a-bi-space-girl,
Amazing!! Makes me very happy
I sort of feel like this app was designed for me specifically because it is everything I’m passionate about, the small ways it’s polished that show me that someone really cared about it just get me. You can change the app icon colour, all the little haptics feel right and you can turn on ambient bridge noise. All excellent.

The UI is a little dense at first but you get it pretty fast. I just feel giddy when I open this app, I feel like a mad scientist combining things I love in a blender. In goes the Star Trek and my love of collecting information and current events and the ability to hit a button that makes my relaxing peruse of the newspaper turn to red alert. 10/10 If the person (people?) who coded this app are reading this, thank you! I appreciate the work that had to go into this fun little reader.
Beautiful musician,
Skeptic turned into an enjoyable app
I’d seen this app and others in the past and thought it was laughable to have such. An app for a newsfeed. Then late last night I couldn’t sleep and read the latest reviews on this. I’d been looking for something that had LCARS and decided to give this a try. Boy was I not disappointed. There was more here than I expected. Not only could I add my favorite news feeds. I could also customize the apps font size, the red alert as classic or next gen, the color of the app, and even have the hum of the Enterprise D bridge sounds in the background while I use the app. I can finally fall asleep to bridge sounds at night instead of the Warp Core Alexa plays. Thank you ot the creator of this app. I encourage more app creations like this for other features to be enjoyed on a phone or tablet.
Bigdans,
FAN-TASTIC APP!!!
I have owned an iPhone since the very first one was released, which was before the App Store even existed. In all that time I don’t think I’ve ever written an app review. This app is soooo good that I felt compelled to add positive feedback for the creator of this app. First of all it’s a very simple news reading app. Really it is completely unnecessary. But the execution is so well done that I would prefer to read news articles this way. It really is a labor of love to create an LCARS interface that is completely true to the show while also being perfectly functional. It appears that the app is not longer being actively supported but PLEASE keep it going. Build on this. I would be willing to pay for more and I’m sure others would as well. Fantastic job!
PlanetRise Creative,
I am ON a Starfleet ship!
I’m usually not one for using RSS readers, but when I chanced upon this app while looking for a Star Trek chess app (no luck) I gave it a go. On top of being able to gather Star Trek and pop culture news stories with it, I find myself opening the app just to play with the buttons. Growing up on TNG, DS9, and Voyager I’ve always wanted an LCARS interface for my iPhone and while this is just a single app it is a brilliant recreation of an LCARS panel. Layout, sound, color scheme are all spot on. If this design were adapted to other apps like calendar, calculator, phone, text messaging, etc., I would grab them all, free or not.
Christopher Kriens, I love this app.
Username46886,
Great App
I was just looking for any kind of Star Trek interface when I found this. Once I started using it I found out it was really fun just to play with the buttons. I’ve watched all the show and I am happy that I can play with an app that looks similar to the interface within those shows, plus I can use it to catch up on news which is great.
Ralphieb2t,
Simple little RSS feed for Trekkies
Pros: super cool style & sound effects. It’s really a skin that makes you feel like you’re on the Bridge of the Enterprise. Customizable effects, sounds & colors.
Cons: certainly does NOT have all the bells & whistles you might get with other, more “professionally” oriented feeds. Can’t always add newer blogs to your feed— depending on the site/format. Can only use Google search engine to add feeds.

A really fun, overall simple but useful RSS app for fans of the series!

Some Ideas for future implementation: A way to grab feeds through your browser or even just a way to enter a URL through the “in-app Safari” would be handy.
A feature to export all your Feeds at once would be super helpful too… perhaps, a “copy all” or “export to mail” or something like that.
thrace75,
My morning Ready Room!
I can’t believe how perfect this app is for those of us living in the Star Trek Universe! Wonderful displays and sound effects true to series. Makes my morning news read not so depressing. So, until I can temporal transport to Archer’s time and join Starfleet, this app will serve the many and the few…and my inner geek as well!
Sono Hayate,
Make More Like This!!
I absolutely love this app, the attention to detail is really incredible. It’s simple, useful, and a very well-crafted experience overall. I would love to see the dev make other LCARS themed apps! Maybe an LCARS calendar, LCARS clock, LCARS calculator, or things like that. If they were as refined as this app, I’d definitely be willing to pay for them too.
The House of house,
Stellar emulation!
In addition to being a useful and note-perfect recreation of the PADD UI, its also a wonderful tool for setting up a second curated news feed, when you want to skip the politics and nerd out to Gizmodo and Wired. Great way to escape this planet!

Also, I love the idea of expanded functionality, like a calculator, PDF librarian, and/or weather app.

If only we could replace Siri with Majel Barrett...
Gnome of Misty Mountain,
Open in Web function
Hi Christopher,

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that the open in web feature is no longer working properly. It opens for a millisecond and then the screen goes white. Other than that I love this app and use it regularly.
