KittenCat,
Love it ❤️...just a suggestion 🙋‍♀️🤷‍♀️
I love this app as it has allowed me to compete with my family and friends who don’t have the same trackers. The one thing I would love to see is active notifications/prompts during competitions. A lot of the people I’ve brought over recently have Fitbits, and this is a strength of their app. It lets you know when people are gaining on you or when you’re gaining on someone else. It also reminds you to sync, congratulates challenge winners, etc. I think those features keep people opening the app. Because Stridekick isn’t the native app for most trackers, you need a little something extra to drive people to remember to open two different apps otherwise they tend to forget to do so. The chat feature is great. I just think it would be used more if there were prompts to drive people to comment. If it already does this, and I missed it let me know. Right now the only notifications I get are challenge invites. Stridekick provides a lot of useful information during a challenge and has a fun interface. I think adding this would push the app over the top 👍.
MMKAJ,
Just what I was looking for, but a small suggestion ...
My friends and I had been looking for an app where we could send challenges to each other and compete to see who has the most steps. This app was just what we were looking for and is user friendly, simple looking, and has positive energy.

We love the challenge options but we’d love if there was a choice to make a collective target. We originally thought that the target challenge was cumulative with all our steps but it turns out it isn’t. I think it’s great to have friendly competition but it’s also fun to work with friends to meet a common goal. I look forward to the future updates with this app and I’ve very excited to start using it with my friends.
caitlin.bewell,
Great app but necessarily for large groups.
** I really appreciate getting a response to my review. I reached out and they were able to help accommodate my group so we could switch back to the app. Thank you!!**

I really like this app! The only thing that I really do not like is the fact that you can’t have more than 10 people participate in a private challenge. I run a health and fitness Facebook group for moms and we were doing weekly step challenges with this app. But because we have so many members and more people wanted to join, I had to make multiple separate challenges, so that meant everyone wasn’t able to compete against the group as a whole. Also, I believe you can only have 5 private challenges at a time so that wouldn’t have been enough to include everyone from my group anyway. I really wish you would change the number of participants in a private challenge to unlimited or at least to a cap of 50 or even 100. Hell, we even talked about paying an annual membership if that would allow us to participate together.
Fire Veins,
So Far So kinda Good
Just moved from Fitbit to here. Have had several of my friends that have switched from Fitbit to other platforms contact me and tell me about this cross platform app. Awesome!! Definitely cool that I can join them in challenges again. Definitely looking forward to this app and it’s potential in the future. I only have one complaint/concern. I can already tell there are scammers and other types of people on here not interested in the fitness side of this app and like Fitbits app it doesn’t seem to be moderated at all yet. I truly hope they nip this mess in the bud so that the ones who do enjoy fitness and what this app is intended for don’t have to deal with having to weed these people out and deal with these dm’s that obviously have no business here.
Thanks Stridekick for creating this cross platform app so we all can have some fun while staying fit!! You have a new customer for life!!
Maryland RVer,
Great challenge and chat app
This app is a godsend for FitBit users upset that app axed challenges. Stridekick easily syncs with my Fitbit device, among others. I have found many old fitness friends here and made new friends quickly. A variety of challenge formats are available. Most will input your daily data automatically but there is a way to manually check off specially created goals, i.e., drinking 8 glasses of water a day. The chat capabilities are more robust than on Fitbit app and those annoying app generated status updates/cheers are not part of SK. While the profile page is a bit brief, you can add pics to your chats which can be directed to a challenge group or an individual. Nice that you can turn off the chat notifications. While the program is a bit slow at times, the software maintenance folks are responsive. They also have online awesome tutorials. Great app!
L.Suwa,
Thank you Stridekick
Many thanks Aubrey
It was there all along l just didn’t scroll down. Many thanks. I have truly enjoyed this app. It has changed my lifestyle for the best. From dropping 16 kilos -(96 to 80 kilos ) and still improving. I am walking every other day. Outdoor and indoor. Carrying my phone everywhere to ensure to count my steps!! Thanks to the challenges and some l created myself. I joined June this year and l guess am hooked for life. Thank you for the motivation, tips and exciting challenges. I have truly enjoyed and challenged myself to waking up as early at 6am to complete the activity for the day. My completed challenges and steps walked this year after recovering from Covid-19 is a miracle from God and consistency and doggedness from me and most especially my husband, children, sister - a member and friends. They all have seen a new me - looking younger and stronger. Thank you to your team. Keep up the good work and inspiring us on.
Best wishes for 2021🏽🏽
fln8tive,
So far, so good
Fitbit defector due to Google killing some of the most popular things; Open Groups, Challenges, Badges and History. Stridekick seems to have many of those items, so lots of my friends have followed me here and we continue our limited competitions. Open Groups would be a wonderful feature, it would allow people to gather, share achievements and follow each other. Stridekick seems to be siloed with some open challenges for the masses & individual challenges for friends & families. Anyway, I think the platform is a great place for individuals to have healthy challenge events. Have to say I miss some of the features from FB, just hope the developers here take feedback to heart.
xoBrittnyxo,
Great app!
I love that the app is compatible with many different types of trackers. I’ve been able to participate in challenges with people I wouldn’t be able to without this app...we all have apple watches, Fitbit, Samsung watch and other devices but were all able to compete together. You can join challenges that are based on individuals competing or an over all goal that everyone tries to achieve daily. I also like that there are existing challenges you can join, or you can create your own. I reached out to support with a suggestion for one of the existing challenge groups and they were so friendly and even implemented the suggestion. Highly recommend the app!
Kjjay2,
Good stats so I can challenge myself
I used a Fitbit for over a year and then an Apple Watch. This app helped me make the transition because I could see my steps, distance and workout minutes tracked over time on three different graphs—and by week, month and year. Fantastic! And also free, which is better than some other apps out there.
I have 5 friends I sync with but we don’t really do challenges. The app does help me compete with the one other competitive person in the group (Garmin wearer) and I would say we’ve maintained our streak longer than we would without an app. This app is worth downloading and trying.
Cubbie Fan in the ATL,
Disappointed
I’ve had this app for a few years. I’ve completed with co workers and then introduced with family. The competitions have been good and the chats have been good for encouragement. Lately, probably the past 6 months there have been a lot of people who may use it for the wrong reasons. Also lately less than appropriate chats. I mostly just removed those people and left the competitions. Also, a group of people seemed to have started policing for users they consider to be fake or those to watch out for. I post maybe my first comment recently and a user with a female’s name put up the caution emoji. I did ask why to no response. But I don’t need a target like that put on me. I deleted the comment and then just decided to delete the app. It just makes it not worth it. But thought you might want to know why you lost a long time user.
