Description

Timecode by Panoptik is the most attractive Timecode calculator on the market (if we do say so ourselves). It is the only professional choice for performing fast, ultra-precise timecode calculations and film unit conversions. Using Timecode, you can calculate and convert any timecode into any other timecode or unit at the touch of a button. Timecode displays four user-definable units at once, allowing you to view conversions on any frame rate like 29.97 fps, 25 fps, rolls of film and frame results at the same time.

Do you need to know more? OK, OK not only can you do all those fancy frame and film rate calculations but it also gathers them together in an elegant little log that can be forwarded on to anyone who needs to know. Packed under the hood of its deceptively simple interface is one of the most robust timecode math engines on the planet, designed by a team of filmmakers, editors, designers, technicians and developers. Thanks to Timecode’s peerless combination of precision software engineering and clear, contemporary design, complicated timecode calculations are more simple than they have ever been.

Honestly, you need this in your life.

The Peab,
Beautiful update!
A beautiful update to an already great app. For those that have worked in media production for long enough, you remember that it was impossible to touch a timecode calculator with this kind of functionality for less than $150. This little gem easily pays for itself.
MormonMacMan,
Fantastic update
This is a great update. I thought the app was dead, but with the update it's apparent the developer is still committed to making this a great tool for anyone that has to deal with video/film timecode. Great work.
FancyGriddles,
Update is fantastic!
Aesthetic and functional UI improvements on this version. It works great and looks awesome! In hindsight, thank you for taking your time. It paid off.
amedit,
version 1.2 rocks
pros: attractive, professional design; works well; all standard formats; keeps logs of past calculations
cons: with version 1.2, none found so far

I've had this app for 8 or 9 months now, and use it all the time. Very happy with it. Had one or two quibbles with past versions, but attentive updates have fixed my issues. I think this software is worth a couple extra bucks because it is such a pleasure to use and the developer clearly listens to customers.
unPhiltrd,
Just brilliant.
Just purchased this 48 hours ago, and it has already proved to be well worth the asking price. Fantastic design & the ability to log and share the calculations are just the tips of the iceberg.

I like to judge my tools by how useful they make me to others. With this app in my bag of tricks, I look brilliant.

Only wish I have for the future would a full screen iPad version!

Awesome Utility for any film Professional
It is worth the money, I pull this out all the time to help during and post production...I have made some of my colleagues go and buy their own so they can stop borrowing this from me.
Every now and then in the middle of all the useless apps out there you find gems like this one!
videoaaron,
Great looking and easy to use
Have you seen the other timecode calc apps? They look eye-stabbingly awful and are almost impossible to use efficiently. This one is super simple to use, and makes your eyes happy in the process. Worth the $, no doubt.
Moreteasquire,
Brilliant
I love this ap, the design is slick and the screens are laid out simply and logically. It is a pleasure to use and a pleasure to look at, I use it every day.
thelanj,
Still no iphone 5 screen support
Iphone 5 was released in 2012 and it's now going on 2014 and this app still doesn't support the full screen size of the 5, 5c, and 5s. Makes me question the commitment to this app long term
Pixelwizard,
Custom frame rate?
I'm disappointed this app doesn't have the ability to enter a custom frame rate. I should have the ability to affect the frame rate in the calculation. Namely I'm trying to calculate based on a frame rate of 120 fps.
