphs. This feature helps to keep you motivated and on track towards your goals.

Overall, I highly recommend the app to anyone looking to improve their weightlifting game. The app has everything you need to plan and execute effective workouts, track your progress, and stay motivated along the way.
JeffC_87,
Awesome Workout Tracker
I’ve been using the app for about 4 weeks now and have really enjoyed the simplicity of it and benefits of tracking my workouts. I no longer have to manually log weights or reps which really helps me stay dialed in to my routine.

One thing that would be helpful to see is the working weight for the next set displayed with the timer or possibly advance the tracker to the next exercise while resting once the final set is completed. This way you can start prepping weights for the next lift in the routine during the rest period instead of waiting for the timer to expire to see what your starting weight is.

Thanks again for the absolutely free no nonsense workout tracker!
RLE-1-4-me,
Great app, when it works!
I am trying to get serious with the BLS program after reading a couple of books written by Michael Matthews. This Stacked app is the best workout app I have ever used. I have been working out for many years so I have tried most of them. Functionality is great and it is very flexible. Also good that it selects your daily workout for you. The first week I used it I had to log out and back in each morning to get the proper days workout routine. The second week, after logging out I can’t log back in. There appears to be some sort of server error. Now I can’t even access my Routine I the app. I am stuck at the login screen. If I could at least get back to the Routines screen I could use the app to do my daily workout. It should sync with the server later when it comes back on line.
Boy, what a shame, like I said this is a great app but…
Strawberry boom boom,
Poor programming and design
Previously, I was having little issue with this app outside of the wonky controls. It’s very specific on the way it’s used (only pressing next to get to other exercises, only being able to do a workout in a routine on a specific day, etc)

However, now the app is straight up UNUSABLE for me. I tried to open the app, just as I had yesterday, and my workouts/routines refused to load saying I had “no internet connection,” which was false as other apps such as Reddit and Twitter worked fine.

Then I attempted to log out and log back in. I forgot my password so I tried to reset it. But alas, I can’t reset my password either due to an “unable to connect to server” error. As such, the app is completely UNUSABLE for me at this point. Luckily, I only had 2 days of history on there, but imagine if I had months or even years of data? Completely unacceptable.

I understand servers go down and whatnot but that’s why failover servers exist. The app looks nice, but the actual function of it is terrible. The only good thing about it is that TLS workouts are on their server so you don’t have to enter it manually. But it’s not worth it for an inconsistent and shoddy app like this. PICK A DIFFERENT WORKOUT APP.
Jojo22202,
Great Update
After having the app before it’s update, and seeing the new version, I was pleasantly surprised. After looking at the app for a few minutes, I think the update seems to be a major improvement; not only offering tracking methods, but keeping a “goals” list, better performance analysis, and even a relevant news feed greatly improves the app. Of course, the new complexity will require users to get a little bit more comfortable with the app. However, once you get to know the controls, the app is perfect, and allows the user to greatly improve their lifting abilities.

Too Good To Be True
This is a great app that is extremely useful for keeping track of your progress at the gym. I’ve always tried to log my workouts on paper but have never actually been consistent with it but this app makes it so much easier. There are many features such as the build your own workout, where you can input your exercises and weight. I also really liked that you can input your one rep max for the exercises and the calculator helps to give you the weight you should be going for specific amount of reps. Really great stuff and surprisingly free!!
TypicalReviewer2,
Good interface but just awful execution
The interface is hard to beat and makes it easy to keep up with routines in the room...when it works. More frequently than not, the app won’t load anything and it won’t even allow an offline mode. Once or twice is acceptable. Three, four, and eight times starts to become a pattern. Three times this week it wouldn’t even let me load the app for 15-30 minutes or more, sometimes never got the entire day due to “server errors”. When I uninstalled and reinstalled, it had lost my account that I had used my email to sign into. Overall, unimpressive execution from a software front. But if y’all are looking for a good app, you should try Strong—been enjoying using it and much better on the software front once you get used to the interface!
natalieanneconstable,
SO GRATEFUL
FIRST, PLEASE FIX: I would love the option to do the workout I missed if I had to skip a day due to traveling or injury in my routine. If I have an active routine, the app skips the entire workout if I skipped the day, and I cannot select the one I missed. Hope that makes sense.

MY REVIEW:
This is the most fabulous, easy to use, amazing app. The fact that it is free is so special. Thinner Leaner Stronger is changing my life, and I’m only on week 3. I have come to love weightlifting again, but this is my first time doing it alone, without a trainer. I feel so empowered and look forward to my “me time” at the gym. Thank you Michael for paving an easy road to fitness with minimal pay walls. I know all of us are so grateful.

If you found this app before finding Michael and Legion, boy are you in for a treat! Go check out Thinner Leaner Stronger or Bigger Leaner Stronger by Michael Matthews and you’ll be on your way to knowledgeable power that will never need another costly diet or training plan again.
