StefanoP86,
Game is awesome but adverse events are an issue
As the title says. I’m all for incidents that shake up the gameplay but the frequency is very high. I keep getting dead settlers and broken down facilities which I can’t afford or can barely afford to repair. You need to cut down the frequency a good 50% considering that the game already has timers for research, exploration, construction etc and adding too many adverse events is essentially making the game frustrating for no reason. I get that you want the game to be exciting but you already developed a hybrid between a city builder and an idle game, which worked out fine, but its mechanics are incompatible with rts-style emergencies which need to be dealt with immediately or you lose because yeah, it doesn’t work. On a side note, I noticed the same thing lately on the original TerraGenesis. I started the latest scenario, Europa, and in the span of an hour got hit with three separate terrorist events that destroyed multiple buildings in the only city I could found. As scenarios are timed, I just abandoned it since there was no way to build up the credits reconstruct everything.
An Independent Patriot,
Need to make some changes
Let me start by saying that it’s a good game. I do have a bit of advice. You will use your brain to build in this game. You really have to plan out what you are going to do and the placement of the building’s. It’s like it would be in real life if on Mars. However I have PROS and CONS. PROS: You can make the layout any way you wish. You can choose what you wish to research as long as you meet the requirements for it. You can get the credits and the GP by watching the ads but you don’t have the obligation to watch them. The tutorial is helpful but as part of the CONS it’s a little redundant. Making you do it again when you start a new game. CONS: One major CON is the AI. The events in which you have your settlers start falling and you can’t replace quickly enough. Some of the building cost is high at first and you don’t have enough time to get resources before the “ disgruntled employees” event hits. Not enough tutorial for how to make your settlers happy. IMPROVEMENTS: Should be able to have closer first mining sites for the rovers. Have more ways to make in-game currency. Another words be able to sell your resources if need be. Have the ability to turn off the tutorial if you have already done it. Have the tutorial help you until you place the Trade Hub. Fix the AI on the randomness of the employees getting hart. Have the ability to help the injured employees with an infirmary. Other than the PROS and CONS and improvements. The game overall is good.
Med Tech,
It’s gotten better, but no updates in months.
Updated: the game has definitely gotten better, but still glitches that put you in an endless cycle of not being able to get your colonist happy enough the progress the game (Shackleton Crater). The game does not always recognize that you have completed a challenge, or it wants you to build and arcade/gym, but you have already built your max for the scenario. Demolishing the said structure and rebuilding does not work either, and you end up with permanent negative effects on your game. Hence preventing further progression of the game. No updates in 3 months. Hopefully one is coming soon to fix these issues.

I am a huge fan of the original game, but this game barely functions. You start working through the tutorial and building your first structures, and then it asks you to give your first speech. Then you’re stuck in a loop to build a command center, to which you’ve already built, and cannot access any other menu. It seems to be an issue if you try to access your colony from another device on Game Center. I also don’t think NASA has lost 40 people in its 50+ years of being in operation, and not 40 in one day of playing this game. It has potential, but there are some serious glitches that need fixed to get it there.
CatPerson1029,
Confusing and Money-taking
Hello! Whoever is reading this review I hope is having a great day. I don’t mean to be criticizing this app, this is just my honest opinion. Enjoy!

Even with the tutorial, this game is quite confusing with the numerous buttons and controls. Along with this, you can play for 2 minutes and you have to wait 5 hours for a rocket to launch or for something SIGNIFICANT to happen. So I’ll be playing for a few minutes after school or something, and next thing I know the game becomes as dry as the Sahara. Also, right from the start screen, they basically have you agree for them to steal your data to show you personalized ads, which I do not need thank you very much. Additionally, all the things you have to build or let happen require GP (genesis points), steel, and more in-game currencies which can be difficult to obtain. I don’t feel like paying 2 precious bucks out of my pocket for 20k extra GP. Although, if you are very interested in a more difficult and strategic game, I believe you should download this game.
Thank you so much for reading my review, and I truly hope this helps someone looking for an extra game to play on their device.
Failed Martian,
Buggy with annoying random events
While the gameplay is engaging, there are several annoying things about the app that makes it ultimately unplayable. In the game, you can earn credits by watching ads. Unfortunately, the bugs with the ads kick you out of the game and you lose that last 3 to 4 minutes of actions you did before you started to watch the ads.

However, that’s not the thing that makes this game unplayable. The random events are. You can be in the middle of upgrading a building, assigning a worker or deciding what to research next when a random event window interrupts what you’re doing. So you either have to deal with the random event immediately and lose track of what you were doing when it popped up or ignore it and then figure out what needs to be fixed later.

Most random events are just annoying, like losing some progress on your research or some supplies. However, there are some that will make you lose the game (unless you pay for an in-app purchase to deal with it). I was hit with an event that killed six scientists and damaged multiple solar panels and oxygen generators at the same time. As a result, I couldn’t generate oxygen, water or food and had only two minutes to fix it. Since it takes at least five minutes to get a ship with more people from earth to mars, I lost. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.
GTA Playzz,
Fun but there are major problems…
This game is something I’ve been looking for, but unfortunately it’s quite honestly unplayable at its current state. The game constantly forces you to restart due to its plethora of unlucky events at you, these events can span from a minor power outage to a critical oxygen plant failure. How do you fix this events? By sending your rocket all the way back to earth to get a repair kit, if you’re lucky. You might be able to save you colony, but if not, you need to restart. These repair kits are one of the biggest issues, they are expensive and extremely hard to get (let alone keep). The expensive part wouldn’t be too bad if the game didn’t force you to spend all your credits at the start of the game, you are basically living off small scraps of credits from advertisements for most of your start, but as soon as you make a little stash of money, a catastrophic event hits forcing you to spend it all for a repair kit or some other stupid reason. This game basically never gives you any rewards and keeps you begging for more scraps, that is of course if you don’t purchase premium currency or more credits. This game is a waste of time and it’s aggravating, wouldn’t recommend downloading it at its current state, as it basically forces you to whip out your wallet in order to progress.
pickle fase,
Needs a pretty lot of improvement for this game
It needs a bit of improvement this game but I still have it so I still play it. It’s not that I ask because all you do in the game is like choose something. Put it in a spot in the game. Just build it for you. It’s not that much used for it and it just doesn’t make sense to me because we have to overdoing is placing stuff somewhere and it doesn’t really do any good for us but when it the first time I started playing it, I liked it and then I keep playing it was like this is boring but it kind of doesn’t make sense because all you’re doing really is just putting something there it’s just build it for you don’t really get to do anything I’d like else give it a five star if you would just like to do this where you get to create your own character and do stuff around the place, but since it doesn’t, I don’t really get it don’t really get it. It just doesn’t make sense. Sorry but doesn’t it doesn’t it is just if we could make creator of character it would be better better.
not happy with gambling games,
Fun, but nerve wracking so many unlucky events
Finished the first scenario, built a large city. Game got super laggy at this point. The first scenario i had to restart the game a few times. Started the second scenario The Storm, oh man did you ratchet up the difficulty level by a factor of 10, calamity after calamity. Zapping your resources quickly, im on 4th restart but the unlucky events keep coming. Im ready to rage quit. Spent $10 bucks and the unhappy settlers keep stealing from me. So tell me what are these settlers doing with repair kits? They arent applying them to the city? So they steal the repair kits and the oxygenator fails and everyone dies from lack of oxygen. What are they doing with the other materials they steal? Food and water i can imagine stealing. I want space jail or the ability to kick them out of the airlock. Than the mining shuttles blow up or crew dies, yeah its really frustrating. Going to take a break and come back and restart again. Many bugs in this game, buttons are small or overlapping forcing to use the speedups by accident. Crafting is lop sided, repair kits and chips, someone else mentioned. Trying to pause production doesnt seem to work.
Auditor916,
Amazing - but one thing
The puzzle of settlement building is great and implemented well. I could easily spend ages building up one city. There are bugs but that’s to be expected, it’ll get ironed out. I wish there was a reason to play a city out longer other than just for the fun of it, perhaps an end game research lets you get an officer shard or something - after you’ve already researched everything else available.

My only problem with the game is the daily challenge townhall thing.

The daily challenges are cool, I love the idea of being able to change your settlement with permanent buffs based on how you play. However - it’s incredibly problematic when the challenges are impossible. For example: I had build an arcade - I already had the maximum number, so I destroyed one and built another. Unfortunately that doesn’t count, I suppose the game saw I owned 3 when it started the challenge and is waiting for me to have 4. My settlement is slowly failing simply because of repeated impossible challenges.
JaxonGG,
Potential
I started playing this through TerraGenesis and was super excited but it just kind of fell short. I’m writing this after having to restart my city after about a week of struggling to understand my objectives in the first place. I have no clue what went wrong, a new day rolled over and I just had multiple catastrophic failures. This game has potential but for me it’s just confusing not really knowing what to do next. The only objectives were exploring the same 3 types of places or population. The random events also kill off your engineers like pests, I had no chance to grow when I was too busy waiting on replacements. There should be a way to make your facilities more safe. Honestly it got boring very quick. when I did finally figure out what I need to do to progress a little bit the UI made it difficult to see the resources I needed and how to get those resources. Switching between the interfaces was also just kind of clunky and tedious. Maybe I just didn’t last long enough for things to become really interesting but those are my struggles
