Thursday: The Day For Dating Hack 1.23.0 + Redeem Codes

So I’ve been following the app for months and decided to finally give it a try, frankly I forgot about it. So I setup my profile, verified my identity, and paid for a subscription. I was hopping for a bigger pool of women/possible matches but within NYC there were only 40 within my search parameters.

I love the idea of the app, and I do think it has a lot of potential. I haven’t matched with anyone yet but I do like the idea of one day to either make it or break it... it gets rid of the classical two weeks of talking until you decide to ghost each other spontaneously...

The more people that join the app, the better it will be in my opinion. Kudos to the developers.

While I love the concept and their marketing - it involves BOTH parties to agree to the concept, otherwise the app doesn’t really work.
I find myself connecting with people but having a hard time in the limited hours to connect, find a date and then execute said date. It’s like Thursday applied the UBER model to Hinge.

It would be far better if you could match with people during the week and then on Wednesday, you saw your matches and on Thursday you could begin chatting. That would allow me to open the app and play around with during the week. Otherwise, it’s a dumb concept that will fail.

Beyond the, the “membership” add on is a huge waste. I don’t see the value of paying so much for using this 4 days out a month. On other dating apps, I typically match with people on tuesdays and Wednesday and make plans for Thursday.

All in all, Thursday took a cool idea but executed horribly. People who say “yes” to dating on Thursday are either unresponsive or out and about and don’t have time to chat with someone at the bar. They need to expand their parameters and allow users to use the app on other days with the idea that we go out on Thursday - otherwise it’s basically just a nice UI concept app parading around as a hook up app.

Please implement so more changes, make the membership worthwhile and price accurately and add more other flavors to the app that will really distinguish yourself from the Hinges and Bumbles of the world.

I went to an event for the first time last night, I’ve been on the app for 2 weeks. The concept is cool but the dating pool is not. From my home location it was matching me with guys that work in my area as bartender’s, construction workers, and line cooks. The event was so loud and had a creepy vibe to it. It was exactly the type of place I would usually avoid, but would probably have tolerated in my 20’s.
I paid $15 for the upgrade and got absolutely nothing. You can’t see all your likes at once and you can’t keep messages so there is an urgency for the guy to get your number asap instead of chatting first. Canceled my subscription and will probably just check it every once in awhile to see if the dating pool has improved, but definitely not going to the events unless they have a 30+ one in a more chill environment

This app is problematic. Before you can get started you need to complete a face screening to confirm you are a real person. The process should be simple - 1) you take a photo of yourself 2) you upload an ID. However it’s not simple if you are darker skinned or Black. The app did not match my face and ID after multiple attempts. I deleted app and tried again with no luck. This continued for weeks. The customer service ticket was broken so no way to communicate the issues. I finally reached out to their Instagram team who told me to keep trying. This app is poorly designed and quite frankly excludes folks based their skin color.

After having to upload ID + selfie 10x, got scammed into zero filter Tinder app—1. they want you to waste time sifting through everyone in the city ie short guys (no height filter), trade laborers/gig workers/dropouts/HD education ppl (no education level filter), ppl you’d never date (no ethnicity filter), etc

2. You have to click everyone on a map to see their profiles, then click to like/pass, then click to go back to see more (they wont show more until you like/pass). Even if they didnt only have 50 male users in Manhattan, you’d have to click 200x just to see + like or pass on 50 profiles. This is if clicking X button actually works + instead of showing ppl you just passed. Worse than not launching at all

3. They put your home location on the exact cross streets of a map, zero safety/privacy from stalkers/harassers to find you.

Regret giving my ID (ie DOB, state identifier, home address etc NOT online + prone to identify theft, you fake reviewer Katie) to ppl who don’t even know how to make a dating app despite many successful references, signaling they wont know how to protect it. If you sell my data bc you don’t know how to make $ w/ an app much less an app, MY LAWYERS + I ARE COMING FOR YOU

The concept is very similar to that of dating app Bounce, but I like that it’s only for one day so that you get a larger pool of people. What’s annoying is that if you click on a profile just to see what someone looks like, you need to instantly either like or reject them. You can’t just close them out - and “liking” implies you want to go out tonight when I just want to see my options first. Also it’s not super clear how to opt out for tonight after opting in just to see the potentials. Lastly, doesn’t seem to be a way to provide feedback within the app itself. I wouldn’t have left it in a review!

This is a great app for those that are tired of the standard dating apps and want to meet someone right away without the trials and tribulations of tinder, bumble and etc bring to dating. This app would be perfect in Las Vegas because there’s so much to do especially outside of the strip! It’s just very unfortunate that people that are in the Las Vegas area can’t use it and I’ve been on it for almost 4 months. I hope that you guys are working on making this a reality because I think that having the app active here in Las Vegas would be a game changer for the dating scene out here! Thank you.

The concept is great but it needs refinement to work well. Had 2 matches at 10pm but chats end at midnight, most people are slow to respond so what’s the point? Give 24hrs from a match at least. $20 boosted account seems to do nothing, messages a bunch of profiles with no response. 150 people were available in my radius, 8 showed up on my map, new people showed up when I would X’d each profile off the map or reloaded the app. No way to filter by height or other preferences. Radius is where you are at the moment, but if I work downtown and want to date uptown, I’m on a downtown radius which isn’t convenient. If the app changes, I’ll try it again, but for now, not worth it

Well I loved floating on the river and the moon and that’s about it. The music was horrible. It felt like a bad Bat Mitzvah or wedding dj. Unnecessarily loud and shrill. The drinks were waaay too expensive. $13 for a silly cup of gin and tonic. Seemed like the goal was to get us all on the boat and line us up to make money off drinks. There could’ve been some fun game stations set up or activities to get to know each other but it was just get on a boat and drink. The air conditioning was on inside when it was already cold outside. The ride was 3 full hours and My crew was done after hour one. The caliber of people seemed very low. Seemed like tinder in real life. I want a conscious, spiritual, successful man who isn’t all about the party life so this doesn’t seem like my scene.

When’s the last time you’ve been on a boat sailing around manhattan with a bar, beats, and a bunch of single people all looking to connect with each other? Thanks to Thursday, my answer is last night 💃🏼
What an epic night! Such a fun group, cool concept, and just really well executed end to end. I’d definitely recommend giving one of these events a go if you’re single and looking to meet new people!
Did I meet the love of my life? No. Did I get drunk and meet a bunch of awesome new people? Yes.
