I downloaded this game a few days ago. In that time, I tried to play six games. Only two of them have been completed. One of them was begun on TUESDAY of last week (it’s Sunday night) and is still waiting to complete. What this says to me is the developers didn’t think through the online aspect of this at all. People play games when they have free time, and expect the game to begin and end in a reasonable amount of time and have fallbacks for if a player drops mid-game or doesn’t take a turn in a timely manner, such as having default auto-generated answers that the game provides on a player’s behalf if the player doesn’t provide them. There are so many PVP games on the market that successfully account for this that could be used as a model. There should be a timer to name the colors— say, one minute per color— and it shouldn’t be turn-based. Everyone should be naming colors in the same four-minute timeframe. Once the names are in, at the four minute mark or sooner, everyone should get the names sent to them immediately and should, again at the same time, have thirty seconds per color to pick the best answer. At the two minute mark, the winner is selected. Why is the game turn-based in a way where games are held up by players who leave and never come back? This isn’t a new or experimental idea so it should be easy to follow best practices for this style of gameplay in games already on the market. If that can get revamped, I think this game could be a lot of fun. It’s just not right now.
