“An interesting story... Simple fun.” - The New York Times

Timecrest is a young adult fantasy where you are the main character. A young mage named Ash contacts you frantically through a pocket watch connecting to your iPhone asking for your help. Ash’s world, Alyncia, is about to be destroyed by falling meteors, but you demonstrate the ability to save Ash’s world by turning back time.

There isn’t long to celebrate as Ash is suddenly being hunted by someone who informs you that you’ve done the impossible–your use of time magic has broken the rules of magic.

Whether you save the world or do something else, your journey will take you through wondrous places where you’ll meet people that will either become your friends or your enemies.

The decision to experience this game is yours, but if you do adventure in Alyncia, it will be the journey of a lifetime.

- MAKE YOUR CHOICE. Timecrest is a story where no path is the wrong one. Walk your own road and experience a satisfying story no matter what.
- EXPLORE A MAGICAL WORLD. Timecrest pulls no punches with big emotional moments and plot twists across over 640,000 words.
- EXPERIENCE FANTASY AND WONDER. Timecrest features an emotional custom soundtrack with 34 musical tracks to unlock.

What people are saying about Timecrest:

“The characters really do draw you in.” - Jamie Pauls

“It's not just a survival, yes/no–binary choice thing. It's like you're watching actual characters, actual people, living actual lives.” - Alex Hall

“Timecrest stands out.” - AFB, AccessWorld Magazine

“Worth a look–even if you’re not a fan of interactive fiction–as this is the best one so far.” - RNIB Connect Radio

Time has four specific rules. This update to Timecrest breaks the third rule.

We’ve rewritten Timecrest 1: Fated Connections entirely to bring it up to the level of adventure, mystery, and emotion that it has always deserved. With this update, we deepened the story and characters to the level of what we always imagined and wished they could be. There will also be some new Easter eggs since it’s the season. Lastly, we kept the structure the same so it will not affect the comprehension of future story for those that have completed their journey.

But for those who choose to take the journey again, a familiar, yet fresh new adventure awaits you.

This update adds around 120,000 new words. This brings Timecrest up to a whopping total of over 640,000 words. Timecrest 2: The Door also gets a fresh coat of paint as we’ve adjusted many scenes to match. This is also our biggest app update ever with over 50 new features and bug fixes, as well as adding animations and accessibility improvements for all to enjoy.

Ash opens the pocket watch, filled with hope. Will you respond?

New features (iOS):
- Chapters 1 to 6 have been completely rewritten, and we’ve made improvements to the text in Chapters 7 through 10.

- New Notices dialog. Added a “Mark All as Read” button.
- New fullscreen Settings menu.
- Notification system completely rewritten.
- New Help/FAQ page accessible from Settings.
- Added a social hub in Relationships, so you always have an easy link to access the community.
- Added a tutorial to prompt you to buy teleport orbs from the merchant.
- Added background sounds to more scenes.
- Added 5 Teleport Orb and 5 Aura Potion options in the merchant.

- Changed the order of “Fulgur” in the Music Player.
- A song is now named “Dragon Rider” unless you learn the Dragon Rider’s name.

Nevermancer,
Beautifully Created
I really appreciate the time and effort the developers put in this story to make it so spectacular. I still can’t believe that this awesome cream pie of an interactive storyline is free. The music soundtrack is superb; there’s just the right amount of peppy and outgoing, and deep and creepy. Ash is a wonderfully developed person, as well as all the other characters you’ll meet. You feel like you’re actually conversing with real people. Every decision you make affects what happens later in the story, and I’ve made many stupid decisions before I found my favorite timeline. The thought that goes into a world-build like this is enormous, and I just can’t thank the creators and developers enough.

On a side note, know that this game is not meant to be played in one or two days; it adds realism and suspense, as well as a connection to the characters. You can buy some stones (Tome Crystals) to speed up the time waiting, and I encourage you to do so, to help out the people who made this lovely chocolate milkshake! But waiting is also a good thing as well.

I can’t even remember how many run-throughs I’ve been through, but one at least at 9, and I’ve gotten new information almost every time in this story! I love it so much, 10/10 would recommend!
Renay1814,
Just Amazing
I personally have always been in love with “choose your own adventure” style books. I grew up with them and it’s always been a staple to my childhood. Sadly, as I’ve grown up through the years, there are less and less stories like this that are worth reading, I have looked through some apps that claim that they are choose your own adventure type stories, but it’s more like a choose your own death in 1min, or 5min. There’s no way that anyone can be entertained by those. With this app, it encapsulates you this great story to which you truly do get to dole out fate, you are able to choose what happens and your choices mean something else further along in the readings. This app is fantastic, not only do you get to enjoy the reading factor, you also get the gameplay with Morty and having an inventory where you can buy what you need to in order to keep Ash safe. This truly does deserve 5 stars, and anyone else that rated it lower just wasn’t looking for a good “choose your own adventure” styled app.
Animalgirlmep,
Timecrest...
I love this app. The text is beautiful, the characters are intriguing, and the story is amazing. Also, I haven’t read a single review that mentions the MUSIC! The music is amazing, and it is actually something that I listen to outside of playing the game. Also, a lot of people complained about the wait time. Three words. Rea list ic. I mean, you can’t expect him to just figure out how to cast a spell out of him air, can you? Sure, it does take a fair amount of time for him to accomplish some things, but that’s a small price to pay for the amazing story. It has made me laugh, cry, and want to help him beyond what I can say in the app. I read a couple of reviews saying that Ash is snobby and/or whiny. NOT TRUE. He is thoughtful, kind and empathetic, and I haven’t seen him whine in the entire story- and I’m at least three quarters of the way through! I am not trying to disrespect anyone’s opinion, I just wish some people would be a bit more empathetic. Overall, this is a great game, and I highly recommend that you get it.
Captivated Wanderer,
One of the best
I’ve never rated or even commented in any app in the AppStore. Ever. So this alone should mean quite a lot. This experience that you have with Ash is so captivating it’s phenomenal. He’s such a likable character that it almost makes you want to choose his side no matter what. Even if someone wanted to be a completionist it would be hard for them to choose the option that might hurt Ash (Physically or mentally).

Another thing I’d like to talk about are the crystals. I’ve never spent money in game for an AppStore game ever as well. However this game has left me on the edge of my seat so much I just couldn’t bear waiting till the next day. I just had to see what was going to happen! Or to by crystals to get to a different area or some such.

Overall it is an amazing story and just captivating experience. Would recommend to anyone willing to open themselves to a world of fantasy. Still can’t wait for the next part of this long journey! Keep up the good work!

Delighted and surprised
When I first stumbled across time to rest part two was already out. I have enjoyed playing this game tremendously. Ash can be stupid at times, and there were times when I wish I could’ve made a different choice, and I had a hard time trying to see if I can make Ashlin more spells, but apart from that it’s been a long fun and interesting ride. Now that part three is out I’m getting a little irritated, because I cannot Earn any points, I’m already at chapter 14 and I’m still at zero points, the only other thing that I would have to say that is a downside about playing this game, is the long wait times, and having to buy so many times crystal skip crystals, and it aura potions, and teleports orbs. It just gets a bit expensive after a while I think they should just make us pay for the game one time, and we can get the timer time crystals and all the other stuff as we need it. But if somebody can get in touch with me about how to get the points in part three it would be awesome.
greenghost919,
Best game ever....
This game is my absolutely favorite game on a phone. I have already got it on my other phone and still can’t believe how great it is. I personally don’t see a downside to this game. Some people might say the games times are bad but it really helps make it seem real, like it might say Ash is having a conversation for like 5 minutes which is reasonable. I love this game if you download it this game won’t be disappointing. Good luck and have fun.

Also later on in Timecrest 3. I’m having trouble getting relationship points with young Luther. It’s frustrating. He seems like he should be gaining relationship but he isn’t. I maybe just need to wait. But this is just getting sad. I haven’t gotten any at all. :/

Finally, why can I not use any of my resources (teleport orbs, gold, aura potions, and dispel ring) during Timecrest 3? I am not able to assist my counterpart whatsoever besides resurrection every once in awhile. I don’t know if this is intentional or bugged. But if it is intentional I would like to suggest a bit more interaction and assistance from the player to the characters. I feel like I’m not of very much use to them.

That is all. Thank you for this wonderful game. Please reply soon. <3
ChristineMoon,
Never the same twice
Easily one of the best text games I've ever played. It's free (no ads!), a great detailed story line- a scene may have 12 possible paths based on earlier choices. You'll want to replay with different choices as soon as you finish; these choices will determine who survives, and how everything goes.

The only downsides- time and money. You can wait 2-10 hours for Ash to explore, or buy a transport orb (3 days worth of in-game profit). In Part 2, you get injured frequently, each potion takes time to earn. Thankfully, the creators have hidden a few money-earning surprises in the game, as well as offer a weekly forum contest and a guaranteed 50 crystals for a quick weekly Twitter comment. All this in a free/ ad-free game!

Get it! You won't be disappointed.

Definitely Worth Playing
I think I love this game more than Lifeline.
I mean, yes, Lifeline has incredible stories (CrisisLine being my favorite in the series). But there’s not that much to do while you wait, and the story pretty much stays the same. Even if the choices show up in a different order, only a little portion of the events change.

In Timecrest, there’s more to do. Side stories to pass the time. Secret tools, depending on which path you take (used for current chapters, or possibly later in Part 3).
And the story changes slightly when you explore places in different orders, giving more info on certain characters. Even catching fragments of conversations you might not hear if you come too early/late.

Captivating
I am in LOVE with this app. Everything about it is beautiful and just so incredible!!! I can not wait for the third installment so I can find all the possibilities that lie in Ash’s future! Seriously an incredible app and by far the most immersive choose your own adventure-esque novel that I’ve found.

I do have one small complaint- the death of a major character was spoiled for me by the Timecrest Merchant in one of his little blurbs (I love reading those). And sometimes the text will glitch and a previous excerpt with overlay the current one- which can be fixed by closing the app and opening it back up. Other than that this game is absolutely amazing and I’ve been telling all my friends about it.
Nag!to Komeada,
Awesome game! Great developer/ developers
So, I love the game and I love the time put into it as well. Like most people I love free games with thought and effort put into them(it get kind of annoying when they only let you play the first chapter, getting you attached to the characters and storyline only to say you have to buy the rest)! The character Ash is well thought out and the writer creates an interesting interaction with the whole game! Plot twists come, characters develop, and you can build relationships! The only thing I would like to happen/ be changed is to earn some Time Crystals maybe when you finish a chapter or hit a goal. Then I would use them a lot more. Love the game!
