Anon Ymos,
Great game, but...
Like the other review mentions, nothing is entirely intuitive. Which is annoying, but it's extremely compelling for replays because of it as you constantly second guess yourself.
Sometimes the second guessing is annoying and some situations are forced for the sake of plot, in a way undermining some choices you may make to be the best.
The game is modeled after raising children and complicated by politics. A wonderful combination.
JaclynL85,
Really Enjoyable!
What a great escape this game was! The writing was so well done and the story so immersive. I've played a few games like this in the past but I always felt like every question might punish me and make me regret my decisions. With The Last Monster Master I instead felt like the game flowed and changed with my decisions which felt like a much more connected experience for me. Really enjoyable. But, there was one part I felt regret over, I didn't train one monster perfectly and genuinely felt awful about it--Oh poor Wadigu, I AM SO SORRY! It was my fault completely! I definitely look forward to replaying this game again sometime soon!
Monoski1,
Totally worth the price
The last monster hunter probably has to be one of my favorite choose your own path books to date, and it's because of 2 things. The amazing endings and the fact that every choice does matter. If you make a bad choice such as you treat a character rudely it's going to come back and bite you for it. But it doesn't mean that this game is hard, it's just that when you play this your going to have to think before you choose something instead of playing without taking a moment to think.

Just Me Whining
I'm still a Choice of Games fan, but I'm just not that fond of Last Monster Master. This game is not that intuitive (which I suppose, since it's sort of modeled after raising a child, would make sense, but still annoying). Another point is that the game creates this absolute that you must play favorites with your monster students which was equally as my playthrough involved my favored monster having lower affinity due to my stats. All in all, I was not impressed with this game, but still looking forward to Choice of Games's next publishment.
CommodoreVillefort,
Entertaining
Well written story and very entertaining, just what I've come to expect from Choice games.
My only two complaints is that the ending felt a little quick, would have been nice to have more after the final showdown.
Also, the main villain seems to be the same and have the same motives no matter what you do in the game.

Missing something
Worth reading but the story is missing something that I can't nail down into words. So I gave a 4 out of five.
Newmag143,
Love this game, one little issue though
I absolutely LOVE it this game, I tried the first few chapters online, and I figured I'd buy it. The only problem is (SPOILER ALERT) the horse looking monster is almost inevitably over attached unless you are really mean to her 😥. Other than that, pretty awesome game, it's worth the 3$ and more 😄
Ksrgirl,
My 2nd favorite!!
I've probably played all Choice of Games, and this game is just under Choice of Mobster. This game is my second absolute favorite, if you like Choice of Games, I really recommend this game.
Gahoolain,
Best. Game. Ever.
I have played this game to many times to count and I never get the same outcome! Its probably my favorite game ever, characters are relatable, and every choice matters.
