Great customizable app
I use this with my 3 year old. Some of the sound cues are vague (blinds opening) but its great to be able to turn that off in settings until she is able to distinguish more challenging auditory concepts. Because you can customize, we were able to start with basic sounds (a bird, drums, a car) and progress to more challenging work (scissors cutting paper). It's fun for her and allows us to sit and work together as we discuss the various sounds and pictures. This is a keeper!

Great for teaching kids with autism
An awesome, rich resource for systematically assessing receptive language concepts for children with autism. I’m a behavior analyst and I find that children on the spectrum are more likely to respond to instructions presented on the iPad. It would be really cool if the app could log the child’s responses during a session and email it to me afterward, but it’s still excellent. I also love it that you can add your own pictures/sounds.

Clever!
What a wonderful app! I love the ability that it gives you to customize it and to even add your own concepts! Some of the sounds are not long enough so I just disabled them. The selection of sounds is super! I use this with my preschoolers and it is a big hit with them.

None of the sounds work
I have deleted and downloaded several times and the sounds still don’t work. I’ve checked audio levels turned off Bluetooth, tried everything I know to try to make it work. Sound works on all other apps but not this one. Very disappointing

Don’t buy this app! There is no sound like advertised! Totally disappointed. I also have an iPad.

Great Auditory and Visual App
The pictures are outstanding. It really has my 4 year old intrigued because it is so much more than....'what sound does the sheep make?'. This apps does cover animals, and vehicles, but it goes well beyond that to include everyday sounds in life i.e. like dishes being dropped and broken. In that sense, it's a bit of a cause and effect app. It could help children be perhaps more prepared for unexpected sounds which they have never been exposed to before as well. I have other apps by this developer and have not been disappointed yet. Keep up the good work!

Great and customizable!
I love these grasshopper apps. This one is good at strengthening listening skills. Some of the pictures& sounds are tricky, so I recommend that you play it yourself first, and then "turn off" any that you think may be too hard for your child, but don't be surprised if they figure it out anyhow! My mild-to-moderately impaired, 4.5 yr old autistic son, can play this well, with some modifications....it totally surprised him, and he had to stop and think about it for a second!

Amazing Alligator App.
I work with a special needs student, and he loves this app. It requires him to wait and listen to the sound as he studies the picture choices. If I know that the sound is outside of his experience ( 6 yrs old) I will replay it and describe what I think it is, which still requires him to study the images before selecting one. He is doing extremely well and it has increased his exposure to objects and animals he may not be familiar with.

After downloading this app, I skipped settings and went straight into play mode. As usual, it's a well made app with vibrant pictures and professional narration. Then I opened settings and was very, very pleased. Photos can be customized, groups chosen, labels or no..many options available! The app is packed giving it the ability to grow with your child or focus on specific goals.
