Just when you thought your luck would never change, it comes to your attention that a loot from the West’s biggest outlaw - Mad Dog Black Jack- that contains gold, jewels, and gemstones is hidden near an old abandoned mine town on which you grew up.
However, it is also said that over this treasure lies a terrible curse that ensures a terrible fate to anyone who gets ahold of it. Luckily for you, you’re a man who doesn’t believe in such things and you think that an outlaw probably came up with the curse to scare bounty hunters like you off.

cuzitsthere,
meh
Bumped rating up to 4 stars since can't give half star and would have preferred to give 3-1/2 (or even 3, maybe) stars. Liked some of this but not most. Like the ghost town setting but there was so much back and forth and some clues made little to no sense in relation to puzzles or problems/tasks to solve, while other solutions were super obvious, that I didn't find it particularly engaging. Almost decided to just delete it without finishing but played a little more and got interested enough, or maybe just progressed enough, to see it through to the end. Would have liked to have the option to be able to take photos of certain clues when I wanted--some clues were automatically added to the notebook but others that I'd have liked added were not.
KimTwilight69,
A Great Trip to the Old West!
Wow! What an exciting exploration of an authentically presented town in its perfectly preserved splendor, dating back to the time of the pioneering American Frontier. I laud this rare opportunity of traversing through Old Western-styled buildings and structures, such as a barbershop, a saloon, and a bank. The visuals are in true-to-life form, with an eerie realism that creates an uncanny anticipation of what puzzlement I might next discover in this desolate place. The amount of items to collect in each scene is sparse; however, if you are the type who prefers to abstain from using the Hint feature, your journey will be prolonged. My favorite type of genre is an alluring escape adventure in which you must use critical-thinking skills to progress, rather than exhaustively poking around; this one does not disappoint me. You will examine and cross-reference clues to solve puzzles, and this approach adds a challenging aspect to gameplay instead of solely locating items. I appreciate that this developer consistently releases glitch-free games. My only gripe is that a teleport map is needed to obviate the extensive and tedious back-and-forth travel since the landscape is significantly vast. Overall, I highly suggest this gem; and I wish this developer would release more games soon!
Keybordz,
Props for Old West flavor, not much else
Not too many Old West-themed PNC's out there so I'm being generous with the rating here, but very little in the way of narrative urgency. Puzzles are run-of-the-mill, though I was motivated to learn how an abacus really works (of course, I still didn't get its implementation here).

This game could really use a hint system with all the traversing back and forth. The map doesn't isn't a huge help since it doesn't allow you to automatically jump to the spot clicked on.

This developer seems to have good concepts for titles, but after playing most of them I just don't find them compelling.
realityshowjunkie,
It's good but needs better player support
I liked this game but not as well as I've liked other Mediacity games. I got really stuck on a two occasions and the hints given didn't apply to where I was at in the game. Sometimes the hints showed what I had already done or provided hints for where I had not even gone. I was able to see a hint in the app preview video and got the other by going in and out of hints many times until I found the hint that applied to what I needed. Wish there was a walkthrough somewhere. With that said, I would buy it again as I love this type gameplay. Most puzzles are a challenge without being impossible.
Blichty,
The media city games are ok.
I've played a TON of point and click games and while these are ok, my one issue is the auto logging of a clue. It makes it way too easy. Half of the fun is determining what the clues are, but if the game tells me right away, what's the point? Check out Facility47- that game is perfect. Or any of the Glitch games, nothing given at all. Something to consider on the next one!
ally555,
Awesome!
For anyone who loves point and click adventure games... this is one to get! And I like playing these types in one sitting as to get the full feeling of immersion. And this old western ghost town definitely takes you back in time.

I had to use the hint one time (didn't know I had to find the word for the typewriter). The hints are there within the menu, but the hint layout is clunky. The hints are organized by topic...which is not how the game is played. So had to flip through lots of hints to find what I was missing. Still...a great adventure game!
Hippohumongous,
Fun so far
There is a bug where entering the keyword into the typewriter doesn't work. There is no audible confirmation that it was solved (like a ding like the other puzzles) and the table does not open up and nothing else in the room changes. As much as I want to, I'm not able to finish this game ☹️

[UPDATE] Ok per the game dev, this has been fixed. Sesame worked! Thanks! Just updated my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars

Cowboy Blues
Mosey on past this tedious flop. The “puzzles” are nonsensically irritating as you try to figure out what the hell the developers were thinking; no rhyme or reason to any of it- just try to “figure it out”.

You’ll know what I mean when you get to the briefcase “clue” which incidentally is where I was forced to stop; the numbers in the clue do not open the briefcase, not to mention the atrocious bug that prevents you from swiping the numbers properly.

It’s a shame really because “point and click” games have inordinate potential... yet this one is strangled at the mercy of atrociously bad puzzles and subpar graphics.
Whoanell,
Can’t believe this is a Mediacity game
I purchased this game with high hopes of it being as entertaining and polished as the other Mediacity games, but was sorely disappointed.
I found the clues, storyline, and visuals to be tedious and the music extremely irritating. The first thing I did was to turn off the music. I found myself accessing the Help feature in an effort to hurry the game to its finish and end the frustration. But when I got to the giant rock and discovered that I was unable to place the items called for near the base, I decided to just quit.
I sure hope that future games will be an improvement on this one!
Waste of time!
Casual mode,
Well done 👍🏼
So glad to see a new game from MediaCity! Just as fun and unique as the others, game mechanics are perfectly executed, no hand holding..hints are there if needed but it's perfectly doable with no hints.

Devs..I have one request..pls offer a dynamic (quick transport) map in future games.

Always happy to support MediaCity through paid games, just hope we don't have to wait so long for the next one! Thank you!
