Abukoff,
The best Star Trek MMORPG on mobile. The best Star Trek Experience since the one in Vegas shut down.
The best Star Trek MMORPG on mobile. The best Star Trek Experience since the one in Vegas shut down. Seriously, until someone makes a Star Trek dungeon crawler or top-down tactical game, this is as good a Star Trek mobile game as you will ever get. A little limited in visual frills (I’d love to see the interior of the Romulan ship my crew is moving through!) but that opens up the possibilities of the game. The feeling of command is real because you are choosing the right crew to send on away missions. You are responsible for training and advancing them. I’d like to see real faction events, where not only can you support just one faction, but you can only use crew from one faction. Imagine a true Klingon vs Federation event. But overall, the best mobile Trek game there is, or is likely to be. Graphics are top notch on my iPhone 7 and iPad Pro. I’ve found support (through the website, submitting a ticket) to be great. Some delays when there is heavy traffic. Could do with new episodes though. PLEASE. All in all, the most all encompassing Trek experience you’ll find on mobile.
Datalore17,
Be better!
I love Star Trek so much! I grew up on it which is why I want this game to be everything. It has a lot going for it but it is sorely lacking in some areas. First, it seems like the developers do not care about their customers and how much Star Trek means to them. There are some shady things going on. For instance, they have an arbitrary cap of 1,000 unique items and after 7 days if you are over that limit they start deleting your inventory. What they haven’t told anyone is that even if you try and build something to use up the unique inventory there is a bug that won’t use up lower level items. They are shady. The gauntlet is another aspect of shadiness. It is so rigged that even if you should beat the other player you don’t especially if it is the third time when your supposed to get a gift. Second, this is a collecting game even if the developers don’t want to admit it. People are here, collecting the cards and the developers are milking every sucker for all the money in the universe. It’s tempting. We love Star Trek and want the characters. Slow down on the introductions. Third, the ship schematics are useless and are just sitting there taking up space. Plus, they are a common get in packs which is annoying. Figure out additional ways of using them. In summation, I love Star Trek and I like this game. Just fix the issues and make it seem like you care about the fan base and customers.
Babybull2,
Awesome!
I m a big fan of Star Trek and this game is just great. I've taken off two stars for two reasons. I'm a beginner and as a beginner the game is daunting with no real explanation of how things are best done. For instance when I get to the start of a ship battle some tips or information comes on the screen but disappears too quickly, so I get the first three words, not very helpful. The other star is because as someone who thinks logically, I know I'm never going to own this game so if I ever spend real money on it, it would have to be for a very good reason and it's not likely, so when I see the characters and boosts available to the players willing to spend it's frustrating. I get it that you have to make money and I'm really glad some people will spend, but it's still frustrating. Because of the fact that I'm a beginner when I entered my first event I was completely under prepared, I still have entered into some of the contests, but good grief I get plastered which is very discouraging. I'm really impressed that these reviews are actually responded to and as a big fan of Star Trek I will keep playing and see where it goes, I also think it should be as enjoyable to a solo player as it can be to a social player- there are plenty of people who like staying solo. Thanks for creating this game and making it available to players like me (with virtually stitched pockets!) :-))
Stoddard Ssssss,
Love/hate relationship
I will be fair. This game is addictive to me but I am hoping the developers take some feedback as constructive. I love collecting characters but to get quality characters is limited. The shard collection system yields very weak items and characters. It is really not worth it to collect them. The ship collection system/leveling is unbalanced with the characters. For example I have several blue, purple and fortunately gold at 50 or above but the ship missions limit me as I only have one star ships 4 months I. PlYing daily. I understand that if I pay I will have better opportunities. What bothers me most about this game is that when I watch videos to collect rewards like at the Dani wheel nothing is given to me. The other game I play is Marvel Strike a force and when they realize there are errors they send fair prizes like significant energy. Or orbs to redeem character shards. I watch TNG, voyager, and deep space over and over and I love the premise of the game. I just wish the developers could send out some freebies, some hooks to keep the game exciting for FTP... I may pay like I did in strike force a year in when I found something worthy to pay for. Developers,.. you are on the w precipice of something great something Addictive and possibly lucrative a little restructuring and you are golden. - Long live and prosper!
LoganWolfsbane,
Big on nostalgia, but you better bring your wallet.
First of all, this game was obviously made by people who grew up watching TOS, for some, or TNG for others, and maybe even Enterprise for some. It's chock full of the bronze-level-hardness sci-fi and semi-plausible plotlines of the TV serieses. There's a lot to love here, as you procure a Borg scout ship and staff it with, say, Kirk, Data and Florist Q (yes, that is a character you can acquire) and boldly go where thousands have gone before.

But what's not to love is the absurdly vast number of characters in the game, with an equally absurdly vast array of possible traits and skills, and how often you will run into an objective on an Away mission that is locked to all 50 of your crewmen, except for that ONE level ten 1-star character that you never bothered to train or equip because, well, they're USELESS, except for that one Away mission that prevents you from getting all three stars. And you're going to keep running into that, again and again and again, unless you pony up large stacks of cash. And you're going to get your petunias handed to you in ship-to-ship combat again and again and again by people who have the cash flow to have the top-level ships in each category. I had fun, but I ended up bashing my face against the rocks of low income too much to keep going. It's all about the Benjamins, baby.
Snacksalot,
It's ok.
The game is okay. You are supposed to collect whichever characters you want, but are limited as to how many you can have unless you spend cash. You'll get offered a whole lot of characters, but can keep less than half. The pricing system is very odd. The only way to have 5 star characters maxed is to spend a silly amount of real money. Very shameless. $4/month will give you daily dilithium. You need dilithium to get characters and equipment you need to advance. The game is a great time waster, but it lacks in being fun and exciting. I was a beta tester for this so I've been playing for 2 years and I'm still waiting for it to get fun. Customer service now takes 1 week to 10 days to respond to issues. I am going to delete this very soon as it no longer holds my interest. They are way too into Discovery. I have buyers remorse wishing I didn't spend all that money trying to get Borg characters that I was never going to be able to get enough of to max out. After 2 years I was able to get a 5 star character up to to 2 stars. There's no way I can hang around for another 3 just to finally be able to use Judge Q. There are characters they released one time and you never saw again - no way to get to 5 stars. This is confirmed by customer service and asking when other Convergence Day Quarks have been released other than the first time for example. Good bye.
whatever it takes!!!,
Patience is Key if you’re F2P
I’m a long time fan of Star Trek - when I first downloaded this game (a few days after initial launch) I discovered the paywall and decided I’ll play as a free player only. I didn’t expect much besides collecting some lower grade cards and maybe having some fun as long as it lasted. The “Star Trek” association drew me in. The daily awards give out some good things including a super rare card, in the coming months more additions to the game were introduced allowing people like me (playing free) to slowly collect upper tier (super rare and legendary) cards. Other additions like voyages give one the ability to collect more pieces like chronitons so you can run more missions. There’s a strong player community and forum where players get tips on how to play. Customer support is responsive. I’ve never needed to contact them but depending on your situation I’ve heard they can be great or not so great. It depends. Anyway, if you’re willing to put in the time, you don’t need to spend a penny to build a strong crew. I’ve done it. You just need to have patience.
galaxy class a-hole,
A true fan game
The detailing, on the ships and characters, is unbelievably accurate. They way you’ve tied every ship and character from every show and movie into one seamless storyline is incredible. I really like how you can really study the ships, go from world to world at anytime and complete side goals for rewards. I’ve been playing for the better part of 2 years and I have to say, I’m impressed. Looking at any character takes me back to the show and story. That’s where it’s at for me. The pvp ship battles aren’t bad either :) Your generosity in the game is unending. It's a great thing you have here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I write this as I’m putting my 8 week old daughter to bed. I guess you never know, we could have another “pointy eared, green blooded hobgoblin” fan in our family. Hopefully your game will still be around for her to experience. An already long review, so I will simply say “Good luck” and thank you.
Admiral Tomalak
Tib of ST,
It’s gotten better except....
Ok to start with, if you know your Trek(s) this game will probably still stump you with some really obscure characters. The missions though are still repetitive and doesn’t really make you feel like you are accomplishing anything. WORST is the cash grab, shown nowhere more visibly perhaps in their “free” daily spin of the wheel for a reward. I have played this for years now and have NEVER won anything good on this. Worse still, if you pay for their exponentially increasingly expensive 2nd, 3rd, etc wheel spins with VERY pricey dilithium, you still don’t win anything approaching the value of what you’ve spent. I never did get any of what I spent my thousands of dilithium on. The same goes for their premium packs but you can, rarely, get something of value there. Working your way for months nets you a little honor which can be spent on other valuable things, but good luck, because it takes forever to earn it and nothing to spend it. The economy is out of whack in favor of the fool and his (or her) money, which has, I admit, on occasion been me! I still cannot heartily recommend this game until Disruptor Beam is visited by Dickin’s spirits and loosens it’s purse strings a bit.
TRJ57,
Star Trek Timelines
Timelines

Well I’ve been playing this game for almost 3 years now, I love it for the most part, however… The gauntlet is horribly horribly weighted in favor of your opponent. I don’t know how many times my players with twice the stats and higher crit percentage have been soundly beaten by the opponent. Also my players, even Immortalized ones, seem to have lesser stats than their exact counterparts on the opposing side. Tilting Point you need to fix this problem!!! If I wasn’t for this single part of the game, I would gladly have given it a 5 star rating.

I posted the above two years ago and have only seen a decline in the Gauntlet parity. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on the game and I can live with the complaints most people post in their reviews, but this Gauntlet problem is making me seriously consider abandoning the game altogether. I am a level 99 player with numerous 5* immortalized characters and I keep getting beaten soundly by lesser opponents, some with less than half the stats. Wicked Realm, it’s time to get off your duffs and fix this problem. Dropping another star off my rating until this is fixed.
