Fine but can’t get legendarys from packs
Ok great game but only contest let you get diamonds and that’s how you get legendarys pretty much in 2020 you had a chance too get legendarys and I got lucky and got one yes packs were more expensive and it was hard to get coins but you were able to get better cards and they had better art for the card I’m not saying the ones now are bad but not as good as back then the odds are like they are like 4x more then what they say just saying.

Topps is Pricing themselves out
Used to have fun in this app. Odds were fair to get a decent card and you didn’t feel the “need” to buy diamonds as often. You found always find a trade and usually end up with the card you wanted. I had fun interactions with others on the app who were true fans of the game of hockey and collecting.
More recently Topps has made it almost impossible to keep up wit collections…laziness in cards where you see same pictures being used on different sets. Legendary upon legendary cards with awards, forcing you to buy hundreds of dollars on diamonds just to keep up, but with pack odds and actual value of cards but equal to what you get. Many long time collectors are leaving due to costs, horrible people holding cards for ransoms and fear after seeing what happened to Kick. Some folks on here spent thousands per month and no longer get the card they want. This is either a result of greed for $ or terrible direction from someone at Topps. Either way, they are going to lose more loyalty and folks will stop dumping money in the app. If that’s the goal to just make this go away, then I don’t see Topps changing.

Worked once...kinda
Well for starters, I tried signing up with Facebook out of the options given but it wouldn’t work. Then all seemed fine when I just continued as a guest. The app worked when I was using it the first time I was ripping packs, collecting cards, crafting better cards, even though it was super confusing what the point was and the sets(like the red, green, white, among others). Eventually I just signed up with apple to keep the collections and whatnot. Unfortunately I’m going to have to delete it from my phone since I can never get past the loading screen anymore. It gets to 40% and then gives me an error message. Not a terrible app idea especially with the card collecting interest surge since the pandemic. Needs some work to make the collections/sets more laid out and clearer. I was confused if when I crafted the card I’d lose it from the collection and overall kind of confusing so I guess me not being able to log in is a blessing in disguise since I won’t be more confused by this app and the sets/collections.

Fun but deceiving.
I’d honestly give the app a 2.5 but that’s neither here nor there. My big grief is with the odds listed when ripping packs to find an super rare, iconic or legendary. I just ripped 200,000 coins worth of tribute packs & didn’t get a single “super rare” card.
I do appreciate the layout of the app. It’s easy to find your own cards by rarity which is something panini lacks in. I do also think topps can or should add an auction house. That would give the user the opportunity to try to get the cards they want without having to trade for them while also being able to gain coins to either buy single cards in the auction house or rip more packs. Trading is a nice feature but it doesn’t show users specific value in some of the rarer cards. With an auction house, it’s easier to gauge what other users expect/hold as value to cards like 1/1 or booklets.

It’s ok, but huge flaws
Topps Skate is fun, but it pales in comparison to Topps Bunt. The trading system in Skate
is terrible compared to Bunt (in Skate, you have no idea what others need). The odds shown in Skate to find inserts are wildly inaccurate - I just opened 27 packs in order to get one card that had 1:5 odds. Too many sets have the lowest value insert card as 1:10 odds or worse…I don’t want to open 270 packs to complete a 27 card set. Duplicate rates are awful…when you’re looking for thst last card for your set, you’ll accumulate 11 or 12 duplicates of 10 other cards. Topps Bunt really goes all out with new avatars every year (rookies, deaths, retired numbers, etc), and Bunt gives free coins for every big achievement throughout the year, whereas Skate does none of that. Topps Skate needs to connect a lot better with hockey fans, and it leaves a lot to be desired.

Suggestion
Love this app. Big hockey fan and this allows me to dive into the teams/players & look at stats. I have a suggestion that would, I think, improve the app. Is there a way in a next update you all could add music? Just like the NHL video games, I always loved the background music they’d play. Maybe that’s something you all could do too.
Keep up the good work with this app. Music would be a cherry on top (if ppl don’t want music, have a button in settings, just like in any other game, that you could turn off).

LOVE IT
I’m a huge hockey fan and it is a lot of fun to get to collect and trade cards with others! I check it multiple times a day and it’s become my favorite app on my phone! I do wish they had more giveaways like the other Topps card games which make it easier to collect coins. Also it would be nice if we could sell cards to others for coins or even back to the the store. I do like how they are active in packs and there are usually updates daily! Overall, great app for hockey fans!

I LOVE IT BUT...
I love this app I’m a huge hockey fan Florida panthers hockey fan to the exact and when I found this game I said “I’m going to try to find every panthers card I can” but when I went to my wish list thing I could not find Anthony Duclair and I found Hoffman do get me wrong Hoffman is my favorite player even though he switched to the blues I have a panthers jersey of him but when I search Hoffman they are all panthers not a single St. Louis blues Hoffman so maybe a little update add players but other than that I LOVE THIS app if your a hockey fan I recommend this app.

Freeze freeze freeze
I played on your app for a few weeks and had fun, but it kept freezing when I was either trying to buy a pack with gold or diamonds. And when I say freeze, I mean FREEZE! To the point where I would close the app, come back 4-5 hours later and it’s still frozen.
Very aggravating! Only way it can be unfrozen is to totally reboot my iPhone. I should also point out every time it deducted whatever I was using to make the purchase and didn’t ever give me any cards.
Tired of having to reboot my phone so many times a day, so I’ve deleted your app. Great idea, but has big issues! I won’t be back.

Great game, but one thing
Hey, i’ve been playing this game for a few years now and I absolutely love it! It is a must-have game for any hockey card collector! Just one thing, I think you should make missions give out more coins because I just want to have fun opening packs just to come see that i have 1.5k coins. So maybe can you make coins easier to get and packs less expensive? Thank you so much!
