Kidney transplant team
I recently received a living donor transplant and the whole experience was amazing, from every member of every team I worked with it was the most complete and thorough experience in every single aspect.
From the beginning the dealt with my fears and insecurities of having to live what life a had left on dialysis and informed me of what my option of transplant would hold for me , both the benefits and the risks assuring me they would be with me on every part of the journey .
The coordination team always answered all questions and contacted me never leaving me hanging or in the dark .
The urology team where amazing , the surgery from start to finish as well as the consultation with doctor Gritch and his amazing team of doctors and nurses , I can’t begin to thank them enough .
The after care team catered to every need and request made by myself and the team , the staff to client ratio ensured that the proper care was given .
I was given an amazing second chance at life and would have chosen no better hospital to preform .
My living donor was treated like the hero he is.
Thank you so much

Dr. Lai and his team
Dr. Lai has been incredible to me over the 5 1/2 years that I’ve been going through my situation. He always provides me with details to help understand it and always transfers the detail that I can read on “myUCLA Health”. His team also always provides me information as fast as possible, that help in different situations. Thank you Dr. Lai and team!
Beth Kooyman,
Bitterly Disappointed
I called UCLA on Monday March 27, 2023 with covid asking if my doctor could prescribe any medication. I had to call back later in the day after not receiving any response from UCLA. I finally heard from UCLA after 4:00 pm on Monday. A tele visit was scheduled for 9:30 am on Tuesday March 28,2023. I signed in and waited for 20 minutes before terminating the call as the doctor was a no show. I called to complain about the no show on the appointment and then a doctor called me back . After I relayed my symptoms she offered a medication with possible side effects that I do not care to risk. I am very disappointed at how non- responsive UCLA has been. Having UCLA as a treatment facility is akin to having no doctor at all. Thank you for a very open display of incompetence and unresponsive personnel. Beth Kooyman

Completely Redesigned and a Big Improvement
The new UCLA Health app is a big improvement over the last version.

The new version makes it easy to find providers and locations, and get essential information, easily and in one place.

It also opens myUCLAhealth, so patients can get their health information without having to search for the other app.
Tuong Tieu,
Very useful app!
I use this app all the time when I’m at the medical center or looking up information about my physician. It integrates with myChart and even has a locations map of all the clinics. Love the new layout and design. So much better than the old one that was available to consumers a few years ago.

I have complained to your complaint line and in an online message which said there would be an answer sent within 48 hours. I have heard nothing from my request for an appointment earlier than Jan 19.
I suggest that you 1. Hire more support staff. 2. You treat staff with greater care and respect. 3. Train them better in what is considered a problem that is not routine. 4. Raise the salary of current employees so turn over is not so great.
Instead of asking patients for evaluation of services do some evaluation on your own and prepare to make much needed changes!
PickerPal,
Too Much Bureaucracy
I’ve got COVID. I’ve been sick for two days. I need my doctor to phone in a prescription to my pharmacy but UCLA insists we have a video conference. He’s not available so apparently I’m getting some doctor I don’t even know and it hasn’t been explained to me if this person is FaceTiming me or is it through the portal, do we do it by phone or do I have to be at my computer. This is very simple, why are you making it so goddam complicated? I’m not trying to get some dangerous narcotic! I just want the COVID medicine!

Royal Treatment
I had a sleeve revision surgery with Dr Dutson almost 3 months ago. He and the hospital were both fantastic! Dr Dutson came in to see me a couple of times post Op and the care at UCLA the two days I was in the hospital was exceptional. They were at my beck and call. I could not have asked for more.

Unwieldy
This is a great service to have for patients. On several levels it functions well enough. However, it does not allow for printing out reports from every platform, and there is no html only option instead of including any (ink wasting) graphic with it. Why not? Thanks.
UTTXRH,
100 Medical Plaza parking is a Chocolate mess
I enjoy the app, but when Dr only have office at the Medical Plaza, it’s hard to be pleased. The medical plaza office are not convenient the parking and access is a chocolate mess, and it just stresses a person out to come here. There are no signs to tell you were the elevator are to get to building #100. I came for a stress test and I am more stressed than I need to be. Terrible.
