hix83,
New app.
I like the color scheme of the new app. Not as bright and eye blinding. That’s about it.
Why does it load from the start to the setting and subscriptions. Who wants to see that. We have cell cameras to see pictures. That’s stuff just for setup and forget it. Make it a tab you can go to and leave it at that.
When you view setting on one camera however to for instance change photo capture time. It takes you back to the subscription page not the settings. It freezes on pics often too.

I get a notification that my storage is full on my SD CARDS also. I use SD management so it’s always full. Can’t turn that off.

Please update the app and listen to us hunters.

When the app loads it should go to the camera roll. The filter option is neat but when you have to scroll to the bottom to submit it it’s annoying. Make it simple and fit all of it on one view

Have a camera tab that list all your camera and be able to click and change setting on the fly like the photo timer. I like to click on mine and turn it to 30 min. If I’m filling up a feeder or mowing ect. Make it easier to get to!
Wrxified,
Unfortunately it’s as bad as the reviews indicate
First the good. The interface is clean hand easy to navigate. The top bar quickly points users to the appropriate location. (Photos, Subcription & Cameras). One suggestion I’d make is to separate the whole subscription aspect of the experience from viewing photos and managing cameras. The subscription aspect of the service is a given and if done right it’s more of a set it and forget it type of feature.

The bad. The experience in setting the camera was pretty dang bad. I followed the setup guide step by step and would get stuck on the app with it being non responsive. I actually ended up having to go on the strike force website directly to finish parts of it. The payment method for example. It wouldn’t let me enter the cc# on my phone through the app.

The other issue I’m running into with the app is trying to change settings on the cameras. On the web portal at the bottom of each section there is a save button. Kinda helps ensure you actually save the feature changes you made. There is no save feature button on the iOS app and maybe that is the reason for the other issue. I can’t really seem to be able to make feature changes on the app. I’ve tried to make changes to the camera settings through the app by changing them to the appropriate setting. It never seems to update the feature on the camera.
shakopeeguy,
What Junk!
I read a number of reviews on cellular trail cams and the browning defender always is at the top of the list. I bought the Defender Ridgeline. The problem is, they don’t tell you The strikeforce app is junk. It took a good two hours to clunk through this disgusting app till I finally got things set up. However, I’m still not getting notifications to my phone when the camera uploads. I have all the settings right. Immediate upload thumbnail and notifications turned on my phone. But the pictures come in on a very long delay and then there’s no notification. I have to go in and open the app and manually look at the pictures. I was told this was supposed to automatically send me images to my phone when the camera is triggered but that’s just not true. At least if it does you have no way of knowing. I don’t know who did the review on these cameras but they definitely were not clumping the camera and the app in as a whole. I feel like I just went back 10 years in technology with this. You would be better off going and buying a Ring camera and setting up a wireless network modem out in the woods. In fact, that’s what I’m going to do. This thing is going back to Cabala’s. My tiny battery powered ring cameras work ten times better than this thing. And they’re only $99.

Promethius Group- Nothing But Problems
I paid over $200 for my Browning Strikeforce camera and have Moultrie XV6000 cameras that were half the price that work flawlessly on the same property with the same cell provider. Constantly having issues with the Strikeforce app giving me errors related to fetching the camera, internal server errors, unable to login, the list goes on and on. Customer support is poor, only available 9-5 (you know, when animals are not active to verify proper operation), no real solutions except “we’re aware of it, and working on it. Please wait and see if it improves.”. I’ve been waiting almost a month now, still, nothing has improved. Don’t waste your money- you may think you’re buying a Browning product with quality and service you expect, but you’re only buying the brand name premium with a Promethius Group problem. Read the reviews, I’m not the only one.
oldhoundog,
Worst Camera app ever!
I had been using a popular competitors cameras for many a years, and was not satisfied with the photo transfer I decided to the Browning Cameras. After downloading the app, I struggled to create an account ( which required assistance from Browning). After they assisted, while trying to sign in to connect my camera, the app again froze me out, requiring contacting Browning a second time. I received a generic “Try this email” , none of the suggested actions being successful. The next step was to recontact Browning for a third time. That is the point in time I decided to return the unit and look for a different camera maker to try.

The camera itself looked well made, but the issues with the app lead me to conclude the Browning solution should be avoided! Be fore warned!
Pintlala Hunter,
Good camera, terrible app
I received a Browning Defender wireless for Christmas. The camera works well, uploads pictures, captures game. The issue lies in the Strikeforce app. The pictures presented on the web terribly are poor quality called “thumbnails.” 25 thumbnails are displayed at a time with no “select all” button to delete them. Even when thumbnails are deleted the deleted pictures still count against the monthly quota. There is an option to request “HIgh Definition “ or HD versions of the “thumbnails”, but I have yet to receive one of the HD thumbnail I have requested. The camera is expensive, the strike force plan is expensive, and well I feel my family was duped in the making the purchase.
M1keman85,
Good App. If notifications worked!!!!
Have had the Browning Cam and app for about 2 months. Worked great up until last week. Peak hunting season in my area. Have been getting notifications letting me know if it’s worth sitting each day. Woke up at my usual time and I had no notifications.....well, obviously there wasn’t any deer movement overnight so I dosed back off to sleep. WRONG!!!! Opened app later and it finally showed the biggest buck so far was at the stand at daylight but I was never notified. Just my luck.... decent camera and good app let me down the one day I didn’t need it to fail lol. Let’s get this bug fixed Prometheus Group!!!!!! 4 outta 5*

Officially Awful!
I’ve had these cameras and this app for about a year now - honestly, when I really need them, the app is absolutely awful. I cannot download videos when I need them, I try to delete ones I don’t need and then they end up not deleting, showing the video card is 99% full all the time. This obviously can’t be true after I delete a ton of content…and now has missed a really important incident on my property altogether so I have no video proof footage! Not happy I’ve spent this much with them to only discover this, now very major, fail!
Newbee Pilot,
Return the Camera. Buy ANY other brand
We have a dozen or so cellular trail cams made by various manufacturers.

Browning’s are the only cams that are impossible to set up without having to call customer service. (They’re reps are helpful, but you’ll be 2 hours into pulling your hair out before you call them).

Their advertising is misleading. It’s unlikely that your camera “is capable” of transmitting video. The only way you’ll find this out is after you buy the camera, spend 5 hours getting the app to work, setting it in the field, getting a notice that you’ve captured video & then trying to download it. 1/2 the service for 2x the price of other mfg’s plans. I’m surprised that national farm / tractor realtors carry this setup.

The photo quality is awful too. I’ll try to insert an example. In the meanwhile, return the cam.
CIB4,
Ruined the App with Update
Ever since they overhauled the app I have had issues with it. Struggle to share pictures via text message, majority of the time when it shows the picture in the text it is blacked out, or partially blacked out so top half of image is black and bottom half is the actual image. I end up having to attempt to send the image several times to get it to work

Also, it appears the option to save the image to my photos is no longer available?
