SyncKontrol offers owners of Korg's monotribe Analogue Ribbon Station precise tempo control, plus the ability to sync their monotribe to WIST (Wireless sync) enabled apps!
SyncKontrol allows you to control the tempo and start/pause of the monotribe Analogue Ribbon Station via the audio output of your iPhone. The app also offers Tap Tempo, a Swing function, and WIST (Wireless Sync-Start Technology) to sync monotribe to WIST-enabled apps such as Korg's iMS20, iELECTRIBE and iELECTRIBE Gorillaz™ Edition. In addition, this application receives sync from Mac based DAW software by receiving MIDI clock and play/stop commands via Wireless Network MIDI*.
Korg's monotribe is a new form of synthesizer that packs an amazing array of features and technology into its compact body. The monotribe shares the analog synthesizer voice of the in-demand Korg monotron, yet quickly delves deeper into the rich, organic, and often chaotic world of analog synthesis. In addition to analog synthesis, monotribe brings together intuitive ease of use and a three-part discrete analog rhythm section, plus the proven appeal of Electribe-style sequencing. Complete with a built-in speaker and battery power, monotribe is self-contained and highly portable.

It has midi clock
Haha you ppl are silly you can get midi clock thru sync kontrol, not WIST without opening up or saudering or buying any adapters, you just need an idevice, the app and..... Ha you figure the rest out I had to, I NO LIE!

it kills my battery!
Tried the app and worked fine but later I saw the app was running on the background non stop after closing it and it drained my battery for about 7 hours , someone needs to fix that.

Works great, but watch out: even when not playing it's a constant drain on your battery. Be sure to close it fully!

I have been using this since November and it it works great.
It is a must have for anyone with a Monotribe that is trying to sync up with other band members!! My buddy and I synced our Monotribes together and controlled them with this app and had no problems!!!
To the person who is griping about midi
controls on the Monotribe-- you can buy a midi adapter kit for about 120 bux and take your Tribe apart and put the midi controller in. A pain but it will give you midi!!
This app does everything I need it to do. It should however let people know about updates to their Monotribes. I updated my Monotribe to 2.0 about two months ago but if this app happened to drop a reminder that would be fabulous!! Lol..
There is no reason not to get this app of you own a Monotribe.

Huge battery drainer!
Be sure to force quit this app when you're not using it, because otherwise it will sap all the juice from your battery. Not sure why it does this but I've tested it on multiple iDevices and they all suffer the same fate. Any hope for an update that remedies this issue?

So, I haven't tried it yet, but Korg gets 5 stars from me for even making an App that will work with there MonoTribe. Thanks for trying some thing interesting Korg!!!

Rock-solid. Swing feature opens up a lot of possibilities. Ran a monotribe from my iPad, and synced a friend's running iMS20 and it all worked together nicely!!

WIST does not work in iOS8 ... FIX please!!!
This exactly what I need to close the gap between my TA Pocket Operators and my midi clock, and though it can control tempo and sync to the POs just fine, WIST doesn't work with iOS8 on an iPhone 6. Could be so great for so many products beyond the monotribe and volcas, if only WIST worked I'd give this 5 stars!!! PLEASE FIX

Other uses too!
Not only does it help the monotribe sync with your DAW but it can trigger other analog devices such as the korg mono/poly's arpegiator.
