3.2.1
2020-08-07
--- VERSION 3.2.1
- Fixed bug where mic input wasn't working correctly on some devices
--- VERSION 3.2
This update includes high frame rates, slow motion, and microphone audio responsiveness. In order to make high frame rates possible I had to rewrite all of the animation modes to support a variable time scale. I was then able to use this variable time scale to respond to audio from the microphone. There is a slider in the options panel that allow you to adjust the microphone sensitivity. Thank you so much to all the people who continue to download and support this app.
- Support for high frame rates. Uzu will now use the maximum frame rate of the device. This means 60fps for iPhone and iPad and 120fps for iPad Pro.
- Introduced "Time Scale" property slider that allows you to adjust the speed of the animations without changing the overall shape. See Uzu in slow mo!
- Renamed "Speed" to "Energy". This was done to help differentiate the two properties for affecting the overall speed.
- Uzu now reacts to audio from the microphone. When this mode is enabled, Uzu maps the mic levels to the "Time Scale" property.
- Added mic button to quick action menu.
- The quick action menu now hides when touching the screen.
- The quick action menu hides after a shorter period when not touching the screen.
- Added a slider in the options panel to adjust microphone sensitivity.
- Fixed a number of UI bugs where text would be the wrong color.

1.1.1
2010-09-23
*Bug fixes for reported crashing of version 1.1
*You may need to restart your iPad after updating (by holding down the lock button) in order to stop the launch crashes.
New in version 1.1:
*Added auto-play mode
*Added external display support (VGA Out)
*Added instructions page
:::: AUTO-PLAY CONTROL ::::
Auto-play allows you to sit back and enjoy Uzu's animations without needing to touch the screen. Auto-play mode randomly cycles through the different animation modes, simulating the movement of fingers across the screen. You can even interact with Uzu's "virtual" fingers by touching the screen while in auto-play mode. Up to 4 fingers can be used to interact with auto-play mode - at 5 fingers, auto-play mode is deactivated.
*To Enable Auto-Play: Give Uzu a quick front-to-back shake.
*To Disable Auto-Play: Touch the screen with 5 fingers.
*To Switch Auto-Play Modes: Shake Uzu again while auto-play is enabled.
During auto-play, animation modes will randomly switch and change. If you interact with auto-play mode by touching the screen, the current animation mode will stay locked until you release. In effect, the random switching of modes during auto-play is temporarily suppressed while touching the screen. If the combination of your touches and Uzu's touches are greater than 10, the animation mode starts again at 1 Touch.
:::: EXTERNAL DISPLAY SUPPORT ::::
You can watch Uzu on an external screen (TV, monitor, projector, etc…). To use an external display, simply plug in the the external display adapter (available for purchase on-line and in stores). Uzu will be shown on the external display, allowing you to use the iPad as a controller. This is great to use at social gatherings in conjunction with the auto-play mode.
