A personal trainer in your pocket!
I love this app! I’ve been using it for two years now. I love how you can log the weight and reps of various exercises. It’s a fantastic way to see your progress! I will say, the one the thing I’ve never used, is the meal plans. I’ve taken a look at them before. It looks great, but I already have my own version of meal prepping that I do. However, I’d recommend trying out the meals for a bit. Even if it’s just once or twice a week. They look super tasty and easy to make!

Overall, I strongly recommend this app. It’s worth the money. It has everything from different exercises, meals plans, even water intake! It’s personalized to what YOU need. I’m telling you, stick with the plan, and you will absolutely see a difference.

As a side note, there are thousands of apps that you can find that help with your fitness goals. The main reason why I chose this app is because I like Lisa and Romane. I’ve followed Lisa for a couple years now and I think she is a very genuine person. She’s not arrogant, she doesn’t judge people, and she truly cares about the people that look up to her. Plus, the couples workouts that they do together as super cute and very fun to try with my boyfriend!

Great but glitchy
I’ve been using the app for about a week. I love the workouts and appreciate the flexibility of gym vs home workouts. I do find the app to be a little glitchy though. The screen in the app seems to extend beyond where it should on my phone, so sometimes I get stuck on a workout page and have to click the back button 15 times before the screen will actually go back. I also wish the workouts were set up as circuits. I’ve been doing them as circuits and I just go back and enter the reps and weights after I complete them all, but just sort of wish the app had a circuit option vs doing all sets of each workout back to back. When I do the workouts as a circuit on my own, I tried entering the reps after I did a set of each workout but it wouldn’t save. For example, I’ll do 20 squats, enter them, go back to main workout page, go to next workout move, let’s say it’s 20 lunges, I’ll do those, enter them and then go back to the main page and so on. When I come back to the start of the “circuit”, the reps I entered will be gone and I’ll have to enter them again, so I’ve stopped entering them after each workout and I just wait until I do the whole workout before entering the numbers. Not a huge deal but this app costs more than my gym membership so just little things I’m hoping will be improved over time. I really like the workouts so I’m going to stick with it for the full month to see how it goes.

Amazing but
I usually don’t review and app but this one is worth it. I started to follow Lisa like 1 year ago and started with her workout at home, also I was following another fitness girl in IG (silvyaraujo) I’m not kinda comparing both but I have to say that Lisa has a perfect distribution of the routine. If you don’t change the options of the exercises, the routine will keep you pushing every single set and you’ll feel every muscle of your routine so hard!!! I really loved that. I’m training with the apps for 2months now and I can’t feel more in love. Is helpful and easy. Now talking about the meal plans (that’s why I said “BUT”) this section needs to improve a looot. I mean, this plan is really general. You’ll take a bit longer if you don’t focus also in the amount of Carb, Protein and Fat for each meal. Seems like these 3 facts always change everyday but if you have an specific objective you need to always have the same amount. I don’t know but for me also when I don’t want to cook my snack I just grab some quick food like a piece of chocolate. I know the brand and everything but you can add any meal in the app so maybe is something that they really should improve. For make a meal plan you also need measurements of waist, legs. Only the weight and amount of activity doesn’t let you know how much kcal u need to ingest. Anyways, tysm for this app! I know you’re doing your best💓⭐️

Needs to be more U.S. and meal prep friendly
LOVE this app because of its ability to customize workouts and meals. If I don’t like a certain food, I can easily change it out for another meal that doesn’t have it. That feature is so perfect.
The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because of the measurements in the grocery list and the fact that I can’t access the grocery list for the next week. The measurements are mostly in grams, and in the U.S., we tend to buy many things by ounces or pounds. It’s a hassle to constantly convert the measurements, so I would love an option for ounces and pounds. Also, I like to meal prep for the week on Sundays, but I can only see the grocery list for only the week that I’m in. Unless I’m wrong and the grocery list just happens to be the same for these two weeks. Anyways, please allow me to access the next week’s grocery list so that I can shop ahead of the week and meal prep!
Another thing that came to my mind is that the app doesn’t update my grocery list whenever I switch out a meal. I hate bananas, so I switch every meal with banana for something. Even though I did that, my grocery list still has banana listed. I don’t think it changed the amounts for other items that I need in my list. If this doesn’t change, I may have to follow other meals. I really don’t want to though because all of the food seems so good (except for bananas).

In (healthy) love!!
I first started following Lisa on Instagram and instantly fell in love with her workouts. I have a bad shoulder so the fact that she gives options on how to tailor your workouts to fit your specific needs is fantastic. Once the pandemic hit I struggled to find an all inclusive and motivating workout that actually gave me results. The absolute best thing about the STRNG app (formerly Strong & Sexy) is that for a completely affordable cost you get access to tons of workouts (I hate doing the same workout every day)that you can customize. On top of that, you get a customized meal plan and shopping list. The main reason I’ve never stuck with a food plan is because of all the work I had to do on my own to figure out what to buy, how many macros are in each meal, and the lack of options. This is most definitely not the case with the STRNG app. I could literally go on for days about how much I love this app. I’m 2 months into using it and I feel the strongest and leanest I’ve ever been in my life! For once I can look in the mirror and appreciate my body and the work I’ve put into it! Thanks Lisa💕

Beware of this app!
I would not recommend this app! I follow both peloton and Les Mills and pay for both. I found this on Instagram and it looked promising and had a free 2 week trial so I decided to try it. After putting in all my info and trying the app for the first time I immediately knew it wasn’t for me. This is for a beginner who has no idea where to start. You have no class to follow and their meal
Prep is very generic, simple diet plan. The “classes” are a simple paragraph explaining how to do the move and a not so exciting video to follow so you know you’re doing it correct and a timer you start yourself. Maybe if you’re in the gym all the time that might be a fun setting but for at home, it’s a no for me. Long story short I tried canceling my subscription to find out that also is NOT an easy task! After searching for an hour and getting the run around from their app I contacted them via messenger on IG and they were nice and said they cancel it for me not even 10mins later they had an excuse about how they couldn’t find me in their system so I so kindly screen shot my account with my email and giant lettering that stated I was an active subscriber. That’s when they finally walked me through how to cancel it through the apple App Store. You can’t even cancel it on their website or app. It’s a joke and borderline scam! I do not recommend this app, look into Les mills or even peloton has great programs.

A lot of technical issues
The load time is slow. There lots of issues with the ability to put in reps and weights the cursor will jump around not allowing you put in the right information where it goes. You have to wait for an entire rest timer to count down before the completion and back to the work out button pops up. The back button is also frequently unresponsive. I spend more time closing this app out and restarting than I do anything else. These issues seem to be everywhere but even worse for the guides versus the regular workout plan. I would be very upset and demanding a refund if I had paid full price. These issues were never this bad prior to the app become the Strong app. There is also no place to report these issues in the app. There are so many lags and technical issues there should be a quick way to report them.
There are also issues with the picture of the work outs not matching the description but that’s not the biggest issue and easily caught if you just pay attention in the app. Some of the work out under the guides tab will have the exact same workout and reps twice and there is no way to switch them.
If you’re super eager to be able to keep track of your workouts, reps, and weight then I would not purchase this app until they get more of the kinks worked out.

Love it
I’m loving this app. I haven’t been able to fully commit to a exercise plan or any exercise app. This I have been going for 2 weeks now and before this was just her videos on IG. I love it and it helps me focus.

I have been running through some app glitches. I went in to document my reps for cable pull through and it only gave me a blank screen. When I have switched some of the workout because I’m unable to do the default ones. The one I picked shows up but when clicked on, it goes back to the default. I tried going in to my account settings with the avatar outline and it won’t let me click on it. When I’m on a workout set in the app, it won’t let me click back to previous page. I have restarted my phone and I got the iPhone 13 so everything is current. No changes at all after turning on and off. Other than that I love the app and the simplicity of usage.

I would like for her to add in when to breath in and breath out during the workouts. And when to flex/hold your core or muscles being used. Like when doing glutes, you’ll want to squeeze those glutes at some point during the exercise. Another, is best positioning to ground yourself better.

Awesome App!
I’m one week into the app and loving every second of it! I love that I can switch things around and customize based on my needs that day and my lifestyle and that I can add on if I want a little extra burn. I haven’t tried the meal plan yet mainly because I downloaded the app after I had already gone food shopping but the meals look so good. I haven’t worked out on a serious basis for almost 2 years when I was going to CrossFit consistently and it’s sad but 6 days is the longest stretch of workouts I’ve done since then without just giving up after day 2 or 3 and putting it off for “tomorrow” and then 6 months passed and “tomorrow” never came. A few features I think would be really helpful to add are the ability to see a dashboard with your historical workout data so that you can access any time, how long each workout to to complete so you can compete against yourself for reps and time and how many days you’ve worked out or a timeline of your activity. I think the more factors that add to motivation to keep going the better! So excited to continue using the app and keep my body healthy and strong!

Frustrating App Experience
I have been waiting to give a review because I have been having what seems like unique issues with this app since it’s revamp. (I also had issues with the first iteration of the app but it’s not worth discussing here.)

I give the workouts a 5 star. But ever since the new app came out, I have had problems. From switched workouts not being included in my workout totals, reviewing an already completed workout and having the time being removed, to an overall frustration with the length of time it has taken to get a response to one technical ticket is beyond frustrating. For example, I submitted my ticket in December 2021, the issue is still occurring and even though I was told I wouldn’t be charged, I still got charged 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️. While this isn’t super expensive, the fact that a lot of the functionality is missing, makes this just feel like an expensive workout tracker. I’m so frustrated and getting ready to cancel my subscription after the next six months. Please, fix your tech issues and have a better response time. Our time and money is being put towards this and to not have it work for basic things, just makes it worse.
