Description

A storage and bandwidth calculator for video and audio media files. StorageCalculator is a simple way to calculate the storage and bandwidth required to store your footage. The app contains data on a wide array of professional codecs, including ProRes, XAVC, DNxHR and RedCode.
The data rate chooser helps you to estimate the data rate required to fit a video of a certain duration into a file of a certain size - for example creating an MP4 which has to fit onto a pen drive.
There is also a copy time estimator, which can be used to estimate the time required to copy data between different drives.

fkick,
Great little storage calculator for codecs
This is a great little pocket calculator for a variety of video production codecs. It doesn’t include all of the latest codecs but it’s great for quick reference and handles a majority of the codecs out there.
